I ALWAYS have spring anxiety! For myself, I've come to believe it's because I'm a highly sensitive person and find the changes to my environment overstimulating. So many new noises, it's light so much later and with it is the expectation to do so much more, more plans/invites etc. I'm safe in my little cocoon of winter and slowness and it takes me a while to warm up to a quicker pace of life. By summer I'm ready and the anxiety is gone! Maybe that resonates:)

How do you diagnose with HSP is it self diagnosed?

@@xoxjelloxox It's not a formal diagnosis! It's more a specific set of traits that presents itself. I have a master's of Psych and have worked through it in therapy:)

@@mackenzief4961 i think I am emotionally highly sensitive but I don’t think environment affects me that much unless it’s like drilling or pounding etc. I need ways on how to be less emotionally sensitive though, any tips?

@@xoxjelloxox Therapy is a great place to start to understand what brings up heightened emotions in yourself and where the reactions may stem from! If therapy is out of reach I'd recommend reading: Body Keeps the Score, No Bad Parts, Attached. Great podcasts are: Dear Therapists, Where Should We Begin? Hope that helps!xx

I've always had the same thing!! My grades were worse in school, the reset from the new year worn off, etc. And then it's so long until summer. We've missed you !

Awww Allegra, I love how you're so authentic and real, it makes watching your videos so much fun! I used to get anxious during the month of August because certain types of weather would remind me of a traumatic time in my life, and I would feel nauseated. However, it has gone away over the years and now my body doesn't respond that way anymore. Just give it time and trauma therapy xo

I hope your therapist has helped you with your particular issue. One tip is that it should not take an interminable amount of sessions. If it does, this is a bad sign.
