I normally shy away from commenting on appearance, but I was struck by seeing your hair back in your trusty clip. It feels like a small milestone and it made me smile. My husband, who transitioned to remote work during COVID and will not be going back to the office, has slowly evolved his own "end of workday" rituals that help him unplug, including a Zwift "commute." Having just graduated from a month without a kitchen, I am in sympathy here. I too enjoyed the glamor of doing dishes in the bathroom sink, and microwaving everything. The walls in my place are masonry, so the grit and dust was phenomenal, and so abrasive. The nightly sweep or vacuum became a drag after a month but there was no way to avoid it. And now, when I see my kitchen every morning, it's a joyful thing. I do not take my kitchen sink for granted any more. In fact, I clean it carefully every night and am delighted to see it every morning.

We just redid our kitchen. A video version is so much less chaotic than the reality! The noise, the mess, the dust, the dishes, the food prep, and the timeline are all individual stressers. Seeing your video reminded me of washing dishes in the bathroom while my kitchen was being renovated! I had microwave, toaster, kettle, tea and coffee things, a few plates, bowls, cutlery and mugs lined up on the dining table and the fridge freezer beside it. It took some planning before the workmen arrived and I had to be super organised all day long - not something I feel like repeating ever again but the new kitchen has been worth it! I sympathise with you Benita.

@@BenitaLarsson Microwaves are extremely handy. I recently added the tiniest toaster oven to my small appliances. It's made it so I can have proper toast (I don't own a toaster) without having a single-use appliance.

I bought a house last year, we are still in the middle of renovating, it drives me crazy to live in the middle of mess and dust. I try to keep the bedroom tidy, I put back on the wall a decor item I bought when I lived in Stockholm a few years back. It's from Gamla Stan, I loved walking there every weekend after the week of work. Your videos remain me of my time in Sweden, I love it 🥰

Hi Benita. How are you? I really enjoyed this video, well worth the two weeks wait! I love your loving relationship with Bonus. I used to have cats when I was younger and one of them, called Kicsi (hungarian for little one) was so much like Bonus, his love was so unconditional. After twenty years, I still miss him! I love how you swap slippers to keep your other rooms clean, it’s something I would do. Can’t wait to see the new kitchen. I miss your old apartment but this one is growing on me, especially as you add your personal touches to it. Love your channel❤️❤️❤️ We bought a litter box that has an opening on the top instead of the side. And also buy silica litter. We hardly have any litter outside the litter box. Plus, the box is oval and cream in color😀 So easy to clean, and no cleanup around the box.

Having moved twice in two years and having also dealt with my parents estate and the pandemic during that time I have been inspired by your calm, minimal approach. I hope to follow your tips for my new home (although I fear I’m more of a maximalist)! I’m really looking forward to seeing the newly renovated kitchen. Thank you for sharing your life under the construction site which I definitely know is a challenge, especially with a cat…. I had the same two years ago🫣but afterwards you will feel happy, I am sure of that. Looking forward to the reveal! Glad to see Bonus thriving, but I am sorry about Mini. It's always hard to lose a pet. As an American, I completely understand the preference for ice in drinks. The colder the better. I even throw ice in my water bottle before heading outside in -10 degree F weather... my husband just rolls his eyes.

I'm surprised you didn't take a bath after all of those activities, but then I remembered, you live in a cold climate. Considering how tropical my climate is, I wouldn't be able to sleep without taking a bath because I'll be sweating like crazy during the day.. Anyway, thank you for the video. It inspires me to take care of myself even if there's a huge change in my life. I'll come back again to this video if things are overwhelming in my life. This is very calming.
