Sorry to hear you haven't been well. I think with travelling, the things that go wrong, make for great stories which you can still tell in years to come! Glad you’re feeling better Demi. Glad it didn’t put you off going back to Bali. Definitely recommend Thailand, I went to Phuket, Ko Lanta, and Koh Samui. Had the same laid back vibes, great food, amazing people and experiences. ❤

One of the worst feelings ever.. when you feel that death would be preferrable to the awful feeling of being so ill and especially abroad. You just want to lie down anywhere, literally. Glad you're feeling better. 😊
Oh Demi, my heart breaks for you, such a terrible thing to happen in another country, so scary. Poor Seans toe, I am glad you are now well and you sure do have a brilliant story. I hope you do not mind me saying this but look at how far you have come. Look at how much you have grown and learned in such a short period of time. it is truly admirable. Sometimes we all have down days but next time you do, just think of all you have done and all of the places you have been and the beautiful and brave solo trips you have taken. That will take those blues right away.
So sorry your trip ended that way, always awful being ill away from home. Quite frankly you saw by far the best bits. Dubai is not a wonderful place and disappointing apart from the hotels and weather! Anyway glad you have recovered, you can't be too careful as we don't have to same resistance to tropical bugs! Loved the travel vlogs.

My partner and I always did seven nights in two places, much more of a relaxing holiday, but also love a cruise seeing so many different countries and places, sorry you were ill it’s horrible to be ill away from home, I once had a bad stomach upset in Cyprus, only found out when I got home I had food poisoning 🤢
I’m so gutted for you that you had this experience but so glad you got decent medical attention and that you are better now. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to do Dubai I’m sure x
Hi Demi, thankyou for all of your travel vlogs, I really enjpyed them. So sorry to hear that you were unwell in Dubai but perhaps you will be able to go there again at some time. Hope Shaun's foot is ok too. I have to say that in every shot you looked stunning and you have both lost weight - good on ya!! The change of food environment and climate can be enough to put you off kilter. The hygiene standards will be different too, you need to have time to adjust
oh my...so sorry you had such a hard time ....been there myself...found it scary being sick so far from home....but your looking great now ...Dubai is something to look forward to in the future...
While I agree with this I think the fact Demi had antibiotics and needed IV liquids to hydrate her shows it was more than just an upset stomach. A lot of tourists who visit Bali need medical intervention for travellers belly

I think one of the expectations people have of Hong Kong comes from what we often see on TV but the reality is VERY different. Take the old cars for example, taxi drivers don't get paid a lot and often use older cars because they are cheaper. For tourists and those who are deemed well off within the country it's great but for many who live there they don't earn a lot, they can't afford a lot of the things we deem as being 'normal' or more advanced so they do rely heavily on making money, in cash, from those who visit the country.
Bali is somewhere I'd love to visit but the risk of traveller belly stops me due to having a stomach condition already anything like stomach bugs, even those we get here in the UK, leave me hospitalised and in some cases needing surgery I'm iffy 😅 that being said I've not ruled it out completely it's just something I'd have to be extra cautious about and pay a ridiculous amount in insurance
