It should be noted that, while the dish made in this video was inspired by the Burmese "Khao Soi" (which in turn is an evolution of an earlier dish from the Yunnan province of China), it is actually very different from the original (which is also eaten in other SE Asian countries, not just Myanmar). Actual Khao Soi is a broth-based dish made with chicken in a coconut curry with rice noodles (or egg noodles) floating in the broth, and is eaten in a similar way as ramen (both as a soup and with chop sticks for the noodles). The Pakistani variant is a derivative of the street food in East India that was itself based on, but still different from, the Burmese version of Khao Soy. You should try making the original Khao Soy (I'm sure there are many recipes online). It's so much better than the Pakistani version.
@@faizamir5904 I'll have to find one. I've eaten original Khao Soi many times at Burmese restaurants and at a Burmese friend's house and it was completely different. When I find a link to a recipe I'll link you to it.
