I'm 31 and haven't found out what I want to do yet, career wise. I used to love drawing, painting, cutting and gluing and generally being creative when I was younger. I'm starting to think maybe this is the right path for me, I honestly can't see any other path I will be able to take as I have ADHD and it's crucial for me to do something I genuinely like doing.
Jesse, a lil advice for your MENTAL health: if you could throw in your daily routine some "15min strength training workout" at home, you will feel even better, trust me, I have felt it! : )
because mental health is very VERY important to living a fulfilling life. And taking care of your mental health is not taught in school (at least when I went to school). Taking walks, eating right, talking to people you enjoy being around, all help your mental health.@@davidjp999
i love this - it's also kinda funny that although i'm across the earth from you, as a freelance designer as well, our routines are pretty much the same! even down to the winding-down-reading-a-book-but-not-too-relaxed at midday activity. this was very wholesome to watch.
you have no idea how much you just described my dream day / current day activities. starting with the vegan protein shake, coffee break, wearing band merch, going to get coffee, reading as a break, and indian food is my absolute fave. i've been working as a software developer for the last year, but am going to try and transition into design. decided yesterday i should try and combine my love of music with design so i looked up music posters and found your channel. i'm only a few videos in but loooving your content and especially your album redesign concepts. the DRAIN one was siiick. i'm mocking up a poster for a gleemer tour right now as my first go. excited to watch more of your videos, thanks for the inspiration!
one day i hope to quit my 9-5 job to do your life, it's so relaxing and productive at the same time i love it. You keep my motivation up, thank you so much
I'm researching what graphic designers actually do because I'm an illustrator thinking of transitioning into graphic design and your video really helped me get a glimpse of what the profession is like. Thank you so much.
Clean transitions this vid bro. Really enjoyed this one. At the very very start of pursuing graphic design. Just listening and learning out of entertainment
Damn this really reassured me. I've recently started a (still solo) media agency and your routine is very very close to my routine I kind of developed. Coming from a harsh surrounding where you usually just plainly are at work from 7am to 4pm and don't have the freedom to roam around in between and do fun stuff it was pretty hard to convince myself that that routine is okay. I've noticed that it really made me feel better and I also developed a feeling of "this is fine and I'm grateful" but seeing someone established kind of have the same routine really reassured me. Thanks for your video. it's nicely put together!
Oh man, that Indian food looks so good. It's been over a year since I've eaten from an Indian restaurant (moved to a small but big town, limited food options).
man your day looks so chill. I wake up with eye problems and body cramps, I live in Cartel Land, ive had my house raided by Mexican military, but I got a lot of talent, just havent made enough to where I can get myself out this situation, very inspiring though bro!
I don’t know why, but I always imagined you as being shorter :P can’t wait to watch the vid though, I love this type of content Edit: just wanted to say that the editing and stuff here is really good??? Who knew designers could do things other than spend 2 hours playing with typography
I miss california, cuz there are bright days without the excessive heat from phoenix arizona. It can get pretty brutal here man especially you used to be from the east coast like Chicago. Im a guy who likes it around 70 degrees more or less. California can be hot but not as bad as arizona
Hello, I'm Kendra Twine, a TAFE student with a keen interest in graphic design. I'm curious to know: What do you find most challenging about being a graphic designer, and how do you overcome those challenges? Your insights would provide valuable perspective as I embark on my journey in the world of design. Thank you!
Always love these kind of videos! Seeing you shirtless was a bonus not gonna lie. Also yeah let your body wake up naturally before injecting coffee in your system. I also listen to music later in the day, I usually listen to podcasts in the morning, including yours. For more healthy tips, try to avoid the microwave and heat up on an oven. Working and filming all this must've been hard. Thanks for this video Jesse! Now let's get back to work.
I found you video ramdonly lookup photoshop tutorial for my kids and started watching but realize i been to the coffeeshop (its great) show and I worked at BF near you, just crazy random lol
Am I not unique? lol. We have all the same interests and taste. Design obviously, Same lip balm, same music taste (tom misch is amazing), we both make poster designs in a similar style, i also have a mountain wallpaper, we both like bad friends, i also have a cat... lol. "DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS?!" (Step Brothers line).
I love your routine. Sometimes I feel like I work much harder than this... But if I have to be honest with myself... It's pretty the same! haha No burnout allowed (as possible)
Hey Jessie I've been a graphic artist for a while and have recently decided to start a poster printing service, any suggestions on the sizes/ what has been a very popular size. Love your videos and your creativity
very good wallpaper, it is the mountain called Chaltén in Santa Cruz Argentina, World Champion country ⭐⭐⭐, if you ever come to Argentina I recommend you visit it
hi jesse! loved the vid as usual. just wondering, what do you generally have in your protein shakes? i'm thinking about having protein shakes before university in a morning.
Hi Jesse. I'm studying graphic and web design this year and I came across your channel. Have really been enjoying and learning from your vids! Really enjoyed this one too! Have you ever printed out one of your own prints that you're super proud of and wanted to display? Thanks so much for the work! Big fan!
Thank you man, I am also working as a designer from home and always struggled to find a good routine. This video helped me alot. Thanks you! On a side note: What switches do you use on your mechanical keyboard? Linear, taktile or clicky? Just got one with blue clicky gateron switches and wanted to know if theres a better switch for graphic design especially. Thanks in advance for an answer😊 and keep on doing your great work. Best, Felix
Hello all! I'm a 20-year-old thinking of going into graphic design. I've been wanting to get a decent desktop computer for possible future graphic design projects and some gaming. I play on Xbox so I would mostly hook up my Xbox to the computer. I also will probably do some art projects with a graphic tablet in the near future. Any good recommendations for a good desktop I should invest in for my needs? Thanks!
Does graphic design require a lot of hand drawing? Nrver drawn/sketched on paper before. When i first got into drawing a few years ago, I just jumped straight in with my tablet, redesigning movie logos. I've since then gotten ingo making digital posters too. So drawing by handbis something i would like to experiment with someday. Does graphic also require a lot of math?
