@@TheGerbsteve Rasp was my #1 concern, #2 was how loud it would be. I spent countless hours looking at RU-vid videos and trying to get an idea of sound (virtually impossible to do since audio varies as well as cameras compensate for different noise variations etc) it at least gave me a starting point. I was super particular about all this because I have a supercharger that's going on and SCs tend to make the exhaust louder. I even considered selling my SC and going to another turbo build so that I could run a 3" exhaust and not hate the sound of my own car. Fortunately I found Thermal and they just so happen to make a 3" for our chassis. I'm very happy with it and I wouldn't change it even if any of the others in 3" were given to me. Drone isn't an issue at all, and if you do find someone that has a Thermal make sure it is the 3" for our chassis, as I stated above my girls car has a 2.5" Thermal and hers is louder than mine, although I am mildly jealous hers pops every now and then due to Thermal's design of that system.

@@TheGerbsteve I drove a 2002 S2000 with an upgraded exhaust system for two years 20,000 miles. just to hear that thing scream up to 9200 RPMs is probably one of the best feelings I've ever had behind the wheel (especially with the top down going under a bridge). I got rid of it simply because it was very impractical and just got sick of being cramped in such a tight cockpit. I sold it with 80,000 miles on it. I must admit, I really really miss it. But my 2018 type R fills the void pretty well. 😎

That's the only downside of an S2k, they're small and cramped. I don't blame you, i would've missed that redline everyday haha. I drove a 2018 type R, they're absolutely AMAZING ;)

I had a skunk2 megapower R and miss the hell out of it. Only reason why i sold it is because the muffler was hit and it was pretty loud

@@TheGerbsteve idk about Civic, but for my RSX-s it perfect for daily and not attract attention. No drone, burning bumper, no fitment issue beside hanger hitting frame but that easy fix. Not the exhaust u want if u want loud, but if u want a quiet but not stock sound, no drone, no attention, look similar but better than stock, high quality. Q300 is the way to go

I have the q300 and it is an amazing exhaust system. Highly recommend!

The delete is so easy and made a huge difference . I honestly thought my 2nd gear synchro was gone but after i took that delay valve out of slave cylinder it shifts so much better

Skunk 2 cai rdx inj and rbc mani, because all the forums and edynos I saw had people hitting those #s with that setup and a few showing 230 but I doubt it. Car feels almost as quick as my old 2010 ms3 with fbo

And btw.. I guess I've been fortunate! Seriously.. I got Hondata AFTER header, exhaust. And in the calibration i made sure it had stock intake. Second calibration was when i added CAI. And it ran smooth as butter. And Hondata offers both stage 1 and stage 2 CT supercharger masemaps. Which lowers VTEC to 3200. I will check in with comment or vid to see how smooth/rough it runs.

Gerb Productions yeah mine rattles too but apparently it’s been doing it for a long time. Bought my 06 Si from the original owner with 274k miles and still has original chains, tensioners, guides and vtc actuator and still runs great. He ran Mobil 1 in it since day one

I’m approaching 200k soon ish. I’m thinking about doing a rebuild soon, if I have money, time, and a spot to do it.

Thanks guy. I’ve heard positive things on ktuner, how is it? They are hit or miss. I think out of the 30 that I had on my FP, one was good out of six that I tried. They are from different cars that are tuned at different elevations, mods set ups, etc. even though they state, sri, exhaust, header, or w.e, you are guessing if it will run good with your set up. There are so many variables, intake size, exhaust diameter, etc. The damage comes from knock, which is caused by different things such as spark, ignition, fuel, air.. Damage also comes from the certain Air fuel you are running. Too lean = heat 🔥, too rich = buildup. The air fuel ratios tend to be all over the place as well with basemaps, but who knows, everyone has different experiences

The 10th Gen Si platform is completely different. You could probably get away with running the basemaps for a while without any issues. A custom tune is always best though, as it improves driveability, extracts all the power possible safely, and tailors everything to your environment, your conditions, and your fuel. I highly recommend the TSP Stage 1 tune from Derek Robinson, if you don't have it already.

Due to different location of manifold, intake, etc, I don’t believe the parts are interchangeable between the two. Only thing you might be able to fabricate is the exhaust.

@@TheGerbsteve swap was easy I already owned the crv it got destroyed in a huracain so pulled the motor and did swap still have my k20 block Nothin wrong with it was just interested in swap heard a lot about it and wanted to do it and was worth it just wanna do a turbo next but that's a long time in the future but will get there eventually.
