Hi my name is Katarina, I'm 28, and I'm an avid car enthusiast. I own a 1981 ford mustang. My 81 is a pretty much base notchback with the 200 inline 6 that has a bunch of mods including a t5 manual, 8.8 with 3.55s and a lsd, and a bunch more. Plus a 1981 Mercury Capri 200 inline 6 4 speed SROD. I pretty much live and breathe vehicles. Everything from muscle, imports, trucks, modern, old take your pick. I know a ton about cars due to a ton of research and working on the cars that I have.

Junkyard rescue problems, but you knew that going in. Still better than many more modern vehicles. Curious about Dads Dodge, did you figure out what broke? Stay dirty 👍

I built my 81 Capri back in 84. I lowered D it, put 16” Simon’s 3 pace rims on it with a Kamei body kit and built the engine. Was doing low 11’s back then and that was way before they had tons of aftermarket parts like the Chevy gang had. It took some engineering on my part but I made it work and today is full of parts to make it go . I will never sell my car. Be very careful when jacking up your car on gravel. If you can , put a board under it to help it from sinking into the ground. Use jack stands when you are around it or going under it. My best friend was crushed under his car a few years back when his car slipped off the jack.

Honestly I was fine. There's a reason why I didn't go underneath it with any body parts without jackstands or the ramps.

Get a jackstand under that car or even the tire. Never trust a jack.

Gosh I hate those wheels every fox I got back in the day had them lol 😆 id have had like 5 sets if i kept them all lol glad you got it if you keep having issues after the filter change you may want to check the pickup sock if you have one hope you have a great day 😀

Try changing the fuel filter. It’s probably plugged up with debris. Check your plugs and distributor. Maybe a tune up could help. Don’t forget your brake booster if you are having stopping issues.
