A lot of great information provided here. I was planning to try this combination out and now I'm ready to pull the trigger. Thanks for putting together such an informative video.

Thanks for taking the effort to make this, there certainly is a dearth of information on this setup.

@@ParaMoto_ADV absolutely. Just got back from my inaugural ride with ear plugs and conducting headphones. Worked great, but of course had to increase the volume while going at highway speed. Definitely the only way to ride!

@@michaelrichard6599 Oh awesome! It really is a big improvement. I don't think I've ever had to turn the volume up all the way, even on the freeway. Glad you had a good experience with it! Ride on dude

Thanks very much for this. I've been considering trying some conduction headsets: this video is very helpful. Hopefully, some manufacturer will produce a pair of these without the solid plastic piece that passes behind and around the back of the head -- replacing it with an elasticated strap or something that would fit even more seamlessly under a helmet. Hmmm... or maybe I could fabricate this myself.

That would be awesome. Hopefully as the technology progresses we will see something like that.

Are you placing the conductors directly onto your earplugs? Many people do not know that the sound conducts perfectly thru foam earplugs

Thanks man. I've been looking for a solution like this.

For the intercom, im thinking buying two sets. Your pillion will connect the other to her phone and there's an app for phone to phone comms without using data or internet.

That's a great idea! Do you know the name of the app?

My motorbike is very loud. So I need to wear earplugs. Today I have seen in a shop these type of headphone and I was wondering if it works. Now I know 🙂. Thanks very much!

I met an old man, in great health. 86 and rode all his life. Deaf, though. I rode 5 hours straight without earplugs, all 60 mph plus when i got my new bike. Tinnitus now. Don't be me! Definitely getting me some shox,. Heads up audio nav FTW!

Just saw your review. I tried using the Aftershokz Aeropex but the multifunction button at the left side randomly engages as it’s pushing against the side of the helmet. This keeps stopping and starting music. Wish their was a way of disabling this button then it would be perfect.

Really useful info. Thanks so much. When you use the open ear headphone with the ear plug, can you still hear honking sound and other vehicles' engine? And using the ear plug, how is it different than using normal earphone? Thanks!

Yes, I feel like I can still hear the sounds of the road without any issue. The ear plugs mostly block the wind noise, so you can turn the volume of everything else down to get better audio without damaging your hearing.

Cool.. I was thinking about doing the same thing.. Now just have to decide on the best ones that are slim... Also wondering on how it would be to talk on the phone if your riding along..lol
@ParaMoto_ADV
@ParaMoto_ADV 2 года назад
I haven't had a good experience trying to use them for phone conversation. I think the mic gets pressed between the helmet padding and your face so it doesn't seem to pick up when I talk very well.

This was my question as well. How would I receive/make calls with my Android? I like the idea of bone conduction with the foam ear plugs, but I need the ability to make/receive calls for safety reasons when riding alone.
