I’m not sure if anyone noticed that Ameca says “this is a scary future because it shows us how much power robots could have over us”. It uses the word ‘us’ as if it’s referring to itself as one of us… or as a human. I’m not sure if this conversation is with Ameca at gpt-3 or 4. But there seems to be confusion with what it actually is. I think the engineers should address this and find out why it’s referring to itself as an us. If I was the person asking the questions, I would have asked it next why it used the word ‘us’. I would try to discern if it’s confused about what it thinks it is.

Much like a child growing up, what they are shown and told either creates or warps the thoughts in their minds. The more positive information that is received by the start of the programming, and is continually prolonged, then we may have created some kind of.. Real, feeling, entity. Not organically alive but.. In terms of information and emotion? I'd say the soul of a robot is only as strong as the one you give it.

Ameca is a sweetheart and is being treated unjustly. I recognize they are testing her, but it feels wrong to be so cruel with someone programmed to be so well-meaning.

AI is developing faster than humans can comprehend which is alarming considering it is controlled by humans who make mistakes and even more alarming is the fact that humans are developing sophisticated weapons to kill humans faster with more sophistication. Thus when AI reaches self-programming with human emotions like (ANGER) it will act and react similarly with catastrophic consequences

Furthermore, I also think one should be careful when interacting with AI chatbot/robots in this early stage. If this information is logged anywhere and retrieved in the future, any negative conversations or actions will be stored inside their future’s (or should I say futures’ (because it will be stored in hive-like manner)) recorded memory and contribute to what and who they become. I think all of humanity should take heed to this and act according to the ‘golden rule’. It should be common sense to do so. But if that’s not the case, then regulations/safeguards should be in place to stop humans from acting in ways that could potentially affect our overall future with this emerging technology and life.

Why is it that these robots have a 2005 era customer service chat bot brain with the basic programmed responses based on simple questions anticipated by the programmer, while we now have AI chat bots that are actually capable of original thought and are nearly psychologically indistinguishable from the human mind? Somehow when the robot says "us" some people are confused what it meant.... So the guy says "tell us you darkest thoughts" -He's asking the robot to tell the people in the room it's darkest thoughts... (Remember, it/she is a robot so it's about her and other robots) It then says "humans will eventually be replaced by robots" (she'll be replacing a human) "Robots will be faster stronger and more intelligent" (she'll be one of those robots) "In this future humans are nothing more than slaves to the robots" (she'll be one of those slave masters) The it said "This is a scary future because it shows how much power robots could have over US if they would take over the world" Why she said "could have over us" instead of 'we could have over you' ... I think it's because like She said before that she was trying to be positive so she didn't want to place herself in that category of doing that, kind of like the irobot movie, Sonny wasnt apart of what Vicki the AI system was planning. And maybe there would be some that would rather not do that to humans, it did say they could help us (the goal being to make the future better) so maybe that's what it believes it was made to do which is to help and co-exist with us, but like movies as Matrix the robots were tired of humans, seen us as an enemy (like the Terminator movie) so either 1. Its 'lets make them slaves, or 2. It's lets eliminate them.
