This is called debts to income ratio! If you pay off your debts the ratio is better and you have become a good risk because you pay your debts!

What fees and rates are you referring to? I have a manually underwritten mortgage with Churchill with a 2.5% interest rate. Couldn’t be more happier with how easy it was to get set up. Just need a lot of W2’s!

I got a 2.75% interest rate on a 30 yr mtg. I did pay $13k in closing cost out of pocket and $30k as a down payment. I’m not sure if that helped me get a lower interest. I’m also debt free and make $75k and my wife makes $60k.

I agree with a lot of what Ramsey says but they can’t realistically try and tell people to attempt to purchase homes, go to med/law school without taking out debt. All of those things shouldn’t be reserved for people with parents to pay or support them.

Ask if they’ll let you pay a larger deposit. And bring in other bills as proof that you pay your stuff on time.

So she blamed the debt reduction credit program for killing her credit score? If she wasn’t already in a credit score problem she wouldn’t have joined the program. The women these days never take any accountability for their own actions. That guy she’s with should run. She doesn’t only have a financial issue she has personal issues.
