yo it's willow bebe I flipped my shit when I saw the word aru at the end of your comment. I flipped all of it! Well time to go clean it up by watching some of that.
Currently helping my teacher find this year's graduation song. Some of the teachers at my school think that Sing has nothing to do with graduation, or that it sends out a "bad message". The teacher for my home room and I disagree. She had never heard My Chem before, and when I played this for her, she thought this song was perfect. Some of the other teachers think that this song is too "angry", or "emo". Really? I really don't think Danger Days was that "emo" of an album, and that the songs had some really positive messages. "Sing" tells you to stand up for what you believe in, no matter what. My Chem isn't "dangerous". More people should see them for how they really are.
BroadwayBaby24601 I'm doing the same with my senior graduation song. Really leaning towards this song. It is definitely not angry or emo. This song really went against what MCR used to perform, and honestly I do not like this album what so ever. They should of stayed away from punk goes pop. But this song would really be a good graduation song. And I really want a My Chemical Romance song to be played at my graduation lol.
sing it for the boys sing it for the girls sing it for thE FUCKING BAND THAT RIPPED YOUR GOD DAMN HEART OUT sing it for the world sing it for the world
It is. I think their best songs have some kind of anthem in them. The first one I heard was The Black Parade which has a sort of up with the outcast anthem.
I was in las vegas walking down the street to my hotel when I heard the music leading up to "keep runnin". I stopped, made my parents stop, and burst out singing it. I was so proud of vegas.
so apparently when I was in fourth grade, my teacher made us sing this song and i never remembered it. I was talking to my friend about mcr and she said, do u remember, our music teacher made us sing Sing by that band. I panicked! at school.. xD
I can't be the only one who sings, "CLEANED UP CORPORATION PROGRESS, DYING IN THE PROCESS. CHILDREN THAT CAN TALK ABOUT IT! LIVING ON THE RAILWAYS, PEOPLE MOVING SIDEWAYS, SELL IT TILL YOUR LAST DAYS, BUY YOURSELF THE MOTIVATION. GENERATION NOTHING. NOTHING BUT A DEATH SCENE, PRODUCT OF A WHITE DREAM! I AM NOT THE SINGER THAT YOU WANTED BUT DANCER! I REFUSE TO ANSWER, TALK ABOUT THE PAST, SIR! WROTE IT FOR THE ONES WHO WANT TO GET AWAY!! KEEP RUNNING!!" Really REALLY loud...
I told my chorus teacher that we should sing this for chorus next year. She said, "I love that band! I haven't heard anything from them since their last album though." I don't think that she knows that they broke up, and I don't want to be the one to tell her >.
This is the first time I've listened to MCR since 2007. Right when the song started, I started to cry. It reminds me of when I was younger and how great everything used to be. I miss MCR and their wonderful music.
Why people say MCR is for emos? I find very possitive messages in lots of their songs and they always sing about going ahead and carrying on even if you think you can't. So, why?
Emo is misunderstood. Its doesnt technically mean just cutting yourself and complaining about everything, i mean i could but it doesnt. Its a shortened way of saying emotional so when you listen to welcome to the black parade(one of my favorites song in the world) you're gonna tell me you dont get hit right in the feels. Im not one to cry at all from how emotionally scared i have become but that song just almost makes me tear up. Anyway MCR is labeled as an emo band meaning their songs actually have meaning that can get your feelings going again. Im not trying to say anything bad about the band (because i love this band) and im not trying to be mean, im just trying to educate people. If anyone thinks what i said is wrong please correct me.
My step mom asked me what kind of music I like, and I said punk, and she said " Ugh, such angry music. I can't wait until you are out of this phase, and stop wearing only black." I immediately played Welcome To The Black Parade. "Does this sound angry to you?'' Geez, people really don't understand that punk bands play POSITIVE MUSIC once in a while.
Ɣσυȵǥ Ɓℓσσđ Lol that's me with every song. Nice username, btw. U an FOB fan? (Sorry my phone screen is small and I can't tell if you're profile pic is Patrick Stump or someone else)
Geeky Rattie Yeah, I get some weird looks whenever I listen to this song and start flailing violently and silently singing into an invisible microphone xD
me: mom can i see mcr in concert mom: when are they in town? me: -3 years mom: what me: **starts sobbing** mom: what the actual frack me: **in ball on floor** mom: i have failed as a parent.
people say that this song is only about people killing themselves. No, The music that i listen to is the reason so many damn people haven't killed themselves. Know me and what is going through my life before you judge what i do. thx
I love how there's like a back-story from "Na Na Na". Like remember in "Na Na Na" he said "Keep running." Well It gives me the chills when Gerard says it to that guy at 3:07.
in my math class, i just suddenly miss MCR so bad and start crying, my friend asked me why did i cried. me: they're gone... *crying*. my friend: but who...? me: My Chemical Romance. *cry louder* *the whole class start to laugh at me so hard* then my math teacher came to my sit, gave me a tissue and said: don't cry, i miss them too!
I hate how people look at me and go oh she's not emo she needs to stop trying to act like one like just because I don't look a certain way doesn't mean I can't freaking like a band MCR is part of my life and it will be for as long as I choose I mean I wore my black parade shirt to school one day and a person was like she needs to stop trying to be emo like first of all emo is short for emotional look it up honey and second of all it's not like I'm dressing to impress you this is a band I like and I'm not going to change because somebody doesn't like it so just back off please..
Oh my god. I came here from danisnotonfire And amazingphil because they talk a bout my chemical romance. I think I have found what appears to be the best band ever!
Omg wait! I luv danisnotonfire and amazingphil too but when did they talk about mcr?! I'd love to watch this video, because I'm a huge fan of mcr AND them
Alma Paschke they have both talked about them constantly actually, they are one of their favorite bands just below Muse. Phil said once (if im not mistaken) that Famous last words was his favorite MCR song.
My friends and I were singing along to them at Botany once and this girl said, "You're like the emo glee club" and I think she meant it as an insult so I shouted "THE GLEEMOS!" So now we're the Gleemos and everyone would stare at us and one kid said the lyrics we sang made it seem like we were depressed but we were too busy debating the best MCR songs to care
Yea she was trying to get us to stop so I put a positive spin on it. My friend wrote "bitch, we're the Gleemos" on a picnic table at the end of the year
Sing it for the dead. Little late but Happy Mother's Day. Can't say I miss her, I just wish I had a mother like everyone else's. I still have the scars, and my family thinks I hit her. To all of you out there who think your mother is mean because you can't buy that new video game, or album, be glad she never hit you, or tried to kill you. A mother is a mother, but to say she is your mom or your mommy, that takes a bond. My mother was never a mom, she couldn't love me. She hated me with everything she had, I never got to say "I love you." So if you are reading this, call your mom, tell her you love her. Do it for me, because I never had the chance to know what motherly love is.
Korbrent Yeah same here. I can't count how many times I've broken a nose or a finger cause people talk shit about me or a friend. But I think I've gotten suspended at least 3-4 times cause I have no control when I'm angry
Lucky I've been a Killjoy from the start I had to deal with a lot of heart brake of that day March 22nd 2013 the day the disappeared from us😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢☹️
LISTEN UP, KILLJOYS ON 25 OF DECEMBER WE GIVE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE A CHRISTMAS PRESENT: THE HIGHEST VEIWED VIDEO OF RU-vid! WATCH THE NA NA NA MUSIC VIDEO AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE, OR AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN! SING IT FOR THE WORLD BE WHAT TOMORROW NEEDS WE GOT THIS!!
They did this song because sue wanted to do an anthem that was a show tune and I now relize what a nerd I am that I remember the plot to the episode lol
Watched that episode recently (I'm sort of on a Glee binge because Netflix) and damn near lost my shit. Like, actually got emotional because MCR was my adolescence and Glee was my early adulthood.
To be honest I want to smack anybody who thinks that because they listen to this song (which I enjoy a lot by the way) they're better than anybody who doesn't. If somebody listens to pop music leave them alone, I don't care that you know all the songs of a certain genre you have no right to make fun of people who don't. I actually cringed reading some of the comments "I am not like other girls who like pop like 1d, ugh those people suck like can't you listen to actual music. I wear black a lot and I don't wear make up I am so different from everyone else"
+Christina Melikian There is also varieties, for example, I listen to both pop and rock. One Direction is my favorite band but MCR is a follow up, and I get what your saying. It really annoys me when people act like their cooler than the rest bc they listen to music like this, it's just music, doesn't make you any cooler, or any 'less cool'.
Completely agree with your comment :) people have all sorts of music tastes, lets not focus on the differences but the similarities in each other coz that's when we stop fighting
+Christina Melikian I agree completely. I love MCR and bands like it but I honestly don't care if people don't. It's their life and they can listen to whatever they want.
+Christina Melikian Also, to everyone saying, that they dont listen to the pop music. Do you know, that a lot of songs from Danger Days are actually pop-andanothergenrelikerockorwhatever. Pop music is not a bad music.
I OFFICIALLY LOVE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE NOW! "Sing it to the ones that'll hate your guts!" I love this whole idea- stand out, stand up, speak up, because most "normal" people don't have the guts to do it. "Sing it for the world..."
I was in secondary school and no one. NO ONE out of thousand students know what MCR is, they all talk about pop music and I was left alone everyday! :'( So lonely....
I don't think anyone understands how important this song is. It shows that you shouldn't be afraid to speak up. That you are important. I wish stuff like this was on the radio. This is actually inspirational
Dear Gerard, Mikey, Frankie, Ray, and even Bob, Thank you for having an idea. My life and many others’ would be very different without you. We miss you, but we’ll carry on with your music in our hearts 🖤
these songs are helping me cope. my childhood friend died in a car accident. He was also a great guitar player and played many gigs... life isn't fair.. thank you for being here MCR
I remember this song from a long time ago. My brother showed it to me a few years ago and I still like it. MCR either stays with you the first time you hear it, or die...
I am fucking crying because i know i will never see MCR live on stage. No shit, i am really crying right know. Seriously, if they would made a reunion tour i would cry a damn river of happy-tears for weeks.
+Little Cupcake Picture this. Gerard is doing a concert on his own. It ends and you think its over, but the lights go pitch black. You think you see movement onstage, but you can't tell because its so dark. And just when the crowd starts to get panicked and restless, a G note is played on the piano. Massive jets of flame shoot up from the side of the stage, illuminated a My Chemical Romance sign being lowered at the back of the stage. The lights come on , and the band plays "Welcome To The Black Parade" One last time
lolHyperKitty Welcome to the club! lol I highly suggest listening some songs such as The Sharpest Lives , You Know What They Do To Guys Like us in Prison, The Ghost Of You, and maybe even The Light Behind Your Eyes I personally find these ones amazing I know everyone has different taste in songs but I thought I would just share tbh if I could I would go on and on and on with that list 😂😂
(me in this in my own dream) me; -is with the lady- Gerard and others; -saveing my ass in this stupid place- -they get killed- me; -wakes up and is sobing mom; OMFG STOP LISTEING MCR!!
No in my school they let kids blast inappropriate song in the hallways but I can’t listen to my chem on my headphones during passing time child it’s 3 minutes that’s it just let me be I’ll take them off in class
I love these guys. I'm a thirteen year old girl who generally loves punk rock and hardcore music and I hate when people think that just because I'm 13 and female that I only know this song and 2 nirvana songs.I listened to Iron Maiden, Green Day, MCR, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, etc. on my own when I was 5. My sisters and I have loved these bands forever and just because I like things like 5sos and Sleeping with Sirens doesn't mean I can't enjoy genuine, good, wholesome music, so take your judgement and shove it up your ass.
Im the same although im older than you, but in my opinion sws are amazing because they have their screaming somgs and their slow songs and their normal songs amd all of them have meaning
One time, I was hearing this song while I was running in a martial arts class (Taekwondo) and since my condition is the worst in the hole classroom, I inmeaditly started panting and begging to anything to give me a break, and then, I hear the "keep running" Guess who almost died for not breathing, but still continued
you know what I love about this song? The fact that it is actually empowering for females. Normally, the media makes it seem like we can't take the harsh world... this song especially allows us the harsh words that rellect the cruelty of the world... e.g. "kill"... because they know we are strong. I love you guys!
people call me weird just because I don't listen to the same generic plastic shit that they listen to, they call me weird because I listen to Nirvana, Atilla, Disturbed, Famous Last Words, Marilyn Manson Mcr, A7X and Hollywood Undead, so they laugh at me because im different, but I laugh at them because they're all the same. (if you see or get the quote, youre awesome)
So my sister is in 4th grade, and her music teacher was a big fan of MCR. That teacher was told to teach my sisters elementary school a song about standing up for yourself and not to be afraid to stand out. They chose this song. I am proud...
so I was doing a poetry/ song lyric reading and I was gonna do welcome to the black parade but some girl went up and read a beiber song that was literally just every word repeated 3 times and then throw in the word girl ever few sentences, then she talks about how its such an amazing love song that makes her a huge fan and I'm sitting there like "I'm about to take this bitch to church"
I’m sitting here listening to this and gets me at an very emotional level and I see the stupidity in the comments like anyone else feel this song in a intense level of just inspiration and wow
This song reminds me of going to the roller skating rink back in 2010. They'd play this song all the time and I loved it. Just hearing it again after all those years really makes me miss those days.
