If I remember correctly we have similar hair types. One way to get fuller hair with the beachy-waves-look is to try washing your hair in the evenings and let it naturally air dry. Then in the morning just style with your iron, it will smooth out the hair that you can visibly see but the natural wave remaining on the underside close to the scalp will keep your hair looking fuller longer, and it works really well with the beachy look and with baliage highlights.

I have been a E-salon coloring program client for several years and get many compliments on my hair color. I do, twice a year, get some brown highlights from my stylist. Being able to do my roots every 3-4 weeks on MY time is a blessing. Easy to do and everything is in the box!

I spray the touch up root cover on a brush (a medium size make up brush) first and then apply it to my roots. I find it works well and my hair doesn't feel awful

Hi Angie. Thanks for the update. I started regaine (aust) for women 5% about 2 years ago. It took a good 6 months to confirm it was working, and close to 9 months to convince me I was doing the right thing. Now at the 2 year mark I had more baby hairs grow in at the hairline. We can call this female pattern hair loss as women’s hair loss is different than men’s. my mother and sister are very sparse, so I have no issue knowing that I will continue this for the long term. No side effects and no weird hair growth in other places. 💋

Esalon made a smart choice with having the shampoo and conditioner have different colors. I can't tell you how many times I have been in the shower and accidently grabbed 2 shampoos instead of a shampoo and conditioner (unless we have treseme).

I noticed my hairline thinning significantly after I switched from Retin A 0.05% to 0.1%. Since I went back to 0.05% my hair is slowly growing back. It might all just be a coincidence and according to my Google research not a whole lot of people are experiencing this issue but some are... just wanted to share that

Hey Angie, Color Wow Root Touch Up works great for me, my hair is very similar to yours in color, maybe a tad lighter at roots. I think you might’ve mentioned it before. It doesn’t seem to wear my hair down or feel yucky. It’s not waterproof but it’s SO easy to use!

I need to use harsh sulfates, because I have SD aka seborrheic dermatitis. It's the only thing that keeps it at bay (and I'm 45, I've tried it all). If it's something that can help me not use the medicated shampoo as often (Nizoral 2%), I'll take it! I'm glad they are still on the market and that not every company jumped on the sulfate-free bandwagon!

Rita Hazan also makes a great shampoo and conditioner and a once a week deeper conditioner. Really helps my frizzy hair! And I like the smell.

I picked up sample pack, generous size of the Caviar Alterna Repair Shampoo and conditioner and protein cream. Made a huge difference in one shampoo, although the full sizes are so expensive, I'm trying to get my hair healthier after so much stress last year. I also take biotin and hair protein vitamins. i love that curling iron.

yes, I noticed the highlights are a different color too....is this an ash? It looks very soft and healthy, but I also noticed a bit of a slight green cast, but wasn't sure. She looks great always though....

Hi Angie, have you tried the monat line yet? My hair was always frizzy and the last couple of inches were always dead and gross-looking until I switched to that stuff. Two of my friends had their hair grow back after using it. Also, can you do another eyeshadow tutorial for hooded eyes? It would be great if you could do one with warm colors :-)

I dislike the texture of my hair at the roots after using the minoxidil liquid from Kirkland. It makes it sticky. But the results with regrowth have been good. I also use it on my eyebrows with great results.

Heck to the yes on companies making this shampoo and conditioners different colors. I stopped using John Frieda because of how many times I accidentally double shampooed because I couldn’t tell the difference between the shampoo and conditioner in the shower without my glasses on! Lol

LOL, I so agree with the issue of identifying the shampoo & condish in the shower. eSalon has actually considered their customers. I have a similar issue with reading ingredient lists on skin care packaging. Lots of companies use fancy boxes and labels that use, e.g., white text on silver. I have to use a magnifying glass! Even websites that use light gray fonts bug me. Oh, the challenges of aging or imperfect eyesight. I like your description of eSalon's formula; I'm going to check them out for a volumizing s&c.

This was a great video Angie! loved all the information, and watching you create your look, your hair looks soft, healthy, and I love that hair style on you. I checked into the esalon shampoo and conditioner, but unfortunately all the formulas seem to contain protiens but my hair is very protien sensitive. It seems a little bit backwards actually... from what I hear women colour the roots lighter (or start adding more highlights) however you are making the roots very very dark. Why actually? Then it shows immediately when a few silver ones appear, so you can start all over again. No? It's not really logical, but GRAY HAIR in reality means that a specific hormon - that is responsible for the actual colour of the hair - stopped working. You can re-start it with certain herbs!! We've seen many whose haircolour turned back to their original one and also, spiritually, it means: inner turmoil (unknown or known, subconscious or unconscious). X

That is 'Conditioning Of The Mind' = you have a certain expectancy already and so you will see it. Mind over matter. Every time. There are plenty who don't lose the colour as they age. Aren't they getting old? Of course they do... x

Why actually? The darker base/roots are just more on trend now. ; ) Balayage look/technique of gradual natural coloring really counts on a darker base I think, or at least most I have seen are darker with lighter on top. You can still balayage blonde but the base is needs to be darker too. So to get that look you are going to want to chase the greys back. Backwards perhaps, but oh so pretty.

Yes, trendy. Yes, pretty. I didn't say it wasn't. I just said that it seems backwards (from what I've seen women doing) re. all the work that has to be done every second week to keep up with the roots.... Highlights make it all more bearable, they say, but AMLA powder, NEEM, lemon, coconut oil seem to help reviving the real colour. I've seen so many videos on it and there is no damage (if used wisely). Either way, very pretty, yes! xx

OMG! I would have been nervous as hell to even attempt it! You did a great job. I don't think I could do it. I never double processed before, just the foil highlights. I've been broke & haven't been able to go to the salon in a really long time & so now every highlight is gone & wondering if now I am going to have to do a 2 step processing because it now just seems so dark! Ugh! My hair's a disaster! I really wish I had the confidence to do my own, but I don't.

Angie, I need a new color routine so I guessed correctly that you might have one. Love your routine but eSalon does not carry that shampoo and conditioner. When I spray my parting, I use a wooden kebab/satay stick. Lay the stick along your parting then spray. It looks more natural when the scalp is not brown.

Any hair dresser will tell you that the regrow products cause fall out and other stuff when you stop using. Instead of you using so many processes to smooth down your cuticle you should use Olaplex and actually heal your hair from color and heat damage.

Have you tried the new "replenishing" version of this Alterna smoothing gelee? (The one you are using in this video is no longer available). Alterna also reformulated the CC 10-in-1 cream (which you used previously) to a "replenishing" version, and many reviewers prefer the old version of that one....so I'm suspicious about this reformulation as well. I was thinking of trying Alterna's satin rapid blowout balm instead.

Here is a tip for shampoo/conditioner bottles in the shower. Sometimes the bottles get slippery so I put a couple of elastic bands on them for easy grip. Just place over the bottle and no more fumbling with them. Angie your hair is perfection.

I use RevitaLash on my brows and on me it makes more hairs grow and they're longer (need trimming).

Just discovered your channel 2 nights ago and of course have binged for a few hours. Have you ever tried the suction cup face lift? Your hair is beautiful.I am 55 years not sure if that matters..I just got a spur of the moment hair cut....not from my hairstylist..ugg..and she cut 4 inches off..I have never had short hair..I do have damage and dry hair.....I was reading about serums and masks...for hair growth and repairing hair...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! So glad you touched on hairline thinning? I am experiencing as well and I think its from long term use of retina a on forehead? I m unable to find any research on how far retina a travels when applying to forehead? Cant wait for you update video on using 5 percent Minoxidil.

Renee Schroeder hi Renee, I use retina as well and I have an identical twin sister who does not. We both have thinning hair around the hair line. In fact hers is worse 🤫. Hope this helps.

Loved the magical editing-only thing that would have made it better would be the Samantha Stevens nose twitch sound track. : ) Totally agree about that root color spray's yuck feeling. What is in that stuff? : ) Your find in E Salon products and color with consultant takes the worry away with the grey it seems. I shouldn't be nervous to try, as you have never mislead me and I am always kicking myself once I finally do as you do~ for not doing sooner. Truly quality content Angie. Thanks! XO

Thanks for another great informative video! Angie - you introduced me to Nuface and I love it! Have you seen the NuFace website's instructions on using the device for the neck? Have you tried that? I thought it was not FDA approved for the neck? What are your thoughts? Would love to know.

Great video! I use the Age Beautiful root touch up spray from Sally’s in between salon visits. Sometimes the spray lands on my part. I wipe it away with a q-tip when I catch it. Any suggestions to avoid the brown part syndrome?

Great tips-- I find my arms get achy and I get lazy and start putting too much hair in the iron so this makes it look way easier. =)

I loved the stamped on eyebrows you had used in the previous video....I noticed you didn't use it in this video....I thought it was a wonderful product as you did also....so why did't you use it again in this video???
