So many Winter Classic jerseys. Crazy that we've played in it so often. The Ray Bourque jersey is my personal favorite in this selection as it was the Jersey when I was a kid, growing up and watching games at the Garden with my dad.
Man that older Providence jersey is nostalgic for me. I used to go to a few games when visiting family in the area as a kid. Also, nice Adam Cole shirt!
What I find to be an interesting anecdote is that in the early sixties when the Bruins wore a home Orange jersey the visiting teans would wear their "home" dark jerseys. Some times visiting broadcasters would say tongue in cheek that their team was the "home" side! I think because tv wise etc. it was still the pre colour era. The viewer wouldn't be able to discern the orange home team (sans colour "white") jersey from the visitors potential naturally white jerseys. Therefore the visitors donned their dark "home" jerseys.
Adam Oates ! I still remember seeing him score what I THOUGHT was the fastest goal ever scored off a face off . That collection is friggin amazing bud .
I'm thinking for the centennial they'll drop the color from the shoulders on the home and away to get that 80s-95 look, thats what the new logo tells me anyway. Bruins PR team has a few "era theme" nights on the schedule this year so who knows maybe we'll get 5 new jerseys this year and i'll be broke lol. if the bruins are going to be below 40 wins might as well look nice.
Would love to see them change the alternate to a brown and gold jersey similar to the 2010 WC. Even bringing back the 2020 RR with the centennial logo would be a welcome change.
I know 1 thing thats a positive about buying a current jersey from a reputable seller is you wont end up purchasing a fake. Id say buy what jersey you prefer the most.
I’m a big B’s fan and my collection is very similar! I have several of Bergeron’s ( current black home with C, 2016 WC, gold 80’s RR, 2011 Reebok with A and Final patch, a Team canada 2014 red) I have a Marchand current 3rd with an A, I have a Chara 2011 white with Final patch and 2010 Winter classic, I have a black Lucic 2011 with Final patch, I have several Bourque-black 80’s ( their best imo), a signed 75th anniversary with no name/number, I have same with name/number). I have a home and away 80’s Cam Neely ( the white is a knock off as I couldn’t find one anywhere). I hav e a gold 60’s one that I’m gonna put a #9 on. I also have an 80’s white home with my name on it and #16 ( as Rick Middleton was my fav player as a kid). I hate the Pooh Bear and not much of a fan of the shoulder patch 3rd ( logo is too big). I agree with you about the 2023 WC and the wordmark! I was so stoked for a “meth bear” sweater and the wordmark ruined it for me! I am absolutely pumped to see what they are gonna reveal for the centennial season this week-especially knowing they will have a gold spoked B on the black sweater like the Bourque/Neely years!
