There are places where it's considered just another part of the atmosphere. I live a couple miles from North Padre Island, and pretty much any place out there is good with it. Especially the ones directly on the beaches.

Bisexual gal’s girlfriend CHANGED her style drastically after they began dating, and was basically saying “well I like this, so deal with it.” Her last comments on the post also pointed to an intentional disrespect of her partner’s opinions. Not cool behavior blatantly disrespecting their girlfriend. Very icky and self centered post honestly. As an immigrant, our families have different cultural values that reflect our backgrounds. I didn’t come out to my family as pan for a LONG time because of conservative values that were difficult to get past.

As someone who has a 1st gen Asian grandma I can understand the girlfriend’s side, and I can also understand OPs side. But at the end of the day it’s about what you’re willing to compromise for your partner. If your ideas about respect and other aspects of your life don’t line up you shouldn’t be together. I think the biggest issue isn’t really how OP was dressing, it was really that they went out of their way to act out, instead of being respectful of the boundary in the moment and then talking about it later to decide the trajectory of the relationship 🤷‍♀️

2nd story I agree with Sam's take. They were both fine with their choices until OP broke her gf's boundry. Barging in and dressing like that is her bringing shame upon her gf and is the equivalent of slapping the parents in the face. They really just need to break up after that.

26:47 dude op is the asshole AND she’s crazy disrespectful. Her girlfriend sounded fine with how she dresses she just didn’t want her to do it around her parents. You can’t be with the parents that much it’s not a huge ask to put on a shirt when your around your partners parents ESPECIALLY if you know they aren’t comfortable around people who barely wear clothes. You can dress how you want but if you can’t be respectful of your partners parents than you can’t spend time with them. If you want to spend time with them your girlfriend told you what you needed to do to do that. If you can’t respect those boundaries than you aren’t old enough or mature enough to be in a grown up relationship. Op is crazy childish and I truly hope that op breaks up with her. If the parents liked op before they probably aren’t fans of her disrespectful behavior anymore.

i don't think the girlfriend is totally fine with the way OP dresses because she said "i dont want my sister to dress like you", implying theres something wrong with it and that its shameful. for sure though, OP was 100% wrong for randomly showing up at a restaurant in a bralette when not explicitly invited/dressed appropriately.

Story 2: Regarding the clothing dispute...It is one thing to ask a partner to dress up to meet a parent for the first time. That is just dressing appropriately for the circumstances. BUT, it is very inappropriate to declare that you wouldn't want a sibling to start dressing like your partner. That is a level of disrespect that needs to be addressed. Clearly, OP's partner thinks less of OP for the way she dresses, and if OP values her freedom to dress as she wishes, that sounds like an incompatibility that needs to be recognized and addressed.

I disagree. If you’re an adult you can do what you want, but some things aren’t appropriate for younger kids to wear. This also depends on the age of the sister, but let’s say she’s 12ish, I might be old but I don’t think 12 years should be dressing risqué. Too many pervs in the world. You don’t have to think less of someone or even not appreciate their style of dressing and at the same time not want them to dress risqué around their conservative parents. I do think it’s inappropriate to wear certain things to certain places. If someone wants to dress like they are going to the club all day every day, good on ya, but for some places that’s just not it. Also, wearing a bikini looking top to restaurant, uninvited, with someone’s conservative parents is not cool. It giving major main character energy. With that main character being the villain. OP is coming off purposefully disrespectful and just trying to be an AH to prove what? That she doesn’t give a crap about what anyone thinks and will force her will onto everyone? OP sounds abusive. I hope the girlfriend bounces and finds a partner who respects her.

Second story OP is the worst. I am not modest by any means but my boyfriend does not have to ask me not to wear a tiny tank top in front of his parents. Customs and values aside. I have triple D’s. Even if I’m not trying to come off a certain way, I will, and I KNOW THAT. So disrespectful and so mean. She does not care about her partner.

S1: i think he was trying to buy her which is why he kept paying for all those trips cause otherwise why would it cost so much to go to LA unless he was trying to stay in the best of the best places. i think both of them stretched things on both ends, and i’m always suspicious when someone else comes in with an other side that is so wildly different.

For the second story I'm kind of in the middle. I think asking your partner to not dress like themself long term around your family is probably not going to work out. I think compromises can be had, but that doesn't necessarily mean one extreme or the other. You can meet in the middle in such a way that both parties are as comfortable as possible. But OP just showing up uninvited intentionally being petty and aggressive? That's not how you keep a partner or compromise/meet in the middle

For the first story, I knew the (now ex) girlfriend wasn't telling the whole truth the moment she mentioned she made a post of her morning routine. She sounds like an immature, attention seeking girl who wants everything served to her on a silver platter and seeks validation constantly, even when she's in the wrong. Like really, you got time to make posts like that but won't help your boyfriend at all? She seems like the kind of person who blows up at the smallest inconvenience and instead of addressing things privately she decided to paint her boyfriend as the bad guy just to boost her own ego.

I probably would have helped my boyfriend move instead of focusing on 'self care', but that is just me. OP sounds maybe a wee bit selfish, but that is where she is at in life. She is a college student and working on herself. They are obviously in different places and I don't think they should be together. OP sounds like she still has a lot of growing up to do and life to experience, and that is fine.

I hate to say it, but I was seeing through that first gal pretty quickly. She sounded so selfish and entitled. Everything was revolving around her and her wants and needs. She had no concern to help her bf, but plenty of time for "self care." I had a feeling his side would be an eye opener for the panel, as it was. Sounds like he needs to stop picking his dates based on their Instagram selfies. Unfortunately, I think learning how to spot the "bad guy" is something that only comes with experience. It makes it hard to navigate relationships in your 20's when you won't be able to see a lot of toxic traits until your 30's or later. It's just a sad part of growing up that can't be avoided. If only we could combine the wisdom of our older ages with the vitality that is so fleeting in our youth.

Here we go again with men not getting a fair Shake on this channel on Story 1 this man all he did was buy a house and say he plans on her to move in at some point he never said that he forced her to move in immediately all he said was I bought a house for you to move in later on your own terms and I bought the house with you and mind and now out of nowhere he's put so much stress on the relationship that makes no sense all he did was buy a house there is no pressure to move in because quite literally from the woman's perspective she said he bought the house for her to move in at some point she didn't say immediately and now it's oh if somebody would do that to me I would break up with him because he put pressure on the relationship but he said it's up to you😂😂😂😂
