I dont think a spoler tag is necesarry but this is the spoiler tab. I hope Mashiba wins but I think the breakthrough he's going to experience from this match is breaking away from his mentality that his worth as a person/brother is somehow tied to how strong he is physically or emotionally. He fouled Miyata out of a fear of showing his sister that he wasn't the strongest man in the world and continued to fight dirty to win for Kumi. Up until the Sawamura fight, you could maybe argue that Mashiba felt he had to fight dirty in order to win but the Sawamura fight was (fucking awesome) just an outright street brawl with no regards to rules. Although I think he had every right to fuck him up for what he did, Mashiba was ashamed of it and has now turned over a new leaf but until his fight with Garcia it seemed less like an honor thing and more like a "I dont wanna bring shame to my sister and ruin my career" thing. In his fight with Garcia, Mashiba was in do or die mode and even though he had opportunities he still couldn't bring himself to foul Garcia which makes me believe that he's had a change in his perspective on cheating out of desperation and doesn't want to let down all the people who support him. I think in this fight we'll see Mashiba take a fat L from fouls but be okay with it because he doesnt need to be the world champion and that to Kumi he's already the worlds best brother or some sappy bullshit like that you know how Morikawa loves his dumb ass Rocky tropes. Or maybe all that but he still wins because of guts and fighting spirit idk I'm hyped
Mashiba recently said Miyata has been walking around like a zombie, and Miyata did say he would help Sendo train for Ricardo it wouldn't give him any reason to fight Ricardo. But as I said, anything can happen
