Keep doing your thing bro. Better safe than sorry! A lot of guys just go straight to the power mods without doing the maintenance first. You're doing it right. The job is going to suck, but you'll be happy you did it.
f10 does have alot of problems, i can make a list of many problems ive fix on mine, im getting rid of it this year, the f10 body looks amazing thats about it
You have a plastic flange on the end of that coolant hose. Those flanges are known for becoming brittle and cracking. I would not be surprised if that's not the case with yours as well. The metal band that's holding the flange in place would have to be removed too. When I replaced mine, I took a pair of pliers and squeezed the metal band which crushed the cheap plastic flange and that allowed me to removed it out of the hose. From that point, you can squeeze the hose to remove the metal band because the metal band itself is welded into one piece. The rest from the point is straight forward once you replace the plastic with the metal flange. Also, put a small amount of silicon on the O-ring of the new metal flange because otherwise, it won't be so easy to push it into the opening.
@@jayboi634 yea they sell a metal part for that Mikey mouse house for the coolant imma just get that an attach it to the end of the hose.. my mechanic said that’s the best option an itll never leak again but i appreciate that feedback 💪🏾
Also look into getting a Kies crank seal guard. Easy to install and then you will never have to worry about the serpentine belt slipping off and causing issues.
Make sure you prime the oil pump after doing the oil filter housing and oil pan gaskets. Doing those will interrupt the oil circuit and potentially give you a spun bearing.
shit I know ur pain I bought a 09 E93 last year, 7 k in just maintenance! only had 115 K miles! I just ended up selling it! I was not trying to touch a thing myself with that car
BMW makes nice cars but they are money pits. everyone I know that had one will never buy a BMW again. I just had to change $300 worth of coolant hoses on a guys 2020 540M with only 58,XXX miles. usually oil leaks are caused by high interval oil changes. forget what the dealer or car reminder tells you, change it every 5,000 miles, I would even do it every 3,000 if it's turbocharged and driven hard...
Buys a BMW shocked it has tons of problems an it’s not that old 😅😅 jus playin bro but fr this why I starting buying Lexus wanted easy to repair and maintain an something that’ll take a solid beating reliably 😂😂
@@rayland9305 hmm did I say it was fast or reliable? Also don’t play with the gs300 they come with the 2jz slap a turbo an tune and you rolling with 600hp monster
@@rayland9305 ayy not everyone knows what they’re talking about when it comes to cars tho it’s fine bro you’ll learn one day just don’t be cocky on things you know nun about
@@05Elantra98GSGang sure just slap in a big turbo bro. You’ll have to put a gte motor in first since ppl are blowing pistons at only 400hp. You’ll also need the transmission to go with it. What that at so far 12-15g’s? I think you should worry about putting some wheels on that thing first cause damn that looks like your grammys car as it is.
@@reactionpods8954 see that’s what most people think but that’s because they aren’t too informed on cars my model Beamer plus are few other are some of the most reliable cars you can own.. I’ve got someone with a Beamer with over 240k miles with no issues
