It’s been 5 years and every time I bring up getting engaged or married it causes a fight and he pulls away. My parents are old, my kids think I’ll never get married again, and they want me to be happy. I do feel as though I’m not worthy as he knows what I want but refuses to give this to me .He keeps saying we have more important things to worry about and sees everything from a financial perspective. I got a promise ring after a heated argument but he said it’s not an engagement ring. Every time I feel slapped in the face. When I say nothing about it, he does nothing and when I do he still doesn’t. I’ve related to your video as I feel I have moments of sadness about what could have been yet he is stopping it. I think he needs help and encouragement to finally grow up and marry me and share everything with me so we can join together and no longer have separate lives.

Ultimatums don't work. If you're living with him and he won't marry you and it causes fights, that's your sign. Choose you first. You don't need a man to validate you

She 100 percent right women dont need to base their value on marriage. You should just know your value. Plus your not legally tied to a person.

I feel bad for the guys. Guys do so much for us. In most cultures around the world romance seems to focus on us while guys have to do it all: approach us, ask us out, pursue us, court and romance us, pay for everything, propose, save like 3 months of their salary to buy us a ring, talk to both families, etc. And all we do is show up to the date? Thats cold haha! I might get weird looks from friends but I do those things for the guy I am seeing just like he does for me. Come on girls. Lets put some effort for the guys just like we expect from them.

@laylalayla6630 I'm in a lot of support groups for women across the country. What you have described occurs to zero women who have ever talked about their experience. Men don't even want to pay the bill anymore, they ghost, lack communication skills, and sometimes make less money than we do. Additionally, they are stuck in perpetual Peter Pan syndrome, Not to mention, one in four women will be sexually assaulted in their life, and domestic violence is a global epidemic. The New York Times just did a story saying if you want to know why women aren't getting married, ask them what dating is like. And the research just said exactly what I just These men are absolutely bottom of the barrel. I want nothing to do with them. And no, I'm not a lesbian.
