I honestly think the whole "batch" craze is a bad sign on Creed's part... it's a sign of inconsistency. If you want to message me what you have or what not, I might be interested in buying something you have.
My girlfriend hates it too but I genuinely love it. Something about it does it for me. Don't care about batch codes and I have a lot of the replicas including parfums vintage but Aventus does it for me unlike anything else.
The white coloured ring/washer under the sprayer is the typical tell tale sign of a genuine bottle of Creed. It’s a quick way to determine authenticity of the bottle

How is this weird ? The maceration process + the batch variations are a valid reason for someone to ask about this. As a person selling fragrance you should expect these types of questions. Batch hysteria is too extreme, but being concerned on making sure the fragrance is authentic (under the sprayer) is totally understandable

I get it. I got the bug and dreamt of Aventus for 2 years and finally got a bottle before Christmas. Heavenly beam of light and everything. Right at the same time as 4 other guys at work did. It's gotten pretty generic around work actually, and not even because of clones! Everyone calls it "That Creed one we sold". The saddest part is that while I like it, it smells better on everyone else. Even my son wears it better. It's not a super batch so I can't flip it for a profit, so I dust it weekly and wear it monthly.
How does one sell their barely used frags?( many of mine have boxes in great condition) but our Canadian Post Office are putting such restrictions on selling liquid....any ideas ? I actually like Perfumer's Choice "Victor #9"" which costs about $15 it's much smoother and not smoky like Aventus!
I like Aventus quite a bit and have one of the “coveted” batches from its launch. I’ve smelled new bottles and the scent is very similar. Makes me think all of these people chasing certain batches are insane.
I dont think people are running after the smell. They all smell the same. People are running after the performance. The older batches before drastic ifra reformulations perform so much better
Bobby Bobson Every bottle I had. 3 from 2013-14 all left me short on performance. 2-3 hrs later and no one including myself could smell it most times. That was after 8+ pumps. I think it’s a skin issue or just very poor QA from Creed. Royal Oud on the other hand is great in all aspects.
@@alexmartinez280 I have a 2019 batch I bought from a grey seller (before I even knew anything about batches) and it’s a total beast. If I wear it to the office I have to go easy on the trigger or else I risk choking everyone out for the whole day. I also purchased a 2019 batch of GIT from the same source and it’s a total dud. The opening is great but even if a layer it on it’s completely gone from my skin after 2-3 hrs. Who knows how this sh** actually works?
Some people are just such a detail-oriented pain. I definitely prefer to deal with the people I know and have built trust with to avoid these kind of situations.

Sorry to hear about some of your experience. I had a time where I had bought too many bottles it became too much. God asked me one day to just give them all away, so I did. Surprisingly it felt pretty good. For that time in my life, I needed to allow God to fill the voids in me that I was trying to fill with buying more colognes. My heart really goes out to man. Now I just have some tiny samples of Creed. I don’t mind having one Parfum now to be the one I wear the rest of my life.
I like Aventus. I had three decants from different years. Put them all together in a quality atomizer bottle. Lo and behold it smells like Aventus. Just like my 2015 retail bottle that apparently sells for over $500 easy.
Wow, that's hard work! Aventus is a lovely scent, however people lose their minds over this fragrance, it's just perfume at the end of the day. There are so many other brands out there to try, so why would you want to smell like everyone else??? I love Aventus, and are roughly 30% throught my first bottle. Will buy a new one when it runs out, but don't care about the batch variations. In my opinion Creed are excellent at mixing uniqueness, quality and likeability ("mass appeal") in their fragrances and I currently own nine. I don't think many people get that Creed fragrances are marketed as "handmade", hence the "Millesime" (vintage) bit. Something in line with wine in that there will be slight variations from various years/batches. Whatever people think about it, my opinion is that you can't complain about batch variations when that's what they're selling.
I can understand why someone would ask for a batch code for any fragrance... First, it tells you if it's authentic or not and second, the date it was made (shelf life). Aside from that, IDGAF about batch Z01 or whatever. The fact that Creed is that inconsistent is a bad sign... atleast to me.
I have no specific fragrances im looking for at the momment either , i actually still have a few bottles i havent even wore or tried out yet so unless i fined a great deal on something im not planning on buying anything till i at least give this unopen packages a few proper wearings
I own it, and it's OK. Wouldn't buy it again. It is sort of a "blue" fragrance like BdC and Sauvage, probably closer to the latter in terms of when to wear it. It's nothing like Aventus though.
I'm sorta in the same boat. I probably have 5-15 bottles/decants I'd like to get rid of. However, the Hassel just doesn't seem worth it, after boxing and shipping costs....it's just not worth my time really.
What I can't understand is this unfailing loyalty to a fragrance by a company that doesn't respect its customers. Creed does a disservice to their customers by reformulating their products, straying from the original product (s) that garnered them customers in the first place. All for the bottom line. They've even tried to ride the coattails of the success of Aventus by releasing Aventus Cologne which smells nothing like its namesake. Don't get me wrong, they make fantastic frags very well blended but to try release weaker versions of their products or a version that becomes a skin scent within the hour is dishonest. There are better fragrances out there than this. Hope ppl reading this understand what I'm trying to convey, english is not my first language.😉
Thank you. Aventus really not that great. The prices for it are insane even from discounter websites. Bought a 30ml decant like you and the pineapple opening is nice but apart from that it falls flat after 2 hours or so. Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water and Himalaya are much much better and cheaper on discounters
I really like Aventus got a couple of bottles but that's my lot because there are clone oil's now that not only have the fruity smokey balance the way i like it but it lasts and i can smell it.
the cult of aventus is out of control for sure, and i imagine the batch code craziness started as poor quality control on creed's part, that they are now cynically leaning into to turn greater profits, as if their fragrances weren't wildly overpriced. i like aventus as a summer work fragrance, it's uplifting and not abrasive and it just smells damn good, but i would never pay the $4 or $5 per ml or whatever the hell the going rate is, and it is way, way overhyped. the general ethos surrounding it seems to be, "wear this so you can drop some panties," which of course narrows and cheapens the wearer's experience and is obnoxiously sexist. if you think you can't get laid without a fragrance then man, you're already lost.
Eau De Campagne is timeless, it could be released today and would look modern. As you said - you don't like people and you just want to be left alone and wear the perfume for yourself. I think that's the main difference between you(me too) and people that seeks compliments, recognition etc. There's extraverts and introverts, and they will never understand each other. They use perfumes for different reasons. That's why this Aventus phenomenon is so hard to understand for people like you or me. But it's OK, for each their own.
Regardless if its positive gushing or negative bashing, every single mention of the A-word is most likely a marketing PLUS point for Creed so...maybe we oughta just leave it alone? Thanks Eugene ✌🏼
I've always thought the craziness about aventus is beyond logic, I don't even bother with discontinued fragrances much less batch codes and stuff like that. It's a good fragrance but nothing remarkable in my opinion, from the house I do much prefer bois du portugal and royal water, the only 2 I really enjoy, but would never buy the asked price, they are not worth it
Nice to see that not everyone is into Creed and you have the Celsius scale. lol. I have bought a decant of it and got me a sample pack just to make sure the decant is not a fake. I do not get it either why people are loving it so much. I think it smell almost the same as Al Haramain l'aventure. Armaf is sharper and don't like it either. GIT is bad as well imho. Have not smelled SIlver Mountain water or virgin island water. Hope they are better than GIT/Aventus.

However, just in my opinion, if this person doesn’t “know you” and know you are legit, it’s very common to ask these questions on ANY fragrance due to the FAKES and Reproduction bottles. I've got two bottles of aventus , from 2011&2013. I think it's nice but that's it. I don't find it special so I just let my family use them. I'd rather wear alot of things. The whole hive mentality behind psychotic searching through batch codes is annoying beyond belief. It's more paranoia than anything else imo.
anything that evolves around creed is creepy. aventus and their scents are boring. the allure, affection and admiration towards them stems form the fake story that they are an old company. no perfumes before 1975 has ever been recorded. so they have copied guerlain's heritage history and keep on bragging on something that is not the case. such an 'historic' company going so bro-ish? please. glad you are not raving about it. just wondering in 50 years' time what they will say about aventus, and what will creed claim as to which celebrity wore this... if still alive i shall be around telling crazy bloggers, no-one famous wore it, just douchebags lol
Elysium is what Aventus aims to be. Cool Water is to GIT what Aventus is to Elysium, and it doesn't even matter which one was released first. Elysium is just flat out better!

I don’t blame the guy for wanting all those pictures. There’s a lot of fakes that go around the community and certain batches are faked more than others. When you’re talking about a purchase in the hundreds of dollars for a bottle of cologne I would absolutely want that info also. But for the sake of argument I totally understand your frustration with all that shit, but IMHO it is well warranted.

i had a sample that I got at Neiman's ..i think it was a 4/5ml...wore it once and was turned off by it.........couldnt wait to get home and shower it off...........i found it offensively loud(only sprayed twice) ...i dont work in an office but still it was way over beast mode............never got the hype........so.........cant give a s--t about Aventus.

this is unrelated to this video..but Eugene, you should watch AnotherFragranceReviewer...........someone who you will really like very much..one of the most honest,non "scene" people here........smart/nuanced and completely pleasant. Check out his review of Jean Claude Elena's book i think its called portrait of a nose............he expresses the essence of the book very well w/intelligence and panache.

Some people do memorize, know prices, and even make charts about batches. Aventus is faked alot , so that is why he was so through. I am not a fan of creed either. Enjoyed your experiance
i jsut cant be a sheep, all my life i have gone the other way. If a frag has huge attention, i stay away from it, just hard wired that way i suppose! As for aventus (vomiting as saying the word), not a fan of it, double piss on it for me then lol
