It’s like van life is Edward and House life is Jacob and I haven’t seen Twilight but I’m pretty sure that’s an important way to look at it.

I had the same van. Built it lived in it for a year and a half. loved it. Sold it 6 months ago, and moved to Okinawa japan. Stoked everyday.

Just recently got an apartment after truck life for around two-ish years and totally went thru all those stages and I 100% agree with you. The comforts of a homebase are amazing especially knowing that your mobile home is right outside! Been loving the journey so far!

I've really been thinking about van life for a while as covid's settling down, and I realized I'm completely tied down in the same way as I was in high school, and really feeling stuck in life... while I know van life isn't going to solve all that its really been tempting me recently. So seeing your video title made me a bit scared that you'd turn me off of that idea. It didn't. If anything it's making me consider it more. I don't know yet if I'd be ready or even able to get into van life, but I sure as hell love watching your vids of it. Honestly all of your vids though, so keep it up, no matter what you're doing!

It's always a treat to see one of your videos. It's hard to express, but I guess the best way to put it is your vlogs are good for my soul.

I left Vanlife for health reasons. I moved into a caravan after and left that half a year later. I lived in my car for years before and I often car camp now. I wouldn't live permanently in a van again. The weekend warrior status is what I prefer. I enjoy concrete walls and a base, a place to get my mail too. And I have a comfy home in the English winters.

Love this video man, really great to see your real thoughts about van life. Would be great to see your home base more. This really shows how love does change year to year.

Yeah, Lockdown had me thinking differently about life AND van life. Working from home had me spending as much as 24 hours a day in a van on an industrial estate. I did house life for a while and then moved back in the van full-time these last 2 months. Great to see you back on the road. ❤️

Thanks for this. I'm grappling with taking a 3 month break from vanlife. It felt wrong at first - but I'm realizing more and more that my well-being is the most important and that I can go back or be a seasonal nomad.

You have proven that as humans, we need change. Change is constant. Change is good. Change is progress. Within myself I see others on a path where they tend to look happy and enjoy every second of what they are doing when truly it isn't the case. We all have some sort of struggles. Some big and some small, but as long as we evolve with change, our lives should flow with more positivity than not. It's a beautiful thing to have balance in this world. The times we struggle show we aren't happy with where we are at and can give us an extra boost to be motivated and disciplined. Thank you for sharing your story Jake.
