The egg chair is not just a generic chair, the original design is by Arne Jacobsen a mid century designer from Denmark and the version you have there is a weird but kinda cool replica/knock off.

Perhaps the question in the "genuine vs knock off" debate should be why a chair made of fiberglass and upholstered foam should retail at more than $8000 dollars?

Good review and I agree that the originals are quite expensive for the average person. The quality of the original designer chairs are better than the replicas but hard to justify paying so much for a chair unless you’re a collector and quite wealthy. The replicas are a good balance of quality, uniqueness and affordability. One word of advice...It’s not so becoming of you to argue publicly with people who criticize the videos. Seems a bit amateurish. Maybe best to ignore the trolls, or at least just a simple reply rather than a deep thread of bickering.

It leans back like that because it’s a fake without the proper tension controls which are present in the genuine Jacobsen/Hansen chair. (Why’d I fall out of this chair and break my neck?! Oh, because you cheaped out.) 😩

Bearded Reviews it’s not one of your tire kickers... some of the chairs are collectible and appreciate (or at least hold value)- your phonies most certainly don’t. But, hey, I’m content with not breaking my neck when sitting in a crappy chair so that my friends and followers think I’m “cool” and have money.

@@Coretltd lol if you're referring to my camaro, then maybe know that it's already worth over double what I paid for it with appreciation. You think that your "authentic eames chair" is going to appreciate faster than inflation...if at all? Get real lol. Go look up used eames chairs, then go stand in front of your mirror and berate yourself for a few minutes before you hop back on here. And again, I understand about the whole "you trying youtube and couldn't hack it" thing, just maybe direct your frustration at your father or a punching bag, assuming your apparently brittle bones won't break.
