I met dylan in cleveland, ohio on July 17,1991 down on lake erie. He was walking by himself. He came up to me and he shook my hand. He was very nice to me.
Thank you Ruth for the encounter you had through the Holy Spirit He engineered you to do a work in Bob. I was at a Messianic conference and they played Slow Train Coming' I just had to have that CD and I bought many to hand out to friends. To this day....EVERY WORD OF EVERY TRACK is right on for what today is all about. I play that CD to my grandchildren who are inspired to sing and dance to it. I hope and pray that Bob will know through Holy Spirit just how many souls have been blessed by him on this earth to testify of Jesus Yeshua Messiah Redeemer Saviour. Hallelujah to the King. I came to Jesus because of Bob Dylan. I was Anti war even though I served in the Army. His music gave me insight into what is happening now. His recent song " Murder so Foul" Is like "American Pie". A walk through time and the murder of JFK. Mind blowing in his command of song writing. His talent has gotten stronger. God Bless you Bob, Much love and respect.

Beautiful testimony of a faithful witness. Her physical beauty probably was the “ bait” not too mention the sheer curiosity of what was she handing out. Coupled with her love for the Lord, God’s timing, and her humbleness to pray and look to our Daddy, she marked these Hollywood celebs , in particular Bob.. what a beautiful testimony and the power of one person who just humbled herself , and said “ yes” to Jesus .. Whether or not Dylan responded to the gospel, and all reports are he did, this is the kind of thing that probably sets him apart from any other songwriter: a insatiable and curious mind humble enough and willing, even in his fame, to listen and learn. I bet he's still like that.
I dont know if Dylan left or was ever in something called the Zionist movement, but I have seen Dylan in concert in Israel. And I still listen to "Neighborhood Bully".
@@Piggy-Oink-Oink I don’t have a clue of the date, but that’s bc I was a little girl & he was a friend of my late brother. Although I was a child & am now old, I never forgot him, so he was very kind & continually remembered by & for it. Children are great judges of character, so if they love you, that speaks volumes. I shy away from anyone children step back from bc they haven’t been brainwashed yet; not saying I have been, but we all are taught, then read, etc. It’s often a self inflicted state became my observation late in life. Just something to think about. :)
2:35 “American Pie” references Dylan as “the jester,” to which Dylan did not take too kindly. Apparently, McLean thought Dylan was “borrowing” too much in creating his image.
Don McClean is a truthful man who can't live with public falsities. He just canceled appearing at an NRA event saying he cant play if the hosts are against his beliefs.
@@Piggy-Oink-Oink You do realize that Dylan avoided being hailed as “the voice of his generation” and other such honors. There’s nothing false about Dylan. He wouldn’t be caged, by the media or anyone else. “Americans Pie” is a nice pop tune with a jealous undertone. That’s it.

MacLean finally revealed the background to the entire song. It’s deeply rooted in Catholicism. Dylan is not the jester. There is strong mutual respect between the two.
Look up Ray Comfort and George Harrison. He made a video where he concludes Harrison was saved after a friend who was a race car driver shared Jesus with George very late in life ❤
@Tonetwisters , have you not thought it possible that you planted good seeds in fertile soil that was watered, perhaps by several, to result in gaining a brother to meet in heaven? All we can do is share our testimony, or witness the birth & journey of Christ, then let go & let God, unless we are asked more bc God gave everyone free will. Perhaps Mr. Harrison read & considered the material you sent, planting seeds of either curiosity or conviction. I don’t think we will know until we get to heaven who we helped, and we may be surprised who we see there. But I don’t think we will remember those who don’t get there or it would not be a heavenly place, although we all picture heaven differently. If you were obedient to God, you did great. :)

you're really mixing up things! Ruth gets mentioned and the next line is NOT about Ruth, beside that's supposed to be happening in Duluth, not in LA, but let's accept a poetic license, the lines though are not constructed to say that Ruth revealed a long-forgotten truth, and Bob Dylan has been attending synagogues and studying his root religion for decades now, he went back to it at the beginning of the eighties... he surely has an interest and a past focusing on Jesus, but I wouldn't push it that far saying he's a Jesus freak now...
I know Bob Dylan used to go to my brother's church in L.A. To say someone is a freak is mockery just like they mocked Jesus. The one who came to love and heal. Some day soon they'll lament it. Obviously Ruth's prayer hit home and made an impact in Bob's life or he wouldn't have produced those álbums.
I completely understand Bob allowing people to use their free will and think as they wish, as long as God always knew the truth lol. I seen that interview & paid close attention to his mischievous response, so even on that, you might want to see the interview again remembering God’s sense of humor. As an older woman now, I see his sense of humor every time I look in a mirror! LoL!

He turned 85 years of age today & it’s cool to share this world at the same time with him. I’m not a member of any organized religion but am a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ. He wasn’t bored. Dylan musical phases historically last 2.5 albums. As for the religion, he did return to his roots, studying with Chabad and the Rebbe himself at Chabad headquarters in Brooklyn.
