Excellent job of describing the scents! Yes, fragrance is so personal. Remember the day when employees walked around spraying paper samples and handed them to you as you walked through department stores?? The perfume never smelled on me like on a piece of paper! My signature fragrance at this time is Kilian's Angels Share. I also love Kilian's Love Don't Be Shy and Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. Easy to guess that I love gourmand fragrances. I have never found a Jo Malone scent yet that I like 🤷🏼♀️ I just ordered the Delina parfum and the GHD Gold Flat Iron with the case. I'm putting them under my tree and with a tag "From Stephanie & Risa"!!!!! My family will ask who Stephanie and Risa are? What fun I will have!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
For a cozy fall scent, I mix replica Whispers in the library and Tom Ford tobacco Vanille. The Tobacco Vanille on its own is a little intense on me, but together it’s a really comforting. In the summer I love Elizabeth Arden green tea. Reminds me of when I lived in England. I don’t particularly like floral scents but this one has a beautiful fresh and bright scent that lasts very well on me.
What a lovely collection! I went overboard in 2021 and bought way too many fragrances but Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt is one I’m really enjoying in any season. It’s very elegant. The regular Gabrielle by Chanel would be my signature scent if I could go back to a normal collection. 😆
Loved seeing your collection! I use my collection to improve my own mood and creativity these days. Staying home doesn’t stop me from sampling my collection. My favorite is my vintage Chanel #5. I also have a love/hate thing with Mugler’s Alien. I crave the smell sometimes! But it is not for the faint of heart! I am making a new list based on your video for 2022! 🤍☁️🤍
Great collection Stephanie 💗💗 I loved that you and Risa are collaborating together my besties🥰 My favorites are Dior J'ADORE 💚 and Armani SI intense. They smell devine on the skin and they last a very long time and they make me feel amazing 💖
Yellow diamond gives me those complements too. I have women chasing me to ask me what perfume is it. People can recognize me with that perfume. I've been using it for 6 years and I still love it.
@@gloriaclark7445 Yes. It’s tricky. It opens sort of crowd pleasing bright, but the citrus is different. I remember thinking, I never smelled citrus like this one. Then it’s even sort of sweet for a while. And acquatic, a bit. And then later, when you are out and about doing your activities, not even thinking about the perfume, people start coming around you. Lol. Some ask, some want to, but then decide to just enjoy the moment in your presence. That is why so many women are so surprised at the compliments they get wearing Versace YD or BC: the magic for others comes at midway all the way to the dry-down.
That is a really nice collection - thanks for sharing! As a scientist whose career is focused on the science of the shelf life of food/personal care products, I only have as many as I can use each up within 5 years - 3 sprays per day. Tom Ford Black Orchid, CD Hypnotic Poison, and YSL Black Opium. Yes, only 3, I'm very picky.
I am definitely going to purchase Bacart Rouge 540 eventually. I’ve been building my collection slowly and I’m enjoying everything I’ve purchased so far. I love Replica By the Fireplace, Alien is gorgeous, Givenchy L’interdit Rouge Eau De perfum
I’ve always wanted to try the Jo Malone fragrance but was scared to spend so much! But going off your descriptions I think I know which ones I really want to try. Thanks for your great recommendations! ❤️❤️❤️
I want to try that one really bad but it’s hard to believe spring will be here in 3 months! I’m torn on if I still try it or something like Beachwalk. Both are polarizing smells for people but people who don’t like fireplace say it’s hard to be in the same room when they smell it on someone.
I enjoy wearing Chanel Allure in the autumn and winter. I especially like it when I've draped myself in a cashmere sweater and sat down with a good book to sip chai. To me, it has a refined warmth---not a juvenile vanilla, or a cloying sugar cookie scent, but a grown up sophistication that is still comfortable and inviting.
Fun video! My favorites are D&G Light Blue, Jo Malone Blush Suede and Peony, and Chanel Allure and Madmoiselle. Been looking for a new fragrance and this gave me some ideas! I tried 540 in a sample and did not love it. Just goes to show that fragrance is very personal as you said. As a tip there are a couple of places online where you can order samples of fragrances to try something out before spending big bucks.
I love replica lazy Sunday morning and Marc Jacobs Daisy. Daisy is a classic that I’ve loved for years. Nest Citrine and Jo Malone Mandarin and Honey are both amazing as well
A fantastic video. Thank you Stephanie! Have you ever tried Aqua di Parma perfumes..oh my, they're stunning. The Oud and Colonia scents are amazing. They do a blue collection and the smells remind me of Italy. Take care xx
My favorite is: V+R Flowerbomb *Nectar!!!* OMG It's SO unique+I've Never EVER received as many compliments as when I wear this. Just by looking at the notes it doesn't seem like it would be good, Gunpowder?!?!?, but you need to try it on your skin!!! Absolutely Beautiful and Amazing smelling!!!
I have so many of these perfumes!! I also love Lancôme Idole, Gucci Guilty, Glossier You, and CK2 (discontinued). My newest is Vanilla Bourbon by Mixbar! So good! Smells expensive but it’s at Target!
I am fragrance challenged (allergic to orange/mandarin/orange blossom and grapefruit prevalent in SO many fragrances). I’m also allergic to tuberose (found out it’s related to my worst food allergy - allium : onion, garlic, chives, etc). However, I recently discovered Lake & Skye 11:11 and LOVE it. It’s so clean and soft, just wish it were slightly stronger/lasted longer. I’ve recently discovered I really like vetiver and some of the notes in some you shared and may have to check some of them out!
Oh I just love fragrance collection videos! Delina is my favorite! I absolutely love it! Chloe has been signature scent for years and still love, but I think Delina has topped it since discovering it. Big fan of Nest Dahlia and Vines as well. My most recent discovery is Aerin Rose de Grasse so I'm thinking I may gift myself that for Christmas😉
Where I work (Washington, DC) everyone wears Baccarat Rouge. EVERYONE! You cannot go into an office restroom and not smell it. It's become ubiquitous, like La Vie est Belle, Flowerbomb, J'adore, Chanel Mademoiselle, Opium...Same thing if you go to Dubai--airport, coffee house, streets, everywhere. You call for car service and bam! A cloud of BR 540 and Aventus left over by the last passengers. What a shame!
I've started a collection of hair fragrance mists. Some of them especially Chanel smells AMAZING and totally not that "old lady" smell. The Tocca mists are my faves so far. I highly recommend checking those out😊 Great info about Jo Malone btw !
@@michelleclark8099 I bought the classic Chanel and kept my fingers crossed and its wonderful.. very light and not old lady at all😂 But there is another called CHANCE EAU TENDRE that I haven't tried yet but its definitely on my purchase list ! If you do get it let me know😊
@@kamibeckmann196 I never smelled Delina and I am on lockdown and buying samples is getting expensive, with nothing to show for it. Not even to give away or trade. So, I just bought the Delina body cream at 7.05 ounce on E B A Y. It cost me nearly $80 with tax. It should arrive any day. I am so nervous. I saw a Delina hair mist, as well! At least I have something to show for spending the money. I am done with buying that minuscule decanter and paying tax and shipping for practically nothing. I bought a sample of Very Good Girl, and there was practically no juice in the vial. Unbelievable.
Great video! I love Mon Guerlain EDP and YSL Libre EDP, both often described as lavender vanillas. Do I need both? Probably not. Am I glad I have both? You bet!
I love Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. I love what I call “grown sweet” fragrances and spicy/unisex scents. Pomegranate Noir layered with Wood Sage & Sea Salt bath and body products is 👌🏽. In 2022, I want to invest in some Tom Ford and Guerlain scents.
Thanks for sharing so many interesting parfums! I added a few to my to try list, what a danger :-) I am addicted to the Jo Malone mimosa and cardamom. Some of my favourites are also Bulgary White tea, Ebony Wood from Zara and Pure Poison from Dior
I love hearing about people's perfume collections. I have more sweet perfumes, but I have Pinrose Secret Genius and a bunch by Replica including Beach Walk. Have you tried Jazz Club? I was surprised at that one because it smells a little masculine, but I love it.
Have you tried My Way Intense? I loved Michale back in the day and My Way Intense sort of reminds me of it- it’s also a tuberose but better done imo. So good! Great video!
We have so many scents in common! I enjoy Tocca Florence when I want that tuberose/gardenia vibe. I just picked up Atelier Clementine California and it’s really nice and fresh. Mugler Alien is my evening scent- Always gets compliments!
Hello Stephanie I bought the Giorgio Armani Aqua di Gioro and absolutely love the scent. I am having a challenging time trying to make the scent last for more than one hour. It seems as if I spray it all over and include my hair and it just doesn’t last long. How do you get it to have more staying power?
I loved this video even though I truly don't need one more perfume I'm sure I will be buying at least one or two you mentioned. A friend of mine started me on this perfume it is Jessica Simpson Fancy Love. What does it smell like? I'm not sure. When I wear it people always ask me what I'm wearing.
Thanks Stephanie for sharing your collection. You describe the scents very well. I always stumble and trip over my words trying to describe perfume. I am looking to replace my classic I have worn for years but they have re-formulated it and doesn't quite smell the same sadly. Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season🕊️
Bombshell Seduction is the version of Bombshell I love the most. I also love/ have several others you mentioned so I would guess our likes in scents is similar.
A lot of niche perfumes are quietly/secretly formulas of older perfumes, being used for this generation. Is that honest? No. But, some still smell good.
Wow! Chanel Allure!!!!! I wore that years ago and loved it so much. Typically I’m a fruity floral girl and this is definitely not that! But it is so beautiful, warm, and….yes, alluring (as in sexy as hell!!!!). I never hear anyone talk about this fragrance and it has become a tad hard to find. Was surprised and happy this was one of your pics.
I am soooooo picky with scents. I only like vanilla, coconut or fruity. I despise floral. I use to like laundry/soap scents but not so much anymore. It’s so weird I seem to dislike the scents that the majority like. The two that stand out are Flowerbomb and Angel 🤮🤮 way too much for me. OMG I absolutely LOVE CSP fragrances!! The vanille apricot is so delicious. My absolute favorite is the vanille extreme.
Narciso for Her, was off putting at first, after 1 hour, I really liked the smell. However, it takes too long to my enjoyment. I missed the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Azur on your collection. I bought it by your recommendation and I love it during Spring and Summer. My favorite perfume at the moment is Juliette has a Gun Pear Inc.
A video for my fragrance collection would only be about four minutes long. 😆 I only own Armani Aqua di Gioia, D&G The Only One, D&G Garden, and I just repurchased D&G Light Blue.
You are wise to keep your collection small - they start to change after 5.years, and they never change for the better...some of the notes will fade, others will oxidize and start to smell off.
From Parfums de Marly, I could not get used to Delina because of that sharp rhubarb note, but I ADORE Safanad. Warning: it's only for lovers of traditional perfumery ingredients: Orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, petitgrain, amber, sandalwood, vanilla...it is expensive and smells expensive. It lasts all day on me.
Do you have a lemon or grapefruit fragrance suggestion? I love L’Occitane verbena but it doesn’t have any staying power. I don’t like anything with a unisex description.
Jo Malone's Grapefruit scent is terrific, though also not very long lasting. I also like Bvlgari's Eau Parfumee Au The Vert. It's green, sophisticated and citrusy. The original bottle I bought maybe 10 years ago was shorter , and the scent was more intense than the more commonly stocked tall cologne bottles. Both are pleasant, but I preferred the scent and lasting power of the more perfum-y (eau de parfum?) version. Annick Goutal's Eau d'Hadrien might be up your alley. Ditto for Un Jardin Sur le Nil by Hermes. Maybe you'll find others to recommend to us!
Some are missing. I despise No 5. Smells like s cranky old lady to me. I do not know why, either. I used to wear only one a Chanel, a long time ago. It was very cold. I do not like warm perfumed. I think it was Cristalle? Or 19? Or maybe 22? I wish I could find it again. It was as cold as steel. 😂
@@michelleclark8099 I'm not a fan of Channel 5 either. The only one I've ever liked was the 22 but I can't find it anywhere. I even watch eBay for it! I was lucky enough that my husband found a tiny sample bottle in an antique store 10 years ago. I only wear a super small amount on our wedding anniversary. I told him when it's gone it's divorce time! LoL. We are pushing 30 year's, but he's still looking, bless his heart!
I like Carolina Herrera Good Girl for its warm sultry vibe. But unlike most, I simply hate the cheeky bottle. Stiletto shoes belong in my closet not on my perfume table. I wish it came in a classy glass bottle.
If you like Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot, you might like Van Cleef and Arpels' "Orchidee Vanille" (soft, cozy, pretty) and Guerlain's Spiritueuse Double Vanille (heady, sexy, boozy).
