I run mine with a full mobility setup and play as a medium hunter. It feels kind of like a perishing but with almost a T32 turret and with 230 pen.

Honestly some of the changes addressed issues the tank had. In world of powercreep the issue became obvious that 240 alpha isn´t that great, but what sort of made it an issue is when you combine low alpha with a rather bad/mediocre gun handling. If you have low alpha at least you need to have a gun that is snappy to compensate. You cannot afford to sit in the open for half an eternity to fully aim and then take 400 to the face as newer tanks with more alpha have a better gun handling then you have. The speed boost is also welcome as this make this tank no more flexible to play on the medium lane if you want to. As the tank has rather bad ground resistance that had you struggle to reach top speed on medium terrain. Which would have been something they should have fixed on top, as on medium terrain it´s still as slow as it used to be. Pen was alright but now the gun is snappier and the tank is more mobile. Perfectly fine changes. Same as what they did to the amx liberte, 300 alpha and an god awful gun handling just didn´t work on a compitive level. Now the gun is on point with the lowish alpha. Caernavon ax would need a similar fix. +4-5 kp/h top speed, + 2-3 kp/h reverse. Aimtime decrease and dispersion value adusted by -2-3 on traverse/rotation/gun rotation, and better tank rotation speed. Right now 230 alpha and 2.21 aimtime (stock) is just not good.

Iron Arnie, Renegade, T32-M, Skoda 56 and BZ176 happened.

I just want it to have 250 dmg Seeing a 190 roll against a Skoda or a BZ makes my heart sink in shame.

An interesting matchmaking idea i had was they should use tank ratings to find really strong tanks and instead of nerfing them, make them have the disadvantage of +2 matchmaking and at best only matchmaking with the tier they are at. While the other tanks will have +/-1 matchmaking.

Hi, skill. I'm a Asia server player and I truly enjoy the +/-1 mm which appear most of the time and make the game experience way more batter.

For 2k damage you need 8 shots, Skoda needs 2 reloads. Bz similar 250 man.... Give it liberté or iron Arnie or lower alpha, or at least Carnarvon dpm....

+2/-2 is stomp or be stomped. For me it's the biggest problem with the game

The original overpovered tier 8 heavy. The reason why patriot is not so good is because the other premium heavys got more armor and biger guns. While trading shots the other heavys will slap you for 400, 460 or even for 800. Sometimes autoloading 900/1000 damage burst. Thats why rene is now the dpm heavytanks to play with. It has 360 alpha so it can trade shots and it has the dpm and it has some armor too.

Another thing i find extremely weird from wg side, they buff the pershing, which don´t get me wrong was overdue, but the m46 korea patton (that suffers the same issues) has been left unchanged. Make this make sense. Heck even the t25 pilot got some minor buff.

It was my first premium tank, i am very glad to see it buffed. The thing with this tank is either you get very good result in battles or the opposite due to its alpha, but on the other side it's a very good credit maker, actually i am going as far to say that it's the best premium you can get in the bond store among the tier 8s talking about quality/price ratio, why ? Some of you will say Lorrain is better, and i don't deny that, but the fact that lorrain requires so much more skills to play with is down-grading a bit due to it being an autoloader, patriot is more likely to cover a larger audience of players when we talk about gameplay, and and other tanks in the same classe (heavy) like IS-6, IS-5 or Alpine Tiger are far more boring and worse than patriot, maybe liberté now is better but i never played it so i can't really talk about it But yeah, that's my opinion, the Patriot is not that banger/meta of a tank considering there is BZ, Skoda and other tanks which are more meta, but this tank has owned a certain place in my heart

Oyster bay is such a wierd map. They made it extra large yet 1/4 of it is water, and the whole middle is basically unplayable until the end. So its just extra time driving with no benefit comapred to a smaller map.

For my part, the Patriot had decent if mediocre mobility (I mean, it's a Heavyum), a good turret, good base penetration... and that's about it. The gun felt painfully slow to reload (which is weird, I know), it was never accurate for me (though I don't run mine with Cola, which might have some effect), and the 240, despite the low cost of the ammo, just wasn't punchy enough for a Heavy. I'll have to revisit it (recently re-installed the game after about a year's break...we'll see how long I'll last this time around...) now that it's gotten a bit better, but I think I'll still stick to the Renegade and the good ol' boy T34 for the most part, if I feel like riding in a 'Murican Heavy Premium.

The patriot change is right on the sweet spot I think it keeps it's unique low alpha but gets better around stats way better than over buffing a prem like the turtle or leaving it to die for good like the CDC 😂

the Patriot is a tank you need to play aggressivly in to be successful. It does have a strong turret and troll cupola, but if you can't properly aim your shots to widdle down the enemy in front of you, you'll be there for quite a while. The changes allow this tank to fullfil that role quite well, especially the gun handling and accuracy buffs. If you poke corners with your front hull at a sharp enough angle, you get 315-350mm of effective armor. You can sidescrape, but you do have a pennable area, similar to the lowe. However, this tank can work if you throw yourself out there, even against tier 10s, just be sure to play hull down against them or sidescrape, poking with your front is not a great idea.

Exactly the same feeling as you do. The buffs were needed, but I feel there are better tanks like caernarvon from techtree which is better in any way (agility apart). Patriot gun still feels unraliable, small alpha dmg and the fast shell velocity (weirdly) isn’t that fast. But the money you can make with it is outstanding.

I dont mind +2-2 mm at all, slaughtering lower tiers is fun, when meeting higher tier opponents i will simply adapt with my gameplay, like just play safer or spot if ur a lower tier?? the game gives you tools, just use your brain, load gold, play differently, its not hard at all and -2 is coming in the next couple games

The best part about the changes is that this tank is better at higher tiers when played in more of a support or pseudo medium capacity. You can go to the medium flank/none heavy flank in a t10 match and work ridges or support areas bit easier with the increased stats. Your increased speed and gun stats don't make you a medium but with a good crew you can kind of fill that support sniper role if you are can flank or spams some gold/target low armor targets. Yes the shiters will be mad about you being "SNIPA HEAVY" they are shiters flush their chat down the toilet and go next with a decent 2-4k damage tier 10 game under your belt.

The biggest problem of Patriot is that T32 is in everything better. T32 has better DPM, gun-handling, 80 more alpha and on top of that even better turret armour and it's even faster (on med terrain). 2,1k base DPM on 240alpha tank is quite laughable, they should gave Patriot 2,3k base DPM and it will be quite average. Now it's for me below average, worse than most of tech-tree 8 Tier heavys. AMX M4 49 is now definitely better (and quite a unique tank).

I don't think that it's only you that wants +-1 MM. I think almost everyone wants it. Even as top tier I hate seeing 2 lower

+1/-1 Matchmaking would be the best improvement to the current game. Its much needed.

Yesterday I was so happy that I managed to craft 4500 dmg with this tank, thank you skill for making my performance look average in a way 😂

You might do better in T-832 but NOT make nearly the amount of credits I assume.

My credit grinder got a sweet buff! I neither like nor hate it in pre-buff state, but it was really playable enough. Thanks to these buffs, I can now run turbo+hardening combo to it! Cheap-ammo tank lezzgooo! Oh, and there are leaks that bond shop will be changed again this year, so if you want a tier 8 prem, wait for the changes first. Patriot is also a good choice, but there is a chance they'll release better tanks.

Patriot was my favorite tier 8 back in the days, now it's performing better and I can enjoy it again...

Problet with Patriot are terrain resistances. WG did buffed the top speed to 45 but because of awful soft stats can't even reach 40 km/h. Turbo is realy not helping the mobility exept reverse speed and grousers will only improve that a tuch. And also for a 90mm gun WG should also buff the dispersion on turret traverse. 0.13 is mediocre for 320 alpha gun or they could give it more DPM

They said they buffed this tank so i bought it. I now have 20 games on it and won 1 game. I can't do shit with it despite the fact that it was top tier in almost every one of those 20 games... WTF??? I'm no unicom but WOW... It's fucking horrendous....WTF

I would go that far, that WG should not only get rid of +2 matchmaking, but also get rid of arty.

I got this tank as rental fir 10 days long time ago. It turned to me with 25% winrate after about 15 battles a I was so upset... Now I got this tank for bonds to check it again...

This video reminded me of what frustrated me about wot: maps that were designed to have crossfires everywhere and you get shot from every direction and all you can do is sit and wait to die.

I’ve seen Mr iyouxin say some very good things about this tank, almost considering buying mr patriot when I get the bonds.

This was my first tier eight premium! I love the speeeeed boost 😂 although I can’t seem to get to full speed even with a turbo. How can I fix that?

On the Asia server only tier 8 has minus 2 matchmaking. No tier 7 fighting tier 9, 6 against 8, etc. To be fair the Asia server does have some other draw back, but match making is definitely better compared to EU.

To me the Patriot just always felt underwhelming and that thing you look at as "why waste money". In almost everything the t-32 does it better besides top speed and penetration. As for DPM again the T-32 takes the cake with while not being by much having a higher dpm with the Patriot needing an extra shot in order to equal the damage but with actually a faster aim time and pre buff the same dispersion. As for armor I still have to say the T-32 has a loads better turret with it being able to bounce higher tier gold rounds. I may have to check it back out

+2mm is the main problem in this game since 2012

Patriot, Skorpion and Type 59 were my goto premiums for credit making ... and JT 8.8 was fun until i became better at the game lol.

I think you gradually stopped loving patriot because of the meta alfa shift over time (to 300-320 now - same reason why I like progetto less than earlier) combined with faster games = less influence and possibilities. This tank needed a buff (not gonna argue if in all those departments or the values), got a great one, not making it excellent, broken or even close to borat, skoda t56 of bz, but actually enjoyable. All increased stats are basically tweaks to make it look more like new tier 8 hts - they are usually faster and can aim faster with smaller dispersion than prebuffed patriot could.

Went on there this morning, LOSS LOSS LOSS> fixed matchmaker ruins this game. Nothing more UNFUN than playing a game the INTENTIONALLY creates imbalanced teams. Ill never understand it. Someone being rewarded getting be on the stacked of winners. EVERY day I lose more games than I win. Ever since I quit sending in the money.

Still thinking it have too low alpha just like AX. Sometimes you would have games when u can simply use dpm, but i think nowadays games are like 15:0 simulation and most of the games you will be able to make like 5 shots no more.

Weird, I always thought this tank was overpowered...

I think that alpha damage is simply too low. In my opinion heavy tanks should have atleast 320 dmg per shot. Even few of the mediums tanks from the same tier are more usefull in the mordor coz of the dmg and better armor turret.

First game, the Lowe and the T29 sit up nice and high exposing their lower plates and sides. In my games on that corner, they are always hulldown and impenetrable. Paid actors? WG father?

lol Normal if the section is weak he does a 4th game. This time it like Nope my mind is set nothing changed move on. So sad. Some love alpha, some love quick fire. This is a above avg tank now but it will not get a real shake. So sad. it one of the best credit makers were you do not have to shot gold and still do will in higher tiers.

Tried it for a session after the buff. It's still absolute trash in today's meta. The pen still isnt enough. The alpha is pathetically low for a heavy when you face off against Renegades, Skoda T 56s, and BZ-176s. Even TECH TREE tier 8s have bigger alpha than this thing. The armor is also mediocre as most everyone loads gold nowadays, meaning your turret is swiss cheesed really quickly. In the next trade event, I'm planning on pawning mine off for something else at tier 8.

skill I think they buffed Wz-111G FT tier 9 also without let us know by reading the article. Shell velocity was buffed from 760 to 920 or something, dispersion from 0.38 to 0.36 and so on. You can check new stats directly in the game. Will you test it and make video about? I would really like a video about buffed WZ-111G tier 9. I dont know why they didnt added to buffed tanks list on their site. You are the best! 🙂

+2 MM forces people to spend more gold, spend more free xp use boosters etc to skip some of the worst experience in the game you can have, playing with stock t5/6/7 tanks in +2 mm. in the end it makes WG more money, since free to play you can only get to like t6

People used to call this OP this was only on on paper. The gun is worthless complete trash with trash alpha. The buff didn't look like it did anything but make it faster.. needed a big gun buff didn't get it
