Muchos glad to hear your feeling better now tubes. This video has made me think about my life and bad habits I have that need changing. Much love tubes and hope your recoveries going well
I was there 6 years ago mate (but without the penis thing). Had the old tube up the arm and a stent fitted (same thing, blockage to one of the 3 major arteries). Hope to turn 50 later this year. All the best with your recovery mate and use your time well, don't waste it with bullshit and bullshitters.
I can't believe that we live in a country where, if you go down, there is a team of complete strangers waiting to instantly work around the clock to keep you alive - for no other reason than because your life is worth saving. Glad Tubes is doing well.
@@danieltwomey9797 didn't see or hear that. Glad to know someone also has a quick wit. And well done for your comment and pointing out how just unfunny you are.!
Kyle Williams I’m sorry man I shouldn’t have said it to you if you actually came up with the comment it was very funny I was just pointing something out sorry though :)
envy of the world UK, Only place were you can be on the deck without a single penny you have heart attack, within 40 min your being worked on by some of the best cardiologist in the world, I'm living proof of it TWICE, NHS 👍👍👍👍👍
Absolutely, some locations in the world if this happens you are pritty screwed. My uncle was on holiday in Spain and had a heart attack in the shower and got air lifted to hospital. They told him if he wasn't as fit as he was not including his hart valve that failed he would of died right there. Lucky for him he dont drink alcohol or ever smoked and exercises a lot. He was very lucky they told him because people normally die from a valve failing. It has effected him alot and aged him, his hair also went gray shortly afterwards it really took the wind out his sails so to speak.
@@KissMeWhereIWee souless reply pubert ,i feel sorry for you. life cant always be explained as easily as you think, one day you will learn this, take care
Tubes had me locked in locked on instantly... horrible story but very well told. Inspiration for us all.... just booked myself in for a all round check up! Bundles of respect fella
Amazing to hear the full story behind this guys. So glad to hear your back to health Tubes, I am sure this and the other stuff you have put out around your experience will help many people!
To be fair though he just let him spill the beans. the interviewers job here is to help the person speak freely. He did that well. Blokes dont speak all that freely about vulnerable times, and Tubes is part of lad culture to some degree. I think theres alot you can take from this video.
“I can’t feel my arms! And I’ve got not dick” love it when people make comedy about shitty situations, poor bloke tho, shocking to think it could literally just happen to anyone, glad you made a full recovery tubes ❤️
❤️N❤️H❤️S❤️ Can we just put every member of NHS staff on the new year honours list? It’s the least they deserve. Great to see Tubes is alive and what a top bloke for sharing this.
Weird how this is blowing up now. I was shitting it watching this, felt my heart beating the whole way through🤯. Great vid though mate, got a new sub here.
Thanks so much for posting this. I'm a GP and sadly heart attacks can be very difficult to pick up as they are easily interpreted as indigestion or other conditions so hopefully this helps to promote some awareness for people to suspect cardiac causes more often. Got to be honest, haven't ever actually heard anyone directly mention the shrunken penis before although it makes sense as the peripheral blood supply must have been shutting down
NHS are great but I'm on a waiting list for a Mri scan and it's 4 months long surely that's not fair can't even work for that period as I'm a class 2 truck driver
My father was sadly not as lucky to have survived a similar situation to yours. I want to thank you for sharing so openly the traumatic event you went through, it may just save someone's life. I also want to thank the amazing staff at the NHS, we are truly very lucky to have them, if only certain people realised it.
I had a major heart attack in Nov 2017 and Tubes story is very similar to mine. Luckily I was in the gym when having mine because all the staff there were trained to deal with such a medical emergency and were great while the ambulance arrived. Rushed straight into surgery same as you were and had the exact same massive relief as you described when the artery was opened. One slight hiccup with mine was one of the medical team thought I had passed out in surgery and defibrillated me while I was still conscious, that wakes you up I can tell you. I never checked my penis but i'm sure it was fine lol. Anyway Tubes hope you are making a full recovery and good luck in the future.
So pleased Tubes made a full recovery.. grew up watching you both on a Saturday morning with Tim and Helen and was devastated to here firstly about tubes issues and then even worse the heart attack. Massive respect for the both of you! X
I had a massive heart attack in 2015 . My life was saved by one the most skilled surgeons in Britain . Apparently , the docs and nurses didn't think I would survive ; half an hour at most , they said . Thankfully , for me ( and my family ) , the most wonderful Mr Murphy , heart surgeon extraordinaire , thought differently . I thank him for continuing my life . God bless the NHS . I can very much emphathise with Tubes : get well soon , mate . From the heart ! 😉 Btw , please follow all the advice and instructions the docs have given you . Take care .
Thank you for sharing this, as a nurse I feel it's so important for situations like this to be shared to make others more aware of the events leading up to such a serious medical event!! So glad tubes has made a full recovery!
Such a funny account, brought tears to my eye a bit...Last year we lost a mate on the golf course (Massive Heart Attack)...He'd played 5 holes with it progressively getting worse but we were non the wiser...not sure it would helped to have known the symptoms, we did CPR, Air Ambulance etc. but no restart (Kills me even now to think back). Glad you made it through
It’s brilliant putting information like this out there......heartwarming, funny and frightening video at times. Hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2020 and beyond 👍🏼
Don’t think I’ve ever heard a heart attack told like this- a really thorough explanation. No doubt will help a lot of others who maybe experience similar symptoms. Hats off to you blokes!
This is a big eye opener about heart attacks which I have never really heard much about before, he is so lucky with all of the little coincidences that happened
Great video, thanks for uploading. Have to say it brought a tear to my eye, I lost my brother to a heart attack when he was 32 just over 5 years ago, he like tubes was fit and played football and rugby regularly, unfortunately he had an underlying heart condition which wasn’t picked up and sadly passed away leaving a young family behind. As Tubes said please be aware that heart attacks can happen at any age or physical condition, if you feel unwell or show any symptoms please get checked out!
I’m so sorry to hear that Charlie. Hopefully this will help some people spots signs so they don’t have to go through what you have. Hope you’re okay. x
Enjoyed this story because of the good ending .Respect to them ambulance drivers, paramedics , nurses and doctors . These are our hero’s , when we are in trouble these guys will save us . Just remember that
Previously before it happened had a Pinching feeling over few days . Then the fourth day was at the gym doing legs . & just wasn’t feeling it . So stopped & want home . & then Half an hour later Felt the sharpest pain ever . & collapsed . From been Completely dry to soaking wet with sweat. Family called the ambulance . & like tubes was saying they came really fast . With in bout 5 ta 7 mins . & the same the police driver was taking the piss in a good way & while the Driver was Lewis Hamilton . Got the QuickTime . They was ready ta work on me . Had the Ink but in to my in the groin ta see where the blockage was . & the had the 1 stent Put in . Next Woke up feeling fine .
So glad tubes is putting his story out there. My dad had a heart attack in March 2018 and had to have an operation awake to have a stent put in! He was the exact same had been smoking / drinking / overweight etc. Then he Lost 3 stone, stopped smoking and stopped drinking etc. and THEN had a heart attack! Fortunately due to the NHS has made a miraculous recovery but not everyone is that lucky. All the signs tubes pointed out are very realistic and very accurate and it’s so important that you trust your instinct and act fast! Thank you for putting this out there and raising more awareness for the symptoms of a heart attack ❤️
Robbie Knox thank you so much! Yes he is very well. Weirdly he said soon as he had the heart attack and it was over, he had never felt better or fitter or healthier. Proves how badly a clot can make you feel and at the time you don’t even realise! This video meant a lot to both of us as growing up me and my dad were HUGE fans of soccer AM and tubes, so again, thank you so much for doing this and spreading awareness ❤️
My dad had a heart attack last year. He is the fittest person I know, running marathons and so on, but after his spin class, he suddenly couldn't feel his arm, a sort of spinning in his fingers. My mom went into their room, and at the exact moment that my mom came in the door, he got a heart attack. My mom is a doctor, so she held my dad alive until the ambulance came. The doctors said, that it was because he smoked when he was younger. He survived luckily, but don't smoke! Thought I'd share. He is up and running again. GREAT VIDEO BTW!
Everyone should watch this.. my dad was 57 when he died of a heart attack, my grandad was 60.. I recently turned 48 and I’ll admit it’s a huge fear of mine.. Glad Tubes is ok now..
Tuuuuuubes! Great video! I’m a paramedic and hear this regularly. There can be symptoms in the lead up to the event several days beforehand, and it’s good that you have talked about this. ie feeling short of breath or chest tightness on exertion say climbing the stairs or noticing that you’re unable to do your regular day to day things without symptoms. People should speak to their GP and get an ecg, echocardiogram and maybe an angioplasty where the cardiologist checks the coronary arteries for narrowing and if needed put stents in there and then. It’s good to see you on Soccer AM looking so well and still having a great time playing football ⚽️
Hey mate, I know it's been two years since you commented, but figure I'd ask you. What are the warning signs that lead up to a heart attack? Honestly I'm petrified about my heart. I get chest pains quite frequently, but most of the time it seems to be coming from my shoulder blade and comes through the front, other times it's like a pain that comes from my left pec near the armpit. I did have a CT angio done about 6 years ago and the doctor said there was no evidence of plaque buildup. I am also a chronic worrier about things, so that can't help. I'm due to go to a cardiologist in the coming weeks to try figure out what's going on. But until then, I'm a bag of worries.
The first time I was having a heart attack I was I thought I had indigestion. For 4 days I just ate gaviscon and smoked weeed. Then my arms went all gammy and I couldn't straighten them. I managed to call the ambulance and for the next two weeks I was in hospital. 10 years later I had several heart attacks and I was dead for ten minutes. Lost my job, nearly lost my flat, I wasn't given any type of benefits. I remember waking up on the operation table with my trousers and pants down to my ankles with my heart being operated on via my wrist. Thanks for this video man.
It’s great that you’re putting this out there, as a stroke victim I have some understanding what it’s like, but doing this and helping people out there who are confused, frightened and all the rest of it, a big big thankyou.
As a medic and a doctor who's actually worked in cardiology as a junior doctor and now training to be GP, this is fascinating to hear. Really enjoyed it's not often we hear the patients story and how they actually felt while it was going on. We know the textbook symptoms and clinical signs etc but rarely do we appreciate what it actually feels like to live through it. Loss of feeling in arms and legs is not typically associated with cardiac ischemia but it's what you reported and so it's very important to know. Even the silly stuff like penis shrinking is actually incredibly important to share, it's real world shit not something we ever read about in our medical books or guidelines Your experience is immensely important to our clinical knowledge and how we can use it to help and advise others and maybe pick out or suspect heart attacks that might otherwise get missed Thank you for contributing to our medical knowledge!!
Brilliant, thank you so much for this, how great to see a couple of mates talking about this in a total no bullshit mode. I reckon this will help people in the early stages, hope you’re feeling chipper now.
Thank you for sharing your story as a heart failure sufferer it’s good to see people talk about it and make more people aware of the risks and the warning signs
Hi James P. Pls WhatsApp me regarding this issue as I may require your expert personal advice before anything else he happens? Thanks 07907746888 Cheers in anticipation DHJ
Tubes this is amazing. It definitely was your dad looking down on you mate. Brought a tear to my eye when you said that. I really hope you’re well now mate
thanks for this, I myself am slightly over weight - dont live the healthiest of life style and have had slight chest pains in the past. this has made want to me sort myself out. Glad you're well now Tubes
new rules for checking if you are having a heart attack: "Do you feel a pain in your left arm, do you feel a shortness of breath, does your willy look small"
Watched this when you first posted this Robbie and thought Tubes was amazing for sharing. 3 weeks ago I suffered a major heart attack and now watching this, it brought it all back to me. People ask me now what it was like and Tubes story is very similar to mine. Even down to the numbness in my legs and a shrinking penis. If any of you have any doubts do what Tubes says, get yourself checked out! You only have one crack at life, don't waste it!
What an incredible video Robbie. I just knew there was more to you and your friends than country walks and doorbells! So glad everything worked out well for you Tubes, and thank you for sharing your story. And the repressed affection at the end between two men who clearly think the world of each other was brilliant. 😂
Tubes, you have a wonderful guardian angel up there looking down on you, knocking your phone out, making your mum have her phone on her (my mum never did) and getting fast track into theatre when on another day it might have been busy. Inspirational story to add to overcoming your previous hurdle. Thanks for sharing.
If you’re openness regarding this whole nasty episode in your life helps save just one more life, you can sit back and know you’ve done your bit. We know you’ll go on to do much more to help this cause though, that’s plain to see. Stay healthy Pipes... err... sorry, Tubes! 🤗
I had one in November 2017 at the age of 29. I had it on a Friday and didnt even realise, i didnt go to hospital until the Sunday after id been to a football match also. Im so lucky to be alive still. Thanks for sharing.
@@RobbieKnox doing okay now, thanks. It's more mentally than physically with me now. After it happened I was in shock that it could happen to someone at my age and i dont think I will ever get over it. NHS were absolutely amazing. Ps. Wish you were still on the Tele with Tubes!
Awesome video as ever and really informative. Fair play to tubes for his honesty. This only just trumps your supercar vectra video but may save a life so it has to come first.
Amazing stuff fellas. So lucky that Tubes got to tell his story.. and in that footballer type present perfect tense. Although concerned that willy shrinkage thing happens often to me on long bike rides and playing football. I think this should be the topic of a future video Robbie?
Hello tubes glad you pulled through mate. My sister had a heart attack 2 years ago. It was early in the morning and she was with friends, they didn’t know CPR and called an ambulance. The ambulance didn’t get to Lisa for 40 minutes. Lisa wasn’t breathing when the ambulance arrived so they gave her 8 shocks. The 8th one got a faint heart beat. The Drs said she was very lucky but now it was a waiting game to see how Lisa would or if she would pull through. Lisa was then in a coma in intensive care for 2 weeks. After 6 months Lisa was transferred to a specialist brain injury hospital. By this time we was told her heart attack and lack of oxygen meant she had suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury so again we was told to wait and see how Lisa improves day by day. The Drs said it takes 2 years for the brain to heal so Lisa could improve. Well anyway 2 years later Lisa is up and walking and talking like you wouldn’t believe. Sadly Lisa has a very short memory and can’t remember the past 48 years of her life. I still hope Lisa will improve. I and my partner see very slight improvements little by little. Lisa has now lived with us for just over a year. I couldn’t bear the thought of her staying in a care home for the rest of her life.
I watched this straight after the vlog with Le Tiss! I didn't know this had happened to Tubes, its crazy how everything fell into place to save him! His old man deffo was looking down on you! Great vlog to raise awareness!
An incredible watch.. an honest and frank lookback at what must have been horrific for you and your family. Well done for getting back on your feet. Great video.
Just been doctors with same syptoms. Blood pressure high. Having bloods tommorow and an ecg. Then a treadmill test. Cheers tubes had all your symptoms.
Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm due to have heart surgery soon and I've been warned to go A&E should I get any issues but this video has taught me the problems I should be looking for. Thank you :)
My Mrs had the same thing happen on friday the 13th 2017 blot clot hit the heart and stopped it.Luckily she told me to ring an ambulance because she couldn't move her arms or stand up, as they were doing an ECG she died infront of me.The two paramedics got her back and within minutes there were four other paramedics working on her.One week later to the day she came home. She was lucky you were both lucky most people do not have a sign of whats coming.I hope every thing goes aswell for you as my wife.
Such a fantastic and precise explanation. Thank you both. I'm 48 and last Sunday I had my second heart attack, I had my first one due to a clot when I was 30. This time I had warning, constant what I now know to be angina attacks. These I foolishly ignored, hence heart attack part 2 this time it's personal!.. I echo Tubes comment completely. Don't be an utter bell#@d like me, get yourself checked out at the first sign of trouble. The Nhs, in my case it was Wirral and Liverpool were beyond brilliant. From consultants down to the domestics, unbelievable devotion, care and hard work. In these times and this country they are the one thing that makes us great. Please appreciate and support in any way you can. Oh and get your ticker checked out. Thank you.
Love how Tubes keeps his humour through the whole ordeal! Ha Top bloke. Great that you are okay lad. Watched you on Soccer Am with my bro for years. Scary.
