Canada has not given up a first half goal in its recent games against the Netherlands, France, Argentina, Peru and Chile. If they can extend this to the semi-final game against Argentina, anything can happen. They just have to do better in front of the Argentina goal. Both the Argentine and Canadian goalkeepers are great at stopping penalties so anything can happen if the game is tied after 90 minutes. Canada also has speed. Apart from the speed of Davies, they have the two fastest players in the MLS in Bombito and Shaffelburg. Oluwaseyi has also been lightning fast when he has come off the bench.

As a Canadian I agree with everything you said about Canada. I'm just proud of what they've been able to accomplish thus far with Marsch and anything beyond that would be a dream. I will say this too; being able to play in this level of competition will give this team a tremendous amount of experience. They're getting an opportunity to play the reigning world champs not once, but twice in one month. Not to mention countries like Chile, Peru and a very formidable Venezuela. That is invaluable.

There are 3 world events where I knew exactly where they were when they happened... 1. I remember exactly where I was when the OJ verdict was announced. 2. I think this Cup has shown more of the bad teams than the good ones. Colombia has been the best playful watchable game, Uruguay as wild as they are and Argentina praying that Messi be inspired. BRASIL is really going down and the rest showed that they are from regular to bad. The disparity is huge. For each group apart from the Colombina group there was 1 powerful team and the other 3 from mid to low, only Colombia and Brasil were 2 "powerful" teams in the same group. At the end, this tournament does not show anything, not good goals, maybe 3, not new probably super excellent new players, nothing. THIS HAS BEEN A COLLECTION of the worst soccer games ever.

Colombia always have a hard time beating Uruguay. They both played in a 2-2 tie in Barranquilla and in the last Copa America Colombia won in PKS. Uruguay is a team that can handle pressure or when things don't go their way like the red card against Brazil. Btw, Uruguay should've scored 5 against Panama in the first half and against the US, Uruguay were already qualified in 1st place. I believe Uruguay will win 2-0.

I can tell you didn't even watch the 2-2 game. Watch the entire game and you will see how horrible Uruguay looked. A slip up in the 90th minute ruined all the momentum Colombia had that game. Nandez and Araujo gone next game, this team is cooked defensively. This Uruguayan team struggled with USA and Panama... you're gonna sit here and tell your self they score two on 27th unbeaten streak Colombia and win?

Your salty American side is showing. Canada has not been playing terrorist ball. That's Southgate and Deschamps. We've been direct in attacking every game, just have abysmal finishing. In fact most of the chances we've conceded have been due to the high line that Marsh employs. Just look at the Rondon equalizer in the QFs. No terrorist side has a sweeper keeper outside his own box when leading 1-0 66 minutes in.

Overhyped??? Why? It scored the 9 points of its group Knocked out a direct rival to win the cup. In a classic. That never pretty. It won and knocked out the champion and best team of Concafaf. And won easily against the other two teams. Colombia didn't even get the 9 points. Won against the weakest teams of both organizations. And suffered against Paraguay. A country that in more than a decade doesn't qualify to a worlds cup. Colombia won one trophy in 100 years of FIFA....

They definitely had their chances but if you're playing hypotheticals and giving a team credit for scoring all their chances, it's kinda fair if you do it for the other team as well. But stranger things have happened. I've seen teams with over 25 shots lose to teams with 0 shots due to an own goal.
