Please do a tutorial SPECIFICALLY on the "RipX" feature of the DeepAudio plug-in from Hit'n'Mix. NO ONE covers that feature, and I feel like with what they already have, being able to program with it, might be the reason I learn how to program. That $#!* could be FIRE in time savings if it'll possibly do what I think that it might.
I will definitely be purchasing this plug-in I could hear all of the effects that the plug-in had on your drums via my smartphone and it wasn't hard to hear either it was very clear and obvious to the changes that were made as you were tweaking knobs. thanks for the review. ( Thought you were going to choose violence by the way ) 🤦🏾♂️
“My Drums didn’t Knock…They fuckin exploded” 😂 Thanks for reviewing this, because I was for sure not going to buy it without a demo version, now I might
I just figured out that the kilohearts transient shaper has a clipper which mixed with snap heap and just the free stuff that comes with that is pretty magical combo for making drums knock. Transient shaper into a clipper is the magic combo for knocking drums which the knock plugin does have but the kilohearts way is cheaper.
You made this plugin seem so dope so I got my hands on it and let me tell u the kick to 808 preset is my favorite because I hate finding pitching and tuning 808s so this like a cheat code. This really do make ya drums knock yo so thanks for showing me this. To anyone else who wants get it
I agree with the trial/demo version stance. I usually buy things that I have trial versions of, especially when they go on sale cause I know the quality from using it
Live your reviews, bro! I ran into this one mistakenly and wanted to see what you thought. Totally agree with it all! You’re a few judge of tech and appreciate your thoughtful and articulate description of features and your take on the comparisons! Kudos!
Easily one of the best music channels out there. From what it seems like, a transient processing suite is definitely something I think is worth having in the arsenal.
It definitely is. But how many folks out there don't already have transient shapers at their disposal? You'll find everything you need in your DAW and with free plugins.
I switched from Beatformer to Knock at least a year ago. Glad I did cause the Beatformer website went out of business and they never updated it to work on Mac Silicon computers
Thanks for the review . Plugins like this are very useful for getting a vibe at the start of a record. Great articulating an approximate sound but I usually swap it out for an FX chain of choice in my drum bus
I already noted this on Decap's video and he was cool enough to reply and acknowledge it, I really like the plugin, but I think there could be a little more functional features in it. Like on the transient control there could be a secondary knob for sustain +/- instead of just the attack, sometimes you really want a super short decay on drums. On the saturation there could be a couple different modes with different harmonics instead of the Low/Medium/High modes because you can do that by driving it harder anyways or using the clipper. And last, I'd like to see a button for switching the filter slopes like 12-18-24-48dB Filters. I have an old synth with a fixed filter and that's my one issue with it, filter slopes play a big part in sound design, because if you've only got the one slope and it doesn't match the sound you're going for, then no matter where you set it it'll always be letting a little too much through or not taking enough away. Otherwise this plugin is a pretty awesome, easy to use tool that's not really limited to just trap and hip hop, you can really get the soul out of it if your not turning your kick into an 808!
Is it me, or do you run into there being not enough low end when you bounce out the song..? I could just be messing something up, but I am not sure if anyone else was getting that...
You have to learn to mix low end. There are a lot of reasons that could happen, low end phasing is usually the issue. Try cutting the low end below 25hz, use mid /side EQ to make it mono below 45hz, etc
Your favorite 90s rap groups jacked gear , stood out on freezing corners to slang rocks. When you broke you gonna get it how ever and when they do have the money they'll pay for it. Jacking is a headache
Yea. That's why I deleted my other comment. I can get the same result. I spend my money wisely on plugins because I'm tired of the same crap that's just BRANDED by a producer.
Thanks for the truth AVE... My Truth is that plugins like this are just short cuts for the real process of sculpting a sound into what you want it to be.... I do not knock any ones hustle. But you can do all of that and more within your studio. I have waves platinum and cubase 11 along with backbone. Way more power at bay. But if you need a short cut, this one is ok..
100 dollars? Am I missing something. It seems as if there is a bunch of plugins that really don't do a whole lot but the creators are wanting money like it does. I've been in the music business from a time when there were no such thing as DAWs and plugins. I've purchased 10s of thousands of dollars worth of plugins and gear. Used to be when you spent 50-150 dollars for a plug in, you got something for it. Now simple EQ based plug ins claiming to make your drums knock.....and they want 100 dollars.
@@panndaacookies213 for starters, I agree with the price point. I don’t agree it’s a fancy looking eq. EQs don’t lift subsonic frequency w/o effecting other frequencies. They don’t tune subsonics either. EQs don’t saturate mids hand highs w/o effecting other frequencies. Also, Ableton drum bus isn’t free. You need the suite version which isn’t nearly as cheap. What if people don’t have or like Ableton Live?
@@AveMcree there's plenty of stock plugins / effects that do the same but I guess if u wanna spend $100 for "workflow " and "easy beats " go for it. Just saying I'm able to get same results with free audio effects that come with my paid version of live. Idk 😐 just trying to have a voice here.
@@AveMcree I happen to have Ableton Live 11 Suite. It is available to do this but I dont use it. If you use a parametric EQ, you cn come very close to being able to raise subsonic frequency bands without effecting much around it. It may escape me, but why would someone need to tune subsonics? As for mids and highs, the same thing can be achieved with a parametric EQ. Waves Q10 MAutoDynamicEQ Voxengo PrimeEQ AIREQ Premium Tokyo Dawn Records Nove GE All of these are less than 70 dollars
I was hope you turn the gain match on and than bypass and unbypass to check it better It’s dangerous- cause louder it’s feel better anyways ! Greets from Germany ❤️ I like your style always 🔥
Really great review. Dacap if your seeing these comments I think you could have had a Limited time loyalty price offering for your existing customers. you know..The one's who recieves those text messages regarding Drums that knock. Anyhow. I think Ave did you juctice in his review. I will be getting the plugin. BEATLIFE. Mellow DNA.
Man I want this . I’m not gonna lie I’m sucked in know I can do this with other tools but fuck, seems like a solid go to. Has anyone used on rock drums ?
Respect to all that you do in the name of love of music. I have to ask. What is that track playing while you were wrapping up? Sounded like pizzicato string plucks. Low key that shit jamming. That yours? Link it if you don't mind. I'll support the work if needed
Hey Ave, we gunna get a black Friday video? Also are glitch 2 & effectrix still the go to for multi effect glitching, or is there something newer/better?
IDK. I feel very uncomfortable purchasing this when I have plugins that do this already. Yeah it make take a little more work but I'd rather tweak them on my own. I don't want a plugin that just mixes drums.
I've had beatformer for a long time, this seems more useful and user friendly. I assume with time, you're using this a lot more and beat former is on the bench - yeah?
Unless you are new to the plugin game, I don't think most producers need this. Yeah it sounds decent but unless you're just starting out, working with only your DAW's effects, Knock just seems unnecessary.
