Same 😭 Back when I was fourteen, my mom told me I was going to have one and hyped it up a bunch and showed me some dresses and I loved the idea of it so much. I'd never had a proper birthday before and it sounded amazing. But as the months went by and I was getting closer and close to fifteen, I decided to bring up again since my mom hadn't said anything about it since... Turns out my mom was joking, and me asking her that question was so funny to her that she called my stepdad who preceded to tell me why quinceañeras suck. 😢
