My Dooney & Bourke Handbag Collection ~ Cleaning & Conditioning My Leather Purses 

I have been a collector of Dooney for over 15 years and I see so many purse videos and can’t believe that these high-end designers like Louis Vuitton especially make $4000 handbags and do not have feet at the bottom… Yet Dooney has it all,such high-quality and hardware. I don’t understand how they are not considered designer

Thank you Dawn for being brave and showing us how you use the oil on the Florentine satchel. I collect Dooney bags and have picked up used Florentines with scratches. I have watched others remove scratches with Apple conditioner but the oil is amazing. I decided to try it on some older bags and it worked well. I live in a dry area and the leather needed help. Then I tried it on a new Florentine tassel bag that I bought on sale. It arrived with scratches on it but the leather was very smooth so I decided to keep it. The oil removed all the scratches. The bag was even more supple and beautiful. I have also used it on the handles and leather trim on brenna bags. Thanks for the demonstration. It gave me the courage to try it. A little oil goes a long way and it does darken the leather at first. I just let it sit and dry and it worked well. I also have learned to kneed bags if there is a darker spot in the leather. I just pinch it and move it around with my fingers. It has helped with older bags that had spots. Thanks again I will keep watching. K

I have recently discovered Dooney and Bourke a couple months ago thrift shopping and saw a bag on the rack that was very interesting and unique but unfortunately it wasn't in good condition, but I went ahead and bought my very first D&B crossbody bag the Penrose Crossbody 20. It's so beautiful. Now I can't stop watching reviews of other peoples D&B bags!

Yay, so excited to finally see all your DBs. Fellow handbag addict and love DB also. I actually have a Lexington pebbled tote in the elephant and it’s beautiful. Really recommend it. Also, I have one of the newer pebble leather bags (same line as your pebble top handle crossbody) in the taupe. And boy, they outdid themselves with the taupe on that line. It’s stunning. Elephant has been my favorite for a long time, but the new taupe is edging close behind and possibly staging a takeover. PS I also picked up a flawless Florentine Satchel on Mercari a while back after seeing your video on it and it’s gorgeous. Permanent collection for sure. Anyway, thanks for making this video!

I love learning everyone's name and when I see them taking the time to comment on so many videos, I just feel so touched, and I want to know their names. ❤️ Also, you take such good care of your bags! The inside of mine are generally covered in pen or makeup stains. And the funny thing is, I never remember having had a pen in my purse. Lol! 😂❤️

So nice to see all your D & B bags! I think it's a hard choice if I had to choose but the last one that you were cleaning would be my favorite. I went to the website and they really are having a good sale right now. The video is helpful though because it can show the actual size of the bags. Oh your dressy bags would be a good video too. I just love handbags and totes! I think D & B has the prettiest Navy leather bags.

Hi Dawn! This video was super helpful! I recently gifted myself with the Florentine Amelie and I absolutely LOVE it! This is my first D&B, and what drew me to this bag was the beautiful leather. One thing I noticed as soon as I started carrying it was how quickly and easily the leather gets scratched. I'm hoping the leather oil you recommended helps restore and hide them. Do you have any suggestions on how to clean the interior?

I have a Vintage D&B Large Norfolk, same color. Works just as good as the newer handbags.

Oh my dear Dawn you are definitely a gal after my own heart. Handbags have always stolen my heart. Along with shoes and jewelry. I also keep the tags in a small zip lock bag inside the handbag. D & B currently has a fantastic sale on their website. They are really offering some great prices. I say go for the elephant tone bag. It is a very unique color and looks great with jeans and casual wear. I was able to find the kiss lock type wallet in elephant on their site for a very reasonable price. I love all of my All Weather Leather, Florian Leather, The Vinyl black with the color DB’s and my Vinyl Brown and gold DB’s. ALL OF MY DOONEYS WILL OUT LAST MY LV BAG. They be easy with LV bags to hand them down. Treat LV cheaply made bags easy if you want to keep them a year.

Hi dawn I was wondering have you ever experienced your Florentine discoloration I recently bought some purses and for some reason one of the Florentine satchels has a light spot on it It's like it didn't get colored the same patina with all the rest of them and I was wondering if you do how do you handle those I have never made a comment on a video so I don't know how you will get back to me but I'm hoping it'll alert me somehow I do have pictures I could share I did purchase the otter wax and oh my God they make the bags look so beautiful I was wondering if maybe the saddle soap would work but I really just need that spot darkened. Hello, I recently purchased the D&B Shoulder Bag Florentine Vacchetta Handle Front Pocket Black Leather Tote at a local consignment shop. The bag appears to be authentic (based on other videos I watched) and is in excellent condition. The bag has Dooney & Bourke name in cursive writing on the front rather than the duck logo. Do you know how to determine the year the bag was released? Is the writing instead of the duck logo something new or more vintage? Thank you for your help!
