You magically appeared on my home page and I Love This!!! It reminds me of working with my grandmother in her Pottery and Ceramics Shop!!!! Such A Beautiful Memorial Of Your Mother to Be Handed Down Upon Generations!!! Have A Blessed Day Ms. Helen!!
I absolutely love listening to you and watching your beautiful creation take shape, even more lovely knowing that your mum crocheted the doily. Thank you so much x
Oh that is an absolute work of art, and your mothers doily makes it extra special! I love to make things that have meaning! You are truly a clever lady! Bless you!
Oh, the sweet nostagia! I used to do stuff like this with my Grandfather when I was little. He was a genius in casting and he taught me how to do stuff like the Big Leaf you did. Together we build a huge pond in his backyard using techniques like this. So grateful to him for teaching me! So grateful to you for bringing it back for me! 😍👴👵💓
You are precious, the beauty of the Lords love shines from you, and you are so creative. This is actually a great idea. I must try it. Thank you for sharing, and God bless you as well.

What a lovely idea for your mothers crochet doily. You are such a delightful woman, and such a blessing! I thank God for you. God bless you dear sweet Helen.
Very interesting, and beautiful. I would have loved to see it filled with beautiful flowers. I can only imagine how lovely it is. God bless you, thank you for sharing.
Helen, I can’t even tell you how much I am loving your videos. Everything you do is absolutely gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing and hello from a fellow southerner from NC.
Miss Helen, I love the things you make. I am definitely going to make some. Don't know if you aware of it but you can buy color additive for cement. It's dry and you just add it to the cement mixture. There are quite a few colors and work very well. You can mix colors and make different shades on one piece. I have used it to make stepping stones and a few other things. I think I got it at Home Depot. Keep them coming.
I just wanted to let you know Helen...I love your post...my favorite one is your Mom crochet doily creation pot...someday we would love to see your garden and all the flowers and birds...God bless you Helen always...
Dear Miss Hellen, with the cement and sand, if I can't get Portland cement, and George sand, can I use regular cement, and sand box sand? I'm doing my projects? I am new to this!!!!
Lovely. I've crocheted doiles from my grandmother and aunts who would be anywhere from 115 to 140 years old if still living. Some are badly stained but I could never let them go. I love to garden (but never learned to crochet) and now have the perfect use for some of these treasures for myself and my children and grandchildren. You are an inspiration!
What an inspiration you are to Ladies everywhere!! You are in such awesome physical shape. God bless you what an terrific inspiration to ladies every where!!
Beautiful indeed! If you still make pots, try coloring the wet cement with a dye or unsweetened kool aid and then clear or colored lacquer over that like glaze over slip on clay pots. Color on color adds depth.
.omgoodness your such an inspiration love thst you have your mother's Doilies on there and when you painted it whit it's awesome turned out wonderful thku for sharing Helen xxx
Hi there Helen what a very clever idea to extend the life if your mother's hard work crochet piece by setting if in cement. To be marvelled at for generations....I really enjoyed your video and love your garden. Thank you, Debs in Spain xx
That pot turned out gorgeous! You are very creative Helen. Watching your videos are fun and relaxing. They also teach me that I need to be patient with my crafts. You work patiently on your projects and the finished product is beautiful. Thank you for sharing and teaching me.
I must say that, that is the most beautiful vase, aren’t you the clever one to come up with an idea like that. I especially like that you used your Mum’s crochet in this project and eventually your children can cherish it as a reminder of both of you. I very much enjoyed watching this video and your other ones. Thank you and God Bless

Helen, I just discovered your channel this weekend and I am enjoying it much more than I can put into words. Your garden, with its sounds of birds and wind chimes, your peaceful, creative spirit, and your calm, soothing voice take me back to joyful places and people in my past. Thank you so much for sharing yourself and your creativity on this channel. I know I’m not the only one to whom you bring joy. This doily flower pot is particularly beautiful and the story behind it only makes it more so.
Helen, You are such an inspiration. I absolutely love this project. I have lots of old doilies from my grandmother. She was an avid gardener too. What a lovely way to honor and remember her. May God continue to bless you ... and us ...with many more beautiful mornings.
Wow, can't wait to try all of your product, the simple truth is that I love your beautiful projects. can't get enough. A new fan. Sometimes an accident is wonderful.
Hi Helen Ihope you read this soon. July 2020. Just wanted to let you know that A couple weeks ago a lady came on you page (audio only) she said you were having financial problems and needed our prayers- she then said she was willing to collect the money for you, if we sent it to her address! My alarm went off when it wasn’t you asking.! She has a “You Tube” page called POORMANSSEWING. I went on her site and she didn’t look like anyone I’d send money to!! You need to check her out and let us know if this was a request that you authorized? I believe She lives in Tennessee. If so I am more than happy to help you - your subscribers love you Helen 💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️ Dorothy in Georgia 🍑
Helen, I have several old doilies of my grandmothers that were damaged when I received them! I couldn't bear to throw them out! She was an avid Gardner... This would be the perfect way to preserve her damaged Doilies and nobody would never know! She would be so pleased to grow plants again too! Kudos for the idea!! Love from Montana!
I know you replied a year ago Patty but i had the same inspiration.. I have doilies my Great-Grandmother crocheted.. many i have used to make pillows with for my grand-daughters. I am hoping I can do this with some of them. My grandmother loved to garden as did my mom. I can just see her looking down on me as I place these pots in the Memorial Garden I made for them.. I have lilies in the garden that were from Lillie's my grandma had in her garden.. they will just love this.. thanks to you Helen...
I loved your video. Can't wait to try it out. I want to make one for my Mom that just turned 89. I seem to have some time on my hands right now so I've been looking for some garden ideas and so glad to subscribe to your sight.
That is one of a kind..and very beautiful..your mama would be so proud to see what you have done with the doily she made. I love your little garden too. I just found your channel, and I am glad I did.
Helen, I am so happy to have found your channel. Not only are you creative and talented, but you are absolutely charming. I'd like to know where you use your cement pots and how you use them. Maybe sometime you might tour your yard to revisit your creations. I'm getting ready to tile three patio end table with glass. The project is totally and completely inspired by you. You are as blessed as you are a blessing, Helen. Thank you for sharing.
Helen that pot is beautiful. I know your mom is an angel looking down on you and so proud of what you did with her crocheted Doily. You are so creative when I watch you makes me want to get up go outside in my yard and get busy. Problem is Helen, I can't stop watching your videos to get out there! :-)
I am a fellow Georgian and I just love that I have stumbled on to your channel! Your projects are so creative. I don't think there is anything you won't tackle!
Bevery Bennett-Maine if you want to water proof you can buy pond sealer from gardening stores, you just paint it on the inside and it will be water tight, in fact there would be nothing stopping you from making flower vases in that case because it will hold water
patty ferreira "naked" cement is porous and not waterproof. If you paint it with acrylic paint & a sealer, it would be fine. Exterior house paint or spray paints would be good as well. I'd seal the inside with Pond Sealer or paint it also to prevent the pot from degrading from the inside. ☺
