you can buy small strips of flints on amazon or ebay. id give that a try. would look cool. also roller skater here :)

@@AndyRCchannel ooh, you quads or inlines? I street skate a minimum of 10 miles a day, usually more providing the weather plays nice, im seriously addicted to skating, just got in from skating now as it goes :)

@@stevefox3763 inlines and quads as well as ice skating. Wish I had the time for it

@@AndyRCchannel I wish i had time for everything, recently flying has taken a back seat because i put skating first and im too exhausted, its even worse in the summer cos i ramp things up even more and skate between 15 and 20 miles a day, i do 20 miles in under 2 hours so you can imagine how knackered i am after pushing that hard as a skater yourself

@@AndyRCchannel Seems like my reply got lost due to it having links to Ebay. Oh well. I suggested that for audio, you should go for miniature subwoofers - if not, I think the sound is going to be too tinny. I found a couple of those (miniature subwoofer diy or something) plus a small amplifier.

I already got the sound sorted but you are along the right lines :) the audio will be sent to the driver via headphones as well as external audio too.

hey ash about two to 3 hours of constant running

its currently 4wd with the rear diff locked but im looking at a way that I can make it selectable. Thanks for the interest

it depends what surface you run them on really and also how low profile they are. for example the on road rubber tires I use in the sports hall have lasted two years and are still going. The same would go for running on carpet. these only lasted two hours of constant abuse (5200mah battery goes a long time) but they need to be abrasive to get those sparks so these types of tires for showing off wont last as long as your hard compound plastic drift tires. in any case for drifting you want a flat surface such as a supermarket car park. the tires are pennies anyways if you don't go for fancy ones.

its a passion project... theres even an option of having a working dash but iv already put enough on the plate. the steering wheel will turn though. forgot to mention that ;) and its all wireless of course

@@AndyRCchannel man.. i'm dying to see this project. A working dash seems like a whole other project trying to get the focus right and dealing with flicker would seem to be the biggest challenges i would assume.

yeah thats the problem but i got a few ideas
