I have been getting it for my patellar tendon, for 4 times, last time was around december. It actually paid by ensurance or the orthopedian at least didnt take money from me. Unfortunately there is still no positive effect on that matter but im hoping for recovery with pt and managing load and exercises
I had a PRP series for patellofemoral arthritis in my left knee in February 2020. It worked for me as well. My symptoms were reduced by 90% and has held up for the last four years while still training heavy.
So before you got the PRP did you rehab the patellar tracking issue? I’m also dealing with patellafemoral syndrome (self diagnosed) but I didn’t see PRP as a typical treatment option. Is it supposed to rebuild the cartilage?
The cost was much lower than I what I was expecting... I tore my pec last year, and thought about getting an MRI with surgery to re-attach the tendon, but I heard that it was going to cost around $10K... I decided not to take the surgery since I only had a partial tear. Thanks for sharing us your experience and showing us the cost.. This could be a great alternative to some injuries.
Appreciate the transparency, great presentation. Been following the journey since Sheffield '23, can't wait to see Atwood on the meet platform once again. Let's go
appreciate you following the journey! it's unfortunate you have witnessed the 2 worst meets of my career as of late, but I promise there is more positivity to come. Stay tuned!
750 dollars is a good deal for a guided tendon injection. One clinic wanted to charge me 1100 per one injection, luckily found one clinic that charge me 450 per injection but it wasn’t guided since all my tendons are fine
Hey, Mr. Atwood, I am in pursuit of a WADA-drug-free powerbuilding-style method strength training. I primarily focus my lower half. I've done less than a dozen >12set upper body workouts. What variables should I consider for injury prevention?
@@TaylorAtwoodplI have now, commented halfway through watching the video, just remember it was WADA banned circa 2010. Just seems weird that it’s allowed given it contains growth factors such as PDGF, TGF-beta, VEGF, EGF, IGF and FGF which are banned. Seems like a weird technicality that’s skirts around using banned substances.
@@Cameron-xz6om i answered 3:26 into the video, not halfway through, but sounds like you are annoyed by my response about watching the video...i also mentioned in the video to check out the link in the bio, which i'm assuming you didn't either because you still commented the above. Here is the link for you to check out to make it "easy" for you: www.wada-ama.org/en/prohibited-list?page=0&q=platelet&all=1 scroll down to FAQs and you'll see PRP
