That's actually what I did. I also don't use it on "high" anymore.

Easy fix if you are working with a different stove material. There are heat resistant spacer for bottom plate at , welding shop store, or mechanic / auto or buy the fans that strap to a pipe of the stove.

I just wrapped the wires in foil.

I covered the wires with aluminum foil, and I only use the heater on LO when I use the fan on it.

We use a coal stove for our home during the winter months, here in PA. Keeps everything very warm.

The one I got is CRSure or something like that. I wrapped aluminum foil around the wires and only use it on Lo.

About 5 hours I think. I only use it for short periods to take the chill off. No more than a couple hours at a time, so I'm not 100% sure about the run time.

@@DanHiteshew-oneandonly If you read the literature on the heater, it tells you how long it lasts per fillup (bottles) on both high and low. One can burn through a 20 pound bottle of propane in 3-4 days if used on high. 20 weeks of cold weather @ 40 pounds a week is about 800 pounds of propane a season (roughly 1,000 gallons). It can help in certain cases for temporary heating, especially small spaces. But to heat a living room for a family it is quite expensive. Always good to have a backup heat source and MANY extra bottles of propane. Nearly every house made has 1/10th the insulation needed to make heating and cooling economical. A rocket mass heater might be a better option.

It’s actually a circuit that is powered by the difference in heat in separate parts. It’s very clever.

@@jamisonsdad1963 bet they are asking about the lamp. There are low smoke and non scented and other kinds of lamp oil. Great ideals and when the power goes out everyone not prepared comes to RU-vid fore heating and light ideals.

It depends on what color I paint it. I think it was dark blue or purple in this video.
