Have you tried Primo Ramdisk and PrimoCache? They'll give a great performance, if you have got a lot of spare RAM space.

Good luck with it Derek. Future proofing seems to be the issue these days. You mention that you do not use Lightroom which is fine, but as an example the new Denoise capability requires a whole suite of minimum requirement s with Windows particularly. On some other channels, some suggest in todays environment a computer as a life of 5 years. Sounds like you are going full guns blazing. I’m and Apple guy and live with a MacBook M1 Pro. Fingers crossed it last five years. Hopefully I will too 🤔
