Hi Izzy! Please continue making these videos. My sister and her entire family are in the process of converting and there are so many fascinating things about Judaism. I am merely trying to learn what I can to have intellegent conversations with her. We were both raised Christian and we both had major issues with the typical Christian church. Her and I have worshipped the Creator in our own ways for all these years but now she has found something that stirs her soul. I have never seen her this happy in her entire life! I am very interested to hear more from you as you have experience in both worlds AND still follow your faith (as said in the first video I watched of you). Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us and be strong. The internet can be an awfully nasty place. Blessings.

Izzy, I really appreciate your state. You shifted, but I rarely see any hate in your discussions. It is something worth noting. Would love to see Yiddish, media, education and literature grow, Me and plenty of my (Chasidish) friends greatly appreciate your work.

Yiddish sounds beautiful! You make me want to learn it. Thank you for including English subs for us non-Yiddish speakers. I think this is an important video, for both those within Hasidic communities and those outside who want to better understand the perspective of these communities.

I would like to do some "research" on how people deal with the feelings and pressure associated with seemingly continuously and actively "shaming" your parents, siblings, family. Unlike other so called OTD people you have not moved on and you are actively and loudly reaching out to the people you left. You could easily carry on with your enlightened and enriched life and not look back, but you choose to try and communicate with your previous world. You are no doubt aware of the possible pain caused by this, rightly or wrongly, but you do not seem to care about this. Is this a form of revenge? or do you think your family do not care about this? or do you not care about their feelings? I am intrigued by your rational

I think and agree that education is very very important i wonder what masters and degree did you get out of eating a ham sandwich? did that advance you to a brilliant student? and why does very social media have to know what you eat and what you drink what has it got to do with attention seeking thirst you have? eat and drink what you want and don't talk about it??? and you say that you where bullied at school on a daily bases I am a generation older then you and was not so beaten up why do you not become a modern Jew and be happy? the answer is attention attention !!! yitzchok you can always come back like other clever lads did

Boubala...here is my story...I hope you check out the truth and wisdom I've discovered....all the best always... I was brought up orthodox jewish but realized 45 years ago that way of life was ridiculous. But immediately I questioned.....if being religious is "wrong", what is "right"? After 45 years of searching and investigating I've come to a place where I've started to see a little maybe what is the TRUTH. I'm "sensing, intuiting" (this is not belief but experience) that it can be known... 1)where we came from 2) why we're here 3) where we go after we die. After searching for 45 years I've found the greatest wisdom (Truth and Bliss) is in the Yoga philosophies...Advaita Vedanta non duality.. All that I've "discovered" comes mostly from the wisdom of the Far East. Buddhism, Yoga, Taoism. And also from astrology, enneagram, Sufism etc etc. And from so many great self-help authors too. There are so many great tools out there that can help us be so much more happier than we are. For me this the wisest, most reasonable, common sense way to see the world. I consider these philosophies and not religions. All the best to all of us!!!!!!!!!

You make no sense whatsoever. If you left then there must have been a reason… Do you still keep the mitzvot..? If you don’t keep the mitzvot and don’t like their way of life you have nothing to engage about. I’m looking for a way to learn and to keep more mitzvot because there’s nothing in this world worth doing besides serving Hashem our creator and father. It’s all so mundane and pointless. You have no idea what you gave up. It’s sad really…
