Great video as usual. What are your thoughts on Danner? I have 2 pairs in my collection of about 15 boots. The Bull Run moc toe and their Chelsea boots that look similar to Red Wing. I'd also love a pair of their Wolf Creek Chukkas.

You have a great knowledge on boots. I came across your channel and am enjoying your content. I personally only own one pair of rugged boots by Irish Setter. The remaining I have are much dressier as I personally wear slightly narrow squarish toes and do not wear round toes. My question is that do these rugged boots come in dressier designs. Where I have a vibram sole but with a chisel toe for example? Are there companies out there who do this? Thank you and have a lovely day.

Tip: Eastland. Great boot. I just gave away a pair simply because I wanted to get a new pair but I’ll say this they were outstanding construction and very comfortable. They were 10 years old and loved them. The soles were showing slight wear. Highly recommend giving them a look.

23 in the lineup, 1 pair of Grant Stone on the way, 1 pair of Bordon being made, and I have all the boots I need until 2026. Enjoyed.

Portland leather goods is a scam, the rest are cool. I just got my personal grail boots, which are 8" Nicks in Wickett and Craig double stuffed leather with a classic high arch and heel. I love them and the breakin isn't even too bad so far.

Pink redwings gave me flashbacks 🤣 when I was a child of 4 my mother told the co op shoe store to tell me they couldn’t get me white or pink cowboy boots that I had somehow got in my head from watch Saturday morning Tv that showed old American westerns. She thought I would stand out too much in my Scottish village that could be slightly rough. I am sure that denial forged a determination in my soul to wear just what I liked in a low level rebellion, where the hankering vintage full length buffalo coat or the white furry car coat anything that took my fancy. Yes the regular attempted kickings were worth it….mostly.(insert Vietnam war style flashback here) That violence had nothing on the emotional violence of the school of art classism 🙄 yes the buffalo jacket might have been fake but I loved it n it loved me. I remember as I strode through the train station jacket and kilt flapping in a rush being stopped by the police on the way to a rugby match n pushed up against the wall, sweat beading on my forehead in front of my horrified date, as the station in Edinburgh watched intently with concern on their faces the policeman sternly put out on the radio he had apprehended the suspect ……….in the Fozzie bear murder case 😅strange what memories a pink pair of redwings can invoke
