I hate tight jeans, they are so uncomfortable. I try to buy skinny jeans that aren't too tight because I swear I can feel the way it restricts my bloodfloow. :V
The son was given to an old friend as an infant. The child finally learns about his parents when he turns 12. Being the curious kid that he is, conventional weapons runs away from home to discover his family roots. *to be continued*
It's kinda ironic because there is a song in this album where Gerard sang "I'M NEVER GONNA HAVE A SON", but yeah I agree with you. The genre and the music styles are kinda influenced by "Danger Days" and "Three Cheers".
This is one of the few songs that I can listen to for hours at a time. And the "la la la la" towards the ending is the cutest yet most threatening thing ever.
There is a theory that that song was actually written about this song. All of the Conventional Weapons songs were recorded during the Danger Days sessions, but weren’t put on the album. We Don’t Need Another Song About California was a deluxe edition track on Danger Days so that song could have been made to rebel against this one.
"Boy Division" If all my enemies threw a party Would you light the candles? Would you drink the wine? While watching television? Watch the animals And all the tragedies And sell your arteries And buy my casket gown Well, it better be black And it better be tight And it better be just my size I’m stalking these metro malls And airport halls And all these schoolgirls I’m not asking You’re not telling He’s not dead he only looks that way Out nowhere Take me out there Far away and save me from my self-destruction Hopeless for you Sing a song for California I bought my enemies rope to hang me And the knives to gang me You can watch ‘em stab me on your television Stomp the halls Because the bathroom walls Would have a lot to say about The lines you’re putting down! It better be white It better be cut It better be just my size Until my capillaries burst of boredom, I’ll be waiting I’m not laughing You’re not joking I’m not dead I only dress that way Out nowhere Take me out there Far away and save me from my self-destruction Hopeless for you Sing a song for California Wherever you are Whatever you are Whoever you are Wherever you are LALALALA ‘Cause we got the bomb, we got the bomb (LET’S GO!) We got the bomb, we got the bomb (LET’S GO!) We got the bomb, we got the bomb (LET’S GO!) We got the bomb, we got the bomb (LET’S GO!) Way out nowhere Take me out there Far away and save me from my self-destruction Hopeless for you Say a prayer for California WE GOT THE BOMB! WE GOT THE BOMB! WE GOT THE BOMB! WE GOT THE BOMB!
GUYS GUYS So I just read a comment below about how this was supposed to be danger days but they scrapped it and I don't know why but it made me get this illusion this was a new album they have made and now I'm going to listen to this whole album because I can pretend they never broke up and this is a whole new album
When he said "la la la" I thought of the joker then I thought if Gerard played the joker that would be amazing. He would bring just the right amount of sass and insanity :D
Isaac Dwyer That wasn't the original guy. That was the actor in the movie from 2008, but there was another Batman movie with the Joker in it in 1989. And there is also the cartoon Joker from the 90's.
I went through their entire discography trying to find this because that guitar riff has been in mind for the past 17 days but I didn't know the name of the song, I can finally rest.
Whenever I write my will for when I die, I'm going to put ''And buy my casket gown, it better be black, it better be tight, it better be just my size.'' xD
There are some songs that just make me feel fucking insane when I'm singing them, and this is one, along with You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison, Honey, This Mirror Ain't Big Enough For The Two Of Us, and Goodnight Socialite (by the Brobecks). Shit.
I feel insane singing house of gold, when Tyler hits the scream I start giggling then I start cursing myself then I scream because I missed half the song
Wow, just wow, oh well, I found out about two years ago in seventh grade, man, good times. if you really like this songs, listen to "Calm Before The Storm" by hollow point heroes, "I Survive" by We Came As Romans and finally "Hope" by We Came As Romans. my music taste may be very bad, sorry for bothering
The fact that this compilation is basically an album of B-side/scrapped songs from 2009 and they are THIS GOOD is just proof of MCR's insane talent and skill.
*when your b day is march 22* edit: HOLY SHIT TF AND no my bday is in July I made the big joke. I’m glad I made 340 people smile Edit:I forgot I made this lmao, Over four hundred ppl enjoyed this I'm glad
anyone else think this song is addictive? I haven’t destroyed the replay button so much as been scrolling through the comments and jumped to the various good bits and then listened to the end. over and over again. all for the second time today.
Alyssa Murrell Damn woman's cut. You know that was probably the reason Gerard fell down and killed, like, so many plants. The woman's cut fell down. {anyone get my references?}
+Maisie Gillett Gerard's pants used to fall down during concerts and he said something along the lines of, "Its the woman's cut. They always fall down"
OMG BE4 THE VID THERE WAS AN AD AND IT WAS FOR BLEACH AND THIS GIRL LOCKED HERSELF IN THE BATHROOM AND SAID "Im so emo... IM DYING MY HAIR MOM" "ITS JUST PURPLE" AND OMG IT WAS ON AN MCR VID

This song is so underrated... it's the perfect mix of three cheers and danger days and reminds me of their older songs which I fuckin love. I didn't start listening to this song until just recently and I've been really missing out, it's fuckin great 🔥
I need MCR back.. I mean.. I NEED IT.. Because.. 1- They are just perfect in every way possible. 2- This world .. needs real stuff.. too much garbage called "music" today. 3- I need My daughter.. that hasnt been born yet.. to know who they "are".. and not just who they "were". 4- MCR didnt come to Paraguay on Tour.. and they have to.. before I leave this mortal life. 5- A decade of creation is just not enough for MCR. point.
reminds me a lot of revenge tbh. conventional weapons is what was originally intended to be mcr4 right? (the one they scrapped before making danger days). because the revenge-y music is personally a lot better than danger days stuff. would have been happy if they actually came out with this stuff
No, the album that they scrapped in between TBP and DD was called "Conventional Weapons", and this is one of the tracks from CW. "MCR5" was the working title for what was going to be their fifth studio album. After the band split, and Gerard started his solo career, he revealed in an interview that the official title for the fifth album "MCR5" was going to be called "The Paper Kingdom". TPK was going to be another concept album, similar to TBP. Gerard said that it was going to be "really dark" and the concept of the album was supposed to be a story about a support group for parents who had lost their children (through murder, I think). In order to cope with the loss of their children, these parents believed that these witches were responsible for taking their children, and they would go into the woods and have fights with these witches. It sounded like a phenomenal concept tbh, and while I'm glad Gerard, Mikey, Frank, and Ray have all moved on..I really wish we could have heard this album.
Thank you My Chemical Romance. You kept me going in the bad times as you did with many people. I'll still always have I Don't Love You when I'm sad, Famous Last Words when I'm feeling bold and optimistic, and Vampire Money or Give Em Hell Kid when I just want to listen to a badass song. MCR might have not saved my life but they saved me a lot of tears and always gave me the message I needed.
I can't begin to describe how horrible I've felt since their break up, but I'm also incredibly grateful for the music they've given us these past 12 years. If it weren't for not just their music, but them as a band, I wouldn't be here right now, saying this. It's just like Gerard said, "Beyond any sadness, what I feel most is pride". So, thank you MCR for being who you are as a band and as individuals, and for the beautiful music you have created and given us.
I can't really explain how much I love this band, I discovered them when I was 8 and I loved them more and more over the years. It sucks that I never got to go to one of their concerts but at least we will have the music they left behind for us forever. when I listen to this band I can block off all of the bad things in my life and just focus and sing along to the music, I'll never forget this band. "Your memory will carry on"
Literally fucking crying because MCR came out when I was in high school but I for some reason was listening to SOAD & Queen & Bowie & stuff & never heard them until this year & I LOVE THEM. This is exactly the kind of music I like, I wish I'd been paying attention. So grateful for them now.
2017 anyone. I like to pretend this is MCR Five. Also, because I am really mean, I pranked my friend saying that they were getting back together and this was their new album. She believed me, and cried when I said I was lying. i know, I'm evil, but it had to be done.
