Absolutely love this video! I haven't come out to my family yet because they are very religious and don't believe bisexuality exist. It scares me to because my cousin came out that he was gay and my mom practically shunned him and talks bad about him and his husband. I know that when the time comes for me to come out that I will be confident enough to. This video really helped. :)

Didn't come out to myself until age 80 (because I was raised in a Texas Baptist family, and had been brain-washed); when I came out to others was wonderfully accepted by my children, my family, my church, my clients. When you teared up and wiped your eyes, you said, "Sorry."--but I very much appreciated it, because it expressed eloquently the appreciation you feel toward your wonderful brother. Family is important, and I am happy that they unconditionally love you. For love is the inner drive of our physical expression. Yes acting theory also applies to psychological theory. If you are happy and you know it, you will clap your hands. The love and support you receive from your physical family can make things less of a burden.

I remember the first video, but didn't realize the hurdle you had to get over with your dad. It's so great to see you succeeding, & the changes you've gone through in such a short time! With your attitude, can you imagine how many great things are in your future ? You were right when you said we shouldn't be defined by our sexuality, & one day I think that concept will be universal. I am so grateful there there are people like you in this world, people who make me feel proud of being who i am. So far i have accepted being bisexual but i am still very nervous and afraid to tell my family and my friends, no ones about me being bi and i don't know any one that i can talk to about this. It is really hard going through this by myself and it makes me feel all alone, i would really appreciate it if you could help me and and i thank you for this video.

All Gay men must have their Gay men friends group and all the LGBT people must do the same. It is important to be with people like us, to be around other Gay men and create Gay friendships inside our Gay community between us; in the same way that straight men and women have their women or men friends group. That's great! Sounds like there's a lot of communication between you and your family. I wish that was true for my parents as well. Also thanks for acknowledging the whole bisexual situation. A lot of my friends (gay ones included) just think I'm too scared to fully come out and that I'm just pretending to be into girls. Why can't people just get over their pre-conceived notions and just accept us all as people?

I pretty much had the scenario you had with your dad tonight, but it all works out well in the end. Lots of people don't realise that, but it really does :)

Courtney, Thank you for that wonderful video! I live here in West Hollywood and am very aware of the Trevor project (their offices are just a few blocks down the street from me, actually, on Santa Monica Blvd). You are a very brave and wonderful person -- and also very real and very attractive in your own right. I had a very hard time in my youth growing up in Michigan in the 60's and 70's and was heavily "in the closet" until I was about 27 (I'm 63, BTW, and come from a family of 7 boys and 2 girls) and finally traveled west at the age of 25 and landed here in Los Angeles in 1978. Also, attending an all-boy's college prep high school (Brother Rice High School in Birmingham, Michigan) didn't help matters much. I knew that I just had to get away from Michigan ASAP or else I would have killed myself (at least in those days). And, also, Michigan isn't very liberal to this day, except for little "pockets" -- like Saugatuck/Douglas and Traverse City, other than the big college towns like East Lansing (Michigan State) and Ann Arbor (University of Michigan). College towns are mostly more liberal and more gay-friendly than other places. Anyway, much has been done for LGBT rights in the years since, and I live in the middle of WEHO (West Hollywood, California) and have seen things come and go for years. You are the bright future and hope for young people around the world despite the ongoing homophobic attitudes others have -- even here in WEHO, of all places. I respect your efforts and also realize that young people all over the world need understanding and support for their sexuality and a helping hand. It's because of your video that I just happened to stumble upon just now that I might just go to the TREVOR offices just down the street and volunteer my time and wisdom, if it helps and if I'm qualified to help in the first place (I'm a bit shy about my qualities, so-to-speak). There's also the Los Angeles LGBT offices down the street as well, among other reach-out programs in this vast metropolis. I've been retired for 6 years now, and have been floundering about what I should do with my remaining years on this earth. I guess the least I could do is offer my services to help young people understand and get on with their lives and live a healthy and fruitful life and be confident with themselves and their sexuality, even it the wisdom is coming from a 63-year-old. After all, a person in their 18-20-somethings aren't about to listen to an old man like me! Anyway, it's the least I can do, so maybe I can make a difference? There's so many young people out there that are suffering -- it just breaks my heart. And, at this time on a Saturday evening (now Sunday morning) in WEHO -- 12:26am on a Memorial Holiday Weekend, all hell is breaking loose out there, I'm sure, but I'm safe at home, and ready to call it a night. Hopefully, I can make a difference, thanks to your video. Be well, RJC.

But some times you will need someone to confide in, and to hold things in confidentiality. Man is not made to be alone. We need more than just drinking buddies. (I rarely drink). But the world does not just give you or tell you there are people like this. You must find them. Now use the force and sally forth looking for that advisor--not of academics and not a sexual partner, but just a talking soul mate. Although, hopefully your partner will be able to confide in each other. Lots of girls have their advsors. It's rare a man will have one. Good luck on your journey!

When you meet that one guy that shares the same experiences as you .. when you were always searching for yourself and who you are he was too .. only thing is now we don't talk :( but hopefully when i graduate i can meet him he's only 8 hours away first night we talked we were in love now things are different but I'm still the same i don't get how or why he changed all i know is i can't continue to hold this pain he won't reply to messages it drives me insane and no I'm not suicidal it's just i found someone who completes me that's very vital - @cordination on twitter
