Hi, @sofia was just wondering if there is a step for the invitation of pre-arrival as well in express entry ?????/ and how long does it take to get the final portal request from there onwards????????

Hi I am not really sure abt pre arrival process as I applied from Canada , the final portal request time varies acc to how long ircc is taking to process , but usually is 1-2 weeks max

Congratulations sofi and the best video i have seen till now. 🎉. I have just 1 question i submitted my profile on 31 January and on feb 29 i received the bio metric and medical request and everything was updated on the portal on 2 april , does it mean that they have verified all the documents and i will receive the email soon or why does it takikg so long because in tracker i can see background verification is in progress but as you said if the bio metric and medical is done then i should have received it by now. Also i have applied from india express entry.

Hi it may be taking longer as u applied from India , also depends which office is processing your application, however getting biometric request usually means everything has been reviewed. Hope u get it soon

Please find below the details as requested Name as it appears in your passport: UCI: Email: Original entry date (YYYY/MM/DD) : Date of last time you entered Canada (YYYY/MM/DD): Location where you last entered (which Canadian border or Canadian airport): Toronto Are you currently inside Canada (yes or no): Yes If you are not inside Canada :NA When is your expected return date (YYYY/MM/DD): NA In which country are you currently located: Canada Eyecolor - Height Additionally I do not have the username and password for the PR portal , kindly assist in creating an account for me . Hey sofia. My case is same as yours. I waa on study permit when i applied for PR. Everything is done but I am waiting for ecopr and its been a week. Submitted my photo on portal on 14 june 2024 (Friday) and am waiting for ecopr email (today is 5th business day) I can see that you have received yours within 2 business days but in my case its been 5 business days.

The reason I'm asking is because my employment is on hold because of ecopr. There are two options for me. Either wait for ecopr or apply for PGWP and start working on applied status of PGWP. I am unable to figure out what is the right thing to do. I need an idea of the maximum time it could take to get ecopr (in worst case scenario).

Will you mind sharing if I received ecopr and leave immediately for India then could I enter to Canada on the basis of ecopr ? Or will I require to secure PRTD to enter ?

It should not be a problem as the eye colors are quite similar, however i would recommend emailing ircc and fixing it

Hey there is no need to upload the ielts docs as you will entering your ielts certificate number through ircc can confirm however if u want u can upload it under optional documents

I got my Portal 1 email today and I’ve submitted my details as per your instructions. Thank you for the information and I need advice as my work permit expires on July 14,2024. Is it advisable to apply for bridging work permit to not lose my job just in case if it gets delayed or wait for 1-2 weeks until June ending to check if it speeds up?

Congratulations! Since u have a few more weeks before the work permit expires, u can wait a lil longer before till end of June , for me it took just a few days so u May get it too

@@avsprakash9356 hey hoping u get it soon , this is what my aOR letter says , think yours should also be saying this If you are currently working in Canada on a work permit that is about to expire, and you meet all other requirements, you may use this letter to apply for a bridging open work permit. For more information, visit our our website. You are cautioned that if we reject your application for permanent residence as incomplete: • we will refuse your completed application for a bridging open work permit; and • your processing fees for a bridging open work permit will not be refunded , So I think bridging work permit would be the best way

Thanks ! I don’t think they checked my student visa application but my documents were all kind of the same and I had already explained about my work experience in my statement of purpose for study visa and attached a reference letter from my manager and my employment letter was also signed by the same manager so I am guessing if they did there was no issue
