I’ve always wanted to make short films - silent vlogs. But for some reason I would always come up with an excuse to not do so. Now that I’m a mom of an one year old, I find this thing called motherhood beautiful but finding a balance is very.. challenging. Especially if you’re doing motherhood alone. The time where I could film a hair wash day and edit for 5 hours straight are gone. As if God is telling me that this is what I need to do (all a long). I feel like I don’t have a choice now. Since film/videography is my passion, I can not sit and do nothing because I don’t have the time nor space to film hair videos. I love creating! Hello February! I had a week of content filmed. When I was ready to transfer the files to my harddrive I saw that the files were missing. I almost broke down and cry (which I later did). Recovering was not an option, since I didn’t want to pay a lot of money only to recover the files. I was really sad, because I also had some great footage of my son on there. Me crying in the video was not only about the files missing, but for everything I went through/going through. After I broke down, I was thinking where these oppositions coming from? Why is the enemy fighting me? And in the mist of it all I remember that ain’t no way the enemy is coming between my God and what he promised me! Immediately after, I opened my notes and made a (new) shotlist for this vlog and filmed 2 shots after. This is a ‘small’ testimony. Please continue doing what God put on your heart to do. Oppositions will always step in when you’re on the right pad.

Aww girl, how I relate to these days and now my son is 11 years old. I don't know whether you have support or dad is on the scene but utilise support if you have it and be open to ask for help with friends/ family. As Mummy, you are the roots in your household and self comes first. You will be ok my darling, boys are not easy, your looks very bright and independent which helps. Remember you have your own separate identity and needs from that of your baby and allow yourself time and don't be overly hard on yourself. You are doing wonderful Mama xx

Samantha, I have been concerned about you. Being a single mother and working isn't easy but Prayer and God's grace and mercy will get you through. You also could be dealing with postpartum depression and this too shall pass. You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. Keep your head up to the sky and every time you look into your son's eyes thank the Lord for his health and ask for strength to endure. Lord Have Mercy
