Been living in San Antonio, Tx for just over 3 years now and I get so offended when I hear "summer jacket" lol. Great video still! Very nice collection!
lol, being originaly from the Bay Area, I didn't realize how spoiled I was with the weather until moving to Tx. I am mos def moving back when I can.@@almostvintagestyle
As a fellow socal resident I can’t say I relate to the wearing of summer jackets.😂 I just run too hot. I’ve been taking advantage of local low 70s to slip into a denim jacket when I can though! Great video Jake!
Dehen is great but like you said. Scratchy but that’s how they made them back then. I’m a large but found I had to go to XL. Tight knits. Have two motorcycle sweaters but selling my large on eBay. Just a bit too small on me. My XL mid weight fits perfectly. The large was a much tighter knit. I do know McCoy was making jackets in NZ prior to 2011 but that could just be the sheepskin jackets.
Hi Jake, great video! Have you ever had or tried a Lost Worlds? If so, what do you think about them quality wise? I’m particularly interested in their Suburban.
Yes I have. The quality is very good, but they fit a certain way- more old school. If you like that and don't mind the chrome tanned leather, they're a great option
It may be possible, but I haven't come across any yet. It seems to usually be struck through. Possibly because of the sponge-yness of the leather? Not sure though
For the Brakeman, Id say replace the buttons with something nicer. The black buttons just look like cheap plastic crap, regardless of weather or not they are. It just doesn't work with the brown. Get some brown buttons, ideally in a lighter shade then the leather itself. Maybe some nice light brown corozo buttons. Have a tailor sew them on or do it yourself. For $20 or less you'll improve this jacket by 100%.
The issue is not about made in USA. Mu issue is with them outsourcing to save money and make an inferior product to what they made before. I buy plenty of items made outside the USA, but I buy products made to be the best they can be, no matter what country that is in.
