My best friend passed away in my arms and this song dropped the day of his funeral. It was a sign to me and has been my new favourite song since the first time i heard it.

Literally went through the same thing with my dog "Lady" finally she had to get euthanized only maybe 2 weeks ago now. Terminal as well. Cancer. Too old to really do anything anyway. Her tumor grew so fast she declined so quickly she went from still jumping clean over fences to 8 months later unable to hardly walk at all. She already was getting bad eyesight and hearing but she was nearly completely blind and deaf and couldn't walk and she STILL was right there right beside me all the way til the end. Even going on walks with her barely working legs I had to stop letting her do that cause she NEEDED REST. she just wouldn't. She was a true protector, companion, nanny dog to my children. I grew up with her. I still think she's going to be there right by me or in one of her spots... it's very crushing... I've known pilot passed but didn't know it was so similar to what my lady went through. She was a lap mix if some sort, a rescue she was tall and lean and people thought she was so unique looking as she looked like a black lab but also like some med/long haired greyhound or something. She used to jump thriugh hula hoops, she hopped through fields like a deer and swan so smoothly with just her head and top of her back on top of the water. She was amazing and I miss her every second. I'm so sorry you had to watch pilot decline and go through that. I have a feeling your pilot was quite an emotional support dog just like my lady. Rest in peace to our babies 🙏❤ idk what I believe in but if there's a "heaven" I believe all dogs go there. Love you pookie

Man real talk …. My first buddy Darwin died in my arms having a seizure but his damn tongue off. Worst night of my life. It hurts to say but I have 2 dead Brothers one younger and one older from drug overdoses. The day Darwin went was the worst. The moment when you sat down, swallowed the tears and took off your hat felt like such a genuine moment and it would not suprise me if it was. I was beside my dog as he started coughing up blood and took his last breaths, it was on my patio out back. Since that day i would sit a tile over from the ones he died on and watch over the valley. Sometimes i would experience the exact same moment he expressed here and my god i feel you brother... much love pookie!
