+Indigo Lash This is hilarious. While I think nobody here was being a bad person, Tyler starts e-peen stroking over how much of a "real" artist he is, with important things to be heard in his video. If I had to pick one to call egotistical, it wouldn't be Richie.
seigeengine definitely everyone needs to be working on this by talking about not posting it to the internet I love all these people but there being completely over-the-top with all this.
I'm disgusted by the way that GROWN ADULTS are arguing over social media. Like ffs everyone needs to grow a set of balls and stop acting like little children.
Alex actually told someone, the old members have been dropping hints and every channel joining is on Brian's channel (except for Bobby - apparently he's not).
+Erin Patanella thank you for agreeing with me . But literally it's as if saying you have to wear a get up that you don't want to wear to just fit in with everybody . You shouldn't have to be forced to fit in with everyone
Yes. But when they asked to not show up in his costume and not bring his girlfriend and then he shows up like that. Then almost the whole crowd yelled RICHIE! Tyler was kinda pissed because he said he wouldn't
Now who wouldn't? I would flip the fuck out if someone said something like that to me. Probably end up fighting. What kind of friends would do that? Enemies I'm sure but not friends!
I'm sorry but if you had been asked to dress down slightly then you should respect the decision that your friends have made. I have nothing against the way you dress and I think it's wonderful that you can be comfortable wearing your outfit but it does stand out and there was no way you couldn't have attracted attention. MDE spent loads of time preparing for these shows and I feel like the focus was drawn away from this one significantly, probably making them feel pretty shitty.
If the attention of the crowd can be drawn away because of someone that's dressed uniquely then obviously the content of the show isn't as eye catching and as interesting as the hosts of the show believe
Richie was just trying to support his fans and his best friends and Everyone got mad at him just for trying to help and trying to go to an event. He may be a famous youtuber but Richie's right, Nobody should tell him how to dress, If he wants to go in the venue with his makeup and stuff on let him, yes there may be fans, But is it better to ignore your fans and Have them be mad at you for ignoring them or let him make his fans happy? Yes it did make tyler uncomfortable but thats what fans do, If they see another person they've always wanted to meet and they see them, That means they're gonna wanna come up to them and meet them, I know that They paid for the MDE TOUR But Richie was just trying to tell them that even if he is a famous youtuber wearing a outfit that pops out doesn't mean that he was trying to get attention that means that he wants to be himself and he doesnt want to change for other people. . . . . ONE LITTLE RANT~ Pleas do not post dramatic things like this for your fans to stress about, there are many other sides of this story and I can't choose who's side I'm on and I don't wanna pick a side so I think that you AND tyler should both delete your videos about this and keep the rest of the problem confidental between you and MDE. Who agrees?
did you see Tyler's video??? he walked in the middle of Tyler's set....yes I think it was wrong of Tyler to get mad but then again Richie is at fault too. it was fine if he went dressed up as Social Repose. but walking in during THE MIDDLE OF SOMEONE'S SET is not okay...anyone would get upset. If it was Shannon, or Johnnie, or Bryan or even Richie they would have gotten mad. Both are at fault...not just Tyler
sorry i didnt read full thing but i did notice the fact about him dressing how he wants. i totally agree, but there is a time and place because it was requested for the sake of being not noticed
+Hellish He wasn't interrupting. He was trying to go and see a show. If you decided to go to a show the same happened to you, you really wouldn't say that. He went as Social Repose because that's his identity, an you can't change your identity to go and support frens.
Shouldn't problems be kept out of the internet? I just think that since hate is going up on Twitter and RU-vid that they should stop and think it thoroughly.
Exactly it's causing more drama and my digital escape lost so many subscribers last night and if they would have kept it private it wouldn't be as bad of a problem
Tyler said tht to u during show because he was singing a very special song and half of his crowd look to u and start screaming for u. It may be unaccebltable for u to dress down, dont go then. Its their tour and tyler said sorry to u. U nvr did. People r prob gonna argue with me but i dont care. U shouldnt have said tht on younow in the first place and then this all wouldnt have started. Man up; apologize to MDE and tyler; and become best friends again. He said u could even text him... So y wont you?
Yeah, I get what Tyler's saying. Richie may feel comfortable dressing this way, but it's a distraction and Richie probably knew that would happen. I love Richie, but as Tyler said, there's more rules for Internet personalities. Richie should've respected that.
you do know that when Richie said "fuck you" on younow, it wasn't directed at Tyler but at the people who were only watching because he was crying.. you also forgot to mention that Richie was drunk.
"this show is about the people on the stage not about people walking in in costumes" "you're not allowed to take photos in front of the bus" this is some stupid shit and Richie has the absolute right to be pissed off, people should get over themselves
"I attended this tour to see my fans " it's not your show you weren't supposed to go and be like hey everyone come get photos with me I understand you were kind enough to be like later but you should have of said no I'm sorry maybe when I go on tour
people need to stop getting so offended or mad it's his video he wanted to make it he was treated poorly and he can dress however he wants stop getting angry with him it's what he felt he wanted to say something about it
+Karma Shadows I heard it, and I listened to this one. But if his band was so good, he wouldn't have had to worry about people looking at someone else. Sounds like a narcissistic thing to complain about.
+Tedi Vyshka Goth was actually a type of sub culture. There is music generes for both emo and goth and there are people for it. Emo was a type of punk and goth was a form of industrial metal.
It's funny how MDE supposedly based their channel on telling young people that it's okay to be different and now some of them act like this...I don't know if the cause of their break up was the hate they received for this, but honestly I'm glad they're not together now...they weren't a real family anymore
It's funny to me how Richie bases his channel around not bullying people, but then he goes and bullies tons of other RU-vidrs and social media figures. He's ALWAYS trying to start some kind of drama. If you watch Dakotawint's video talking about this event and Tyler's (Sounds Like Harmony) talking about this event, Richie was being an asshole and making a scene after he promised he wouldn't. I used to be a fan, but then I started seeing how he treats people on Twitter, on Instagram, on YouNow, and in real life, and he is NOT a nice person. I refuse to support him anymore. EDIT: Dakota's video is called "My Issue with Social Repose" and Tyler's is "Why You Shouldn't Hate Me" in case anyone asks.
+Galaxy Kitten Before Kyle claimed that it was management, it was because Richie did not want MDE to seem like a bad bunch of people. Just that there a couple who disrespected him.
Exactly, they really really didn't want to be there, Richie probably didn't know that... Still I hope they're still friends and that he doesn't go through with mde 2.0
I never liked mde Just seemed like a lot of children that need to grow up and get out of their scene phase And Bryan needs to stop trying to hang out with teenagers it's creepy I'm not really a big fan of social repose but I don't think he deserved the childish comment made at the show and backlash If they can't handle fans liking them AND social repose then they need to just quit
So. He can show up however he wants. If you're worried about it, be more entertaining. You might just suck if a guy can show up and steal the spotlight.
I don't know what side I am on, I just finished watching Tyler's video and I was on his side. But now that I have watched Richie's video I don't know what to think.
This shouldn't be about sides. You can't just "pick a side" that's what wrong with all this drama now. Fans look up to RU-vidrs like Social Repose and MDE, and drama like this divides them. You don't have to pick a side because it's truthfully no ones business. Tyler's hurt, Richie is mad and the people involved feel a certain type of way. Bringing it up on social media has allowed it to sky rocket out of control because lots of people take sides of stories that doesn't involve them. Just get over the drama and start with a clean slate. We're all humans, and everyone makes mistakes. I don't know if Tyler or Riche will read or even see this but I hope they do. Everyone just be friends again or learn how to coexist with each other for the sake for thier fans, etc.. I really hope this dies down soon enough. 💕
Richie, you should have waited and you shouldn't have walked in during Tyler's set. That was honestly disrespectful. You could have at least had some common curtsey. People paid to see MDE and Tyler. Sorry but it's the truth.
He attacked Tyler online. Tyler asked him simply to come as himself and not his internet persona because it would take away from the performers on stage. The fans paid to see them. He took away from the show... I realize that was not his intention but MDE has a right to be angry. They asked him simply to do the right thing and he did not, then runs to social media to retaliate and cause more drama with this video. Just grow up. Tyler is right. This is stupid high school drama
It's so ironic how they thought/wanted you to wear "normal" clothes while they're wearing "emo" clothes. like, emo-styled people are always judged by how they look yet they're doing the same to Richie wtf. I know this video is old bit that's messed up, honestly.
Richie it's not you its billie. she's just a drama wore look at all the bs that has followed that chick. you should probably filter her out of your life seriously. buy keep up your awsome work man
he sounds like the emos from south park calling everyone a bunch of conformists, dude, you knew exactly what you were doing when you dressed up, you knew the power you had, you're 100% at fault for being disrespectful.
I see some comments that are complete shit Richie is trying to be nice and do what they tell him. They acted as if he was completely disrespectful and rude,in which he wasn't. He did what they told him to.
Plus Tyler put more attention on Richie by pointing him out as Richie had said he went there to see his friends and was insulted by MDE because of how he dressed.Tyler put attention on Richie.
The Kawaii Dino \/ oh really I didn't know you were there? Lol stop talking about things like they're facts when no one knows the real truth besides them
sappiredark seeing how rude the "original" member are, I don't give a fuck about their feeling. I did at first, but now seeing that they are not as nice as they make you think they are, it's obvious that we are being fooled. They want attention. They want respect and sympathy when they don't give it to anybody else.
I used to like MDE I even met some of the group, but they changed over time I feel like they are trying to hard. I actually started to hate them because of the way they were acting. Now this story just shows the their true colors
the only reason they kept you "isolated" was because, you are a well known RU-vidr, not because you were different although it would make sense that you would not allowed in because, it wasn't your show and maybe you do go to other shows dressed like that but, the fact that you were on MDE previously people are more likely to recognize you.
I'm not trying to be hateful but I don't think it was okay on Richie's part to come all dressed up. Sure, he can dress however he wants in general but it was still MDE's tour, the spotlight was supposed to be on them, and even if he wasn't trying to steal the spotlight (which I believe) if you're a famous youtuber that IS going to happen. On the other hand, I think MDE caused unnecessary drama on social media... if you have problems deal with them face to face.
I know this is years later but maybe that allows for more clarity. But if they want tou to be a part of this particular show, what is the problem with it? It may draw more people to the show in general. More people will show up period.
Richie, I think it's amazing that you are comfortable in the way you dress. But what I have taken from both sides is that, MDE and Tyler had requested you not show up in full "costume". But the least you could of done is maybe take a few things off? Not bringing any hate at all, I still love you and everyone associated with this issue. I don't think resolving this issue over the Internet is a bright idea. Yes you did confront Tyler about his tweets, but he apologized, you did not. I think both sides should apologize. Also, if someone plays to be at a show, they should give all god given attention to the entertainer. It's fine to be dressed different than everyone else. But don't take attention away. Richie, you being a performer, if someone walked in with a "costume" and being known for that walks in and some of the crowd starts taking off their way, that would probably make you upset. So it's okay to be different and not like everyone else. Once again no hate towards anyone in this😘
You handled this situation so overwhelmingly well. Good on you. Seems wildly disrespectful that you were kicked out for just being a human with an internet following, especially since you were friends.
pause: you said there was unnecessary hostility but you got real hostile at the end of this video and it wasn't your show to see your fans that being said everyone's egos need to be crushed tbch
You're basically the Kanye in this situation. And it's not a compliment. It's not even about how you look, JFC. It's just about being considerate and respectful. It's not your show, so why would you even draw attention to yourself. Take celebrities for example. Singers will go to other singers' concerts, but they won't make it a big deal. They're not going to dress like they would on stage to go to someone else's concert. They lay low because they want to have a good time and show support. I really thought you were down to earth, but I would have been just as mad as Tyler. It takes a lot of time, planning, dedication, and hard work to pull off a tour and travel every day visiting different cities in different states, and for someone to kind of just pop up and almost invalidate what they did because their fans-who paid for tickets to see them by the way-decide to get starstruck and pay attention to someone who isn't even a part of what is happening on stage is horrible. The way Tyler handled it wasn't very professional, but you showing up in your attire wasn't respectful to who they are as professionals.
Ritchie, I hate to say it, I'm not choosing sides either, but if your friends ask you to do something you should do it. And I agree with you what Tyler said might've been a little harsher than what it should've been, but you've got to admit, if someone interrupted one of your shows you'd be pissed too.
Richie I get where you're coming from when you don't wanna dress down because it's YOU. But honestly. You can't argue that you DO stand out. By quite a margin. Asking you to dress normally shouldn't be that big of a deal, and I mean it is THEIR show. I would be pissed too if I was performing and someone in the audience was turning heads and taking the attention away from me because it would be MY show that I've worked hard on and the fans would've paid money to see me. Having your spotlight taken away can hurt and make the performers feel like they're failing to entertain. You should've put your friends first over yourself and dressed down like they asked. It was THEIR show, not yours. You're right, some egos need to be checked and crushed...but maybe it's not who you think.
Richy is right it wasn't his outfit it was his RU-vid fame, if he wasn't famous no one would care, and he shouldn't need to change who he is in order to support his friends.
"To tell me to not dress in my regular outfit and conform to a regular person to blend in the crowd so I don't steal your attention is unacceptable to me" wtf. I understand that you feel most comfortable fully dressed up in your outfit, but that's not your show. You were aware that walking into the show in full outfit will cause the crowd to focus on you, not the performer, yet you did anyways. You should have at least tried to somewhat blend into the crowd so that fans don't start paying more attention on you. That's their show, their performance, and their attention, and they deserve it. Those fans payed to go see MDE perform so they deserve to see the show without any disruptions as well. Tyler had the right to say and tweet whatever he wanted because it was his performance that was interrupted. Instead of being upset at something that was your fault and trying to act like the victim, you should be apologizing.
He put it back up because people were getting confused and leaning towards Tyler's side cause he was crying about stupid shit In a RU-vid video. Richies not just gonna let him sit there and sugar coat everything.
+Madi Boggs For him to put the video back up shows that his so called "stopping the drama" was a bullshit lie. He lied in this video about stopping the argument just like how he lied in his you now video last night about wanting all of this to be behind him and for him to just move on.... well moving on requires a person to just move on. That doesn't mean to go back and post the video that you took down because your feelings were hurt or you wanted to get the last word. I'm disapointed, I really enjoyed this channel. It's all a fucking joke. Whatever on to the next one.
+Amanda Hojnacki you shouldn't hate on youtuber just because of drama and how they handled it...even if they handled it wrong...thats kinda being childish...i mean respect that maybe you might not like his videos or how he handles situations but I think all of this is a big misunderstanding on both parts and I think you should just forget about the drama and move on like everyone else is
Kyle and shannon asked you to move away from the bus because they were trying to get in and out and pack stuff up and you were attracting a large crowd around the bus making it hard for them do so. They didn't say you couldn't be there and talk to fans they simply asked you to move a bit further because the crowd was blocking the way. Don't make people seem bad because they hurt your feelings.
I don't even know who/what to believe anymore. But honestly what the fans think doesn't matter. I love all of MDE, i love Tyler, and i love Social Repose. I think you all need to get together and talk, maturally, and respectivly. You guys are going to get no where if u keep posting things online. If you guys haven't noticed, you all have the same fans, and you're making your fans upset. Make up and drop it, or stop talking to each other.
MDE teaches people that it's fine to be different. Apparently that only applies until it's the wrong kind of different. (No hate to MDE, I love Alex and Johnnie)
Tyler Cygnel you're a fucking idiot 🙄 they don't think the way he dresses is "weird" or embarrassing and they don't judge him for it..they just didn't want him to be a distraction from them
I love you Richie but i think you knew that you were going to cause problems and you took the chance to because u have something against Tyler. You know that Tyler doesn't like Ayella (don't know how to spell sorry) yet you still brought her which suggests you were trying to cause a problem and trying to create new drama which you succeeded in doing. And then you go an post this video, causing even more drama which is pretty childish...You're all fully grown adults and shouldn't take to the social media to have a pop at one another, speak it out face to face! lmao im 15 and even i know better
he posted this video to express his thoughts and feelings just like how tyler tweeted on twitter. and why would you think hes trying to cause a scene when he himself said that he assumes they were friends? and actually he mention that they did actually talk face to face.
Its unacceptable for people to be upset at me walking into someone's event that I am not participating in, wearing an outfit designed to call attention to myself, saying what its not my fault that people noticed me, I wasn't accepting that to happen, I did nothing wrong. If he was preforming and idk a really popular band or someone walked into his concert or event wearing a glowing sign that says look at me or an outfit that made them very recognizable and called attention to themselves being there , would he find that to be acceptable?
cooperation and a hand out to someone for support lifts us ALL up, and the opposite diminishes us all - they are young and that is why they reacted in that disgusting fashion - they should have been so happy to have you there. peace.
+Michael Hawley 1) I go commando quite often so .... It's not that hard . 2) your argument about wearing underwear is honestly a terrible comparison and I would explain why but honestly I don't care at this point .... ....ps a lot more people go commando than you think ;)
dude, you handled this ridiculously well. like, good for you for staying so calm and collected. you didn't say anything bad about them at all. I'm so proud of you. most people would've been dissing MDE and making them seem like bad people. you started the video off by saying how awesome they are. you are truly an amazing person.
I really enjoy the fact that despite the fact that this is who he is,and he came to see his friends, fans of MDE will continuously bash Richie for being different.
my problem with this is that the guy on stage said "costume" as if he was mocking him and trying to humiliate him on purpose. you would think he knew how it felt to be attacked for dressing in a way that makes you feel happy and comfortable in your own skin.
it is a costume! eho the fuck wears 60 lbs of clothes to feel comfortable. he is not happy on the inside so he tries to cover it up on the outside. he needs professional help not a bunch of ass lickers telling him he is a special butterfly (in this case moth)
1) mde fans are usually fans of you. what did you expect to happen? You dress wildly. Yes, youre more comfortable in it but that doesn't matter at times like this. mde put a lot of effort into their tour and you showing up all emo moth like, you're going to turn some heads. 2) you came there to see your friends great. you should not have gone there to see your fans. With all the time and effort these guys put into the show, the last thing they need is for you to mooch off their work. If anyone's ego needs to be checked and crushed, it's yours.
