That is the same experience I've dealt with in my bowling career. I'd get a, "so, who drilled this? Yeah, whoever measured you, they were off. The pin placement is incorrect, too.". Lol
Most of the Pro Shops in my area didn't know much about fitting and drilling bowling balls. My husband bought me drilling equipment, scales pitch gauges and all. I now don't have messed up fingers that don't bend. Took a lot of time figuring out the right pitches. Best thinking my husband did for us.
Love both the new balls drilled; Peak and Star but advice - add surface to the Peak because out of the box finish the ball goes long and sharp on the backend; with surface the ball becomes waaay more usable on all conditions 🎉
Wow thats where i started bowling back 1985. Worked as a manager when its Brunswick back in 2000. That league that bowls there has been there for over 40 years and always has waiting list to join it. Love watching your channel.
Looking good with those curls girl. 😉 The drill bit for the switch grip thumb hole comes at a set depth or so I thought and I know why pro shops change that depth but then it creates more problems for the tournament bowler who travels. Seems all pro shops change these depths. I could be speaking out of my rear but something I’ve noticed.
Congratulations Sarah on eagle in Reno. I hope at least you didnt have the ball you bowled 803 in Reno redrilled. I would never change equipment i shot honor scores with just in case this pro shop guy may be wrong. Obviously you had no problems scoring so it couldn't have been that bad. Good luck on your tournaments in Vegas, any chance you may sub in open championships in Vegas while you are there?
Ef, that. I drill my own stuff. I thought you drill your stuff when you were at Wichita? Since you down in south California go to Porto’s Cuban bakery and get some potato balls and Dulce de leche cookies. It is something to try and see if it’s your thing
Been watching IF world youth Championships, thinking isn't Sarah young enough to represent Canada or am I wrong ! PSO for over 10 yrs so yes things can be done wrong but at times pitches and spans can be altered as you grow older, doesn't mean they were wrong to begin with. I certainly changed my over time.
I only have one guy drill my bowling balls and he has the measurements on file. At my age my measurements don't change but you should really get them checked every couple of years.
Most of that equipment is newer and probably after Sarah graduated. Since most pro shops don't drill balls in front of us these days, I would recommend double check everything yourself before leaving or have the PSO do it in front of you. At least the spans and pitches. Mine doesn't get offended.
@@TheSarahKlassenChannel no problem Sarah. Glad to "see" they sorted it out. I "learned" this the same way you did while coaching HS bowling 10 years ago, and my bowler's equipment were "all over the place." 😂
@@TheSarahKlassenChannel ?!?! How do you resist all of the new equipment that comes out? I feel like I need to block anything bowling related on RU-vid, as well as Bowlersmart before they drive me bankrupt! 😂
LOL!! Welcome to the ironically named Inland Empire in Southern California! Haven City Market has excellent dinner food, especially the "healthy" restaurants. Do you like when your fans come to watch you bowl in person? If so, then 1/ Where are you bowling tonight? (July 12, 2024) Are you subbing just to keep yourself in tune? and 2/ Are you planning to bowl the Riverside Tournament July 14, 2024 at Arlington Lanes? From what I've seen on line, it's a little $50 four game handicap tournament, but it's competitive experience etc. etc. In any case, good luck with your tour, and thank you for sharing your journey with us!
@@Axispoint.proshop Wow!!!! I had no idea! Haven City Market was named after Haven Ave in Ontario CA. I wonder why they called it Haven City in West Covina? They should have named it Glendora City Market or Francisquito City Market. Well, I'm not as local as I thought I was.
I was disappointed that you and Sierra could not sign my merch. but okay... you have family near Tampa right? I am in Orlando so the next time you are in the area, let me know when and I will meet you at whatever house you are bowling at so you can sign my shirt!! I only want 4 autographs, Yours and Serria and Michael Jordans and #22 Caitlin Clark 💯
My favorite question i ask, whenever anyone tells me how I should be bowling is... Their house league average, PBA league experience average, tournament series average (without handicap), all-around series... If they cannot answer, at least four, of those questions, with a verifiable answer, I will not let them touch my balls. Because, if they were any good, they will never tell someone else how they should drill someone else's ball...
