Natalie, I have watched your blogs, and I realize that WE are so similar, and I am 82, albeit in good shape physically. One thing to OUR credit is that we are in touch with our emotions and inner selves and have the guts to analyze what we find there. The VAST majority of people have no idea, no clue, who they are and are petrified at trying to discover themselves. Anything but THAT. I believe that both of us find fulfillment in the CHASE itself, not in the ATTAINMENT itself when attained, because now that is done and what next. I think that is being alive. Those sitting in idle not ever looking inside hardly are alive. They are existing with the dimmest light imaginable, but not alive to themselves. Statistically, from a percentage basis, YOU had a better chance of being admitted to Harvard than getting a CJO from B6. You are in rarefied company. You are a most intelligent young woman. Your introspection is to be cherished. Because we change constantly, we will find a stranger within if we do not continuously monitor who we are becoming. How tragic for those for whom someone else knows them more for the truth than they do themselves. If we find attributes inside that we abhor I. Ourselves, at least we can instigate modifiers, because no one else can. Those sitting in idle gear will never know what they are projecting even to themselves. When someone ever asks me if I think i need a psychiatrist, I usually answer as a joke that every one of them ever consulted was committed after seeing me.
