I still like the MLS but I have seriously questioned some of their moves as of late like withdrawing from the U.S. Open Cup though they did allow 8 teams to play in it. Last September, I was in Vegas and had an opportunity to attend a Las Vegas Lights match and I really liked how the fans really got into their team. Even though the result was less than satisfying (they lost to Orange County 1-5!), people still supported them. I live in Spokane and now I support our new USL team Velocity FC which have been doing pretty well. I think the USL is far better than the MLS because I like how community based and the grassroots feel these teams have. Compared to the corporate-minded single entity of the MLS which, let's be honest, is run by people who wouldn't really know anything about the soccer or couldn't care less about the sport! Also, it's more affordable to attend a USL game compared to the MLS. I would really love to see USL eclipse the MLS but the reality is it will be an uphill climb given the billions of dollars the MLS has.
Hello from Omaha. I will always support Union Omaha, they have won the USL 1 division once and had a chance in their inaugural season in 2020 but the championship match did not take place due to Covid. Omaha is building a new stadium in downtown Omaha by 2026...really hope that Pro-Reg will happen by then. # Viva Buhos!
Everything is peachy ,till you hear banjos in the background. Things to consider. Brazil is Brazil , it doesn’t matter how bad it is playing. World cup elimination 2002 ,I’m looking at you. Colombia is a helium balloon, they never won anything they never will . pure smoke. Mejico , perhaps the most , wouldn’t say heated , but loathed teams in the whole continent “the America continent” Venezuela, Bolivia would fight them like they were in the final. 2 predictions you can take to the bank. The winner will be between Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay. The major disappointment of the cup will be Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay if they don;t championship . The hIghest position for a Concacaf team will be the US, so that is your proverbial black horse ,if you will.
@@TacticalManager yes you eventually remembered it but I just can’t believe nobody remembered this game, Brazil and Argentina’s last competitive game and a historic game in itself being Brazil’s first ever home loss in the qualifiers.
Im a father of a u12 and u15 player and can tell you that is extremely expensive and the time requirements to participate requires more commitment than a marriage. Both of my kids get trained 3 times per week but because of my budget I am the one training both of my kids individually the other two days. I don’t do this for college, but to plant a structure and a winning mindset to my kids. Sometimes I wish I could separate myself from the coach role just to provide a different support to them but I guess we in US have to play with the tools we have available. Great channel. Good luck to you
Tactical that how it goes when it come to developing player, you have early and late bloomer and some that just never bloom, you make send a Million of dollar in a development program over a decade and you might just get only 2 player solid player out of the program and with 2 player u probably can recoup that back invest but it depend on where they go and when I said 2 player like Pulisic and Gio type, but like u said man its not easy can't u just don't know probably next year this time you some new set of young player pop up ..
Sometimes I can't wait to see the copa america, so I wish I could go into the future and see the outcomes. But if I did that, then the tournament won't be any fun. Instead, what if I could see the future, then make myself forget the outcomes. Then I think to myself, what if I already did that!? 😮.
MLS will never be considered one of the 4 major sports leagues. NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL are all the #1 league in the world in their respective sports. MLS will never be that.
My Top Ten 1) Argentina 2) Uruguay 3) Colombia: Surprise 1 (they could get to the final) 4) Brazil: Just watch the list of players they called. There are various playes that are not on the list. With that list Brazil is number 4. Otherwise they would be number 2 5) USA: Surprise 2: (they could get to the final) 6) Ecuador 7) Chile 8) Mexico 9) Venezuela 10) Paraguay Greeting from Buenos Aires!
Think tac needs a bit of a reality check regarding the quality of MLS affecting viewership. We’re not all soccer RU-vidrs with unlimited watch time. I don’t watch MLS for the same reason I don’t watch CFL, UFL, or arena football. I know there’s a higher level out there and that’s what I’m gonna watch.
I would say Bolivia is worse than Costa Rica, Brazil has a better team than us (I am Colombian and I’m talking about individual players cause as a team Colombia actually complements each other) and lastly Jamaica has a better team than Canada to me, though they are not too far from each other.

Detroit City FC Originally a startup team founded by local residents to promote soccer in Detroit started in the 4th tier NPSL in 2012. In 2016 DCFC moved to its current home Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck a small city within Detroit and moved to the 3rd tier NISA in 2019 and then in 2022 joined the USL Championship. So far since joining the USLC Le Rouge has made the playoffs both times and in 2023 beat the #1 overall seed Pittsburgh Riverhounds as the 8 seed and in the 2022 US Open Cup beat the Colombus Crew of the MLS and in 2024 beat the Houston Dynamo on the road also.
