Some interesting choices Larry. Plan 9 is great fun and Goodfellas, as well as being brilliant, is a Scorsese master class on how to pick music for your film.

Some excellent movies there Larry!. My favourites are Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Airplane!, The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Best in Show. 👍xxx

Plan 9 has all those great quotable lines: "You are interested in the future because that is where we will spend most of our lives! And remember, future events will affect us...in the future!" (Oh swell, I hate when future events affect me in the friggin' past...)

Cool video. Of Mice and Men is one of my favourite books - I cried at the end. I enjoyed the movie but I only saw it the once at the cinema. I love Monty Python. I remember seeing The Meaning of Life at the cinema with my friends when I was 13 - we walked around the city reciting the lines after the movie. Holy Grail and Life of Brian would be tied as my favourite. Sparks Brothers documentary was great - I knew little of them and thought the documentary was engaging. I like parts of Spinal Tap. I think King of Comedy is well known - didn’t it win a lot of awards? We called Airplane ‘Flying High’ in Australia. My father took me to see it when I was 10. Midnight Express is great. I watched it just before my trip to Turkey in 1996. I was always interested in it because as a kid I would read rugby league and cricket magazines which had player profiles and Midnight Express would often appear as some players favourite movie - I had no idea what the movie was about. I didn’t like Something About Mary, Truman Show and 40 Year Old Virgin - some good parts but they were boring overall and people talked about them so much that I had high expectations when I saw the movies. I have Shaun of the Dead - it was a gift from a friend. I liked Misery, Goodfellas and Deliverance but once was enough. I watched Step Brothers with my kids so good memories in that respect. 2001 is a good movie. I suppose with any movie, the weather, season, time of day, company and how you see it all add to the enjoyment, or disappointment, of a movie.

All great movies, even if they're so bad they're still good, like Plan 9! I'll need a Blu-ray player, but that Sparks Brothers documentary would be at the top of the list of 'must gets'!

I saw Sgt.Pepper at the show Larry,it wasn't great but not as bad as people think,the Sparks movie is interesting and Dumb and Dumber is dumb and the Wizard of Oz is one of greatest movies ever made,I found Airplane hilarious when it came out and Spinal Tap is very good,being a musician I can relate to a lot of it,simply hilarious and Ben Stiller is great,I loved him in Zoolander. Bob

If you like plan 9 from outer space you should check out Killer Klowns from Outer Space

I love Monty Python but “meaning of life” is my least fave. I like some of the skits but others not so much. Difficult for me to choose between “holy grail” & “life of Brian”. 🤔
