They didn't have the rights to tiny Tim's song played in "Help Wanted", so by the time of season three they resolved it and put it on there. I'm just glad we have it.

Today I found the re release of The First 100 Episodes of SpongeBob at Target but it is NOT in boxed set form. It's actually one of those big clear cases like they did with Beavis and Butt-head The Complete Collection and South Park Seasons 1-5, 6-10, and 11,15. But I can clearly see the inside of it that it has the same disc art from the original release.

I wonder when the 9th season is going to come out. I know there are still 2 episodes of the season that they haven't aired yet, but I would like to see it on DVD by spring 2017!

They didn't release the first episode on the Season One set because of the song "Livin' In The Sunlight, Lovin' In The Moonlight". Nick didn't want to pay Tiny Tim's estate for the DVD rights so they left it out of the set. Also you could do a Limited Edition collection showing off limited edition DVD's and Blu Ray's.

the first 4 seasons of spongebob are like seasons 7-9 and season 1 maybe borderline season 2 level for the simpsons of writing..now sadly nothing touches seasons 3-6 but then again thats a high bar to set for a comedy series written by harvard eggheads....

I have the original releases of Seasons 1-5 on DVD. I've thought about getting the 100 episodes one, but from what I hear it's basically the same thing. If they ever did a Blu-Ray though, I'd consider it.

I don't know how come when a box set gets released the discs have the corresponding artwork and when they re-release them, the artwork is removed from the discs. That's just frustrating.

Stephen Hillenburg came back at the end of season 9 btw and he is back in full force for season 10 which just started last month and he'll be back for season 11 as well. Rumors went around saying it was cancelled which was completely bullcrap lol

I like the season sets better than the first 100 episodes set. The seasons to me are better because on season one, you have all the episodes from that season and not have it put together with some other episodes from season two. The 100 episodes set is still cool but I like season sets better
