Aww bless her! Mine started at 1 year I think. It's completely normal. The eggs are not fertile but she needs to sit on them, in order to stop laying more. Make a nice soft nest inside a box turned sideways. I usually lay pillow or jacket filling and cover it with something soft. Then form a shallow hole where the egg would fit and not roll around.

@@HappyWhistles Good. She will likely lay two clutches. one after another. The first one might be of about 6 eggs. The second might be up to 9 She will sit on the first clutch for about 20 days after laying the last egg. (make a note of that) She will then leave them and you can dispose of them. In about 2 weeks or so, she will start laying her second clutch. As long as you let her sit on her eggs until she leaves them, she will not endlessly lay eggs. Make sure you buy calcium supplement for her water. She needs that during egg laying. Calcium helps prevent egg-binding (eggs getting stuck in her system).

Nobody made her do this. Female cockatiels can lay an egg without mating. It can happen all on its own. It just isn't fertile

Pls get back to I have had my pet birds since I was 9 I know like everything at least I thought I had gotten a cockatiel and I thought it was a male it’s actually a female and idk what to do it has no other mate in the cage I mean I have 3 parakeets but they can’t mate it’s impossible my question is how do I stop her from laying eggs I have tried everything she has laid 7 and idk what to do nothing is working I already made sure if they were fertil wich they are not but it’s been about 2 /3 weeks and I have reached out to many RU-vidrs about could u pls respond.!

Allow your bird to abandon the eggs of her own accord. Removing the eggs early will only cause her to lay more, which can lead to chronic egg laying. Always make sure that food and water are in easy reach of your bird. Otherwise, she may stop eating and drinking enough to sustain herself.
