Kudos to Meth challenging himself to no longer curse in his rhymes. Nothing wrong with cursing. But too many people out here in the streets still using motherfucker as a noun, verb and adjective. Smh. Pick up a thesaurus . It will help.
Especially if they knew the origin of the word, and how it came about. It will make a lot of black people refrain from using the word “ mf”. I say a lot, because there are just some who don’t care about history.
@@ruggedroots1 as an artist as well, bro i couldnt agree with you more bro. im trying myself to stop cursin so much in rhymes that shit is not easy i tell you that bro. that shit forces u to be better with your word play & your delivery, and it also forces u to be clever with your punch lines all that shit bro no cap
Always appreciate the extra rich hip hop history that gets dropped during these interviews. For those who grew up with the music, it adds extra context and nuance like the liner notes did when the albums dropped back in the 80s, 90s ...before the digital releases.
Math should try n get Ghost & Rae on the show n eventually Rza & the entire Wu. That would be so dope. If Meth came on, I think Math can get the whole team to come through & show love.
I can see Raekwon going on there but I can’t see gza,Rza,or ghost coming up there lol maybe even master killa and u god coming on here but hey who knows!!
Finally!!! A hip hop ambiance speaking on martial arts ☺️☺️☺️ I always feel like I’m alone when I talk about martial arts but the beginning of this ep making me feel like I’m in the room 💪🏿
Meth is such a great interview no matter where who who does it, because of his personality. He's not boastful, he just a cool ass dude. Respect. I also love that he's a big comic book nerd, let's go!
This is a Grown Tellin BROTHERS openly where he was at a particular time in his life when he wasnt in a good space with himself and owning it.....Method Man...Salute King!
Real talk as a writer taking curse words out of your lyrics does improve in a weird way because you think that cursing gives lyrics and additional impact you want the user to feel but you realize you can have the same impact without it if you choose your words correctly
He had no idea that girls, like me, loved Method Man! I had his 19 yr old self on my wall when I was 13. I fell in love with WuTang when 36 chambers dropped. Method is like my Michael Jackson of rap. He has no choice but to embrace the sex symbol status. He is who he is and he can’t change anyone’s opinion or vision of him. He’s a real dude. From how he looks to how he speaks. No doubt! Much respect and love to him!
Yooo I was at Rock the bells NYC like ten years ago; I went to catch Mobb and Sean Price mainly. Sean was on stage and was like " where everyone at? Oh they probably at Roc Marc stage.." . Got a pic with Prodigy and Price plus I got put on to Roc. Has to be the best day of my life.
Very dope interview! So insightful. I love hearing these stories from those involved in the soundtrack of my life. One Love to Hoffa and the crew for these great interviews!
Meth man to me at 29 years old is our east coast snoop dogg… he do be coming out and have that new era 90s flow still that I feel still is needed… I think the cast was right in saying meth is one of the fore fathers who need to help transaction into that legacy hip hop stat
☀️🍇🖤He is so humble for saying when he was wrong and saying when he's sorry. To me he's a living legend who imparts artistic knowledge and blueprints for manhood. METHOD MAN FOREVER👑🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
When Meth performed one of his oldest songs off that tape, I was just in Awe he could memorize that..Hip hop is missing the passion he has for this genre. If only there was more ppl built like him n had the respect for the music they make, then it would become better music. But cash rules everything, including the music business
Meth has always been able to stand amongst the best emcees. I am a self-ordained Wu head and it's Meth who introduced me to the rest of the clan. While I was bidding upstate I got a chance to holler at him on the jack by my sun Un (Mickey Mirrors). Meth shouted me out and told me to "hold my head." When Meth and Math spoke about their ecstasy escapades, I was dying laughing, because I can relate. That come-down the next morning will have you cussing out the same people you were just adoring hours earlier. Once again, thanx for the interview Math.
One of Meth’s best guest verses was on Trillmatic with A$AP Nast. Had Yams not passed A$AP Mob as a whole would of been so much bigger. Even Rocky stopped taking music serious after Yams was gone. 😔🙏🏿
This whole generation is garbage y'all scared to say it. They on some white nerdy shyt hiding behind they fears cause they can't rap. And y'all buying into it. That's like believing women will start telling the truth it's won't happen. These new rappers unconscious and these white people want every black person unconscious.so we can't see the game. You see how the game change. They trying to make wrong right. And make hate love because of these low energy rappers with no life or heart in them. Peep game. This is really going on. It's no joke. If you stand for nothing you fall for everything. See now how everybody falling for everything. See how women get fake this and that like rock star women see how black male wearing small clothes and doing pills like them rock bands people.and wearing tattoos in they face like rock band. That's not black people. That's just not us. And blacks lying to themselves acting like that us they took on rock band identify being delusional acting strange weird sex just like a rock band artist. Tell me when blacks hood dudes start dressing and acting white. Our black race is tripping that's ain't us and we lying to ourselves. GOD see all and the money is covering it all up. But deep down these kids suffering and rapping in fear. Just look at lil Wayne does he look normal. No
I had the chance to hang out with The Clan in 97 when they came to HI. They were all real cool and still hood. Meth stood on some speakers in the club and rock the club. They performed for 3hrs straight. They shot the It's Yours video in HI.
Method Man has always been one of my favorite Wu-Tang Clan members. He has grown so much and he's very smart. Hope Redman gets on Math Hoffa's Expert Opinion. Method Man's Tical is definitely a classic album.
No choice is normality we make choices everyday on shoes clothes houses cars that has nothing to do with anybody but yourself. And the people with power are living an illusion. There's only on power GOD. Everybody else be delusional cause they have no power all power comes from GOD. The power you talking about is Satan given false power but it's an illusion it's reality it's called hate
This was great. I really appreciatie meth appreciating the nuances in the acting as well. I can really tell he improved over the years. He was very good in the deuce.
I would love to see homie with the dreads and glasses go at it with Wallo267 about who a hip hop historian 😂. That’ll be a good one, i think we need wallo or wallo and gillie up here soon. Y’all 2 got the hottest podcast too
When the guy in the green hat (sorry I don't know everyone's name yet) was talking about negative energy might not come back to you, but it might come back to your loved ones. Whew! That hit home for me.
🤣🤣🤣 I gotta pay the water bill, method man being the real with it. Thank you method man for everything 🙏 you spoke through music n in my 42 yrs of life. Thank you
Great show as always. Great to see Meth on here again. My number one flow, cadence in hip-hop. Always has been. I really respect him talking so openly about anxiety and insecurity too. Respect to you as always brother. I call my brother son because he shine like one
“Keep making noise until your heard” I stream and avg 6 viewers a night and man I just want the world to see me, my ppl game to!! But meth thanks I’ll live and Die by that Motto
In my opinion, Meth always -- ALWAYS -- sounds like the coolest dude to pick up the mic. As a teenager in the 90s, for me, his look and persona just drew your attention and his sound like "man that's the coolest mfer i've ever seen or heard." Love seeing Meth on here and I will watch every interview with him end-to-end. Legend.
Meth bugging thinking he was wack during a certain time period (it seem to be 99-01 he talking about). I like his verse on "the worst" and some of the verses off the b-side projects such as justice for all with killarmy and rza
Philanthropists are the ones that know they’ve nothing of note to give so they leave money. Musicians, Artists they’ve left their hearts and souls to all of us and we thank you for that
Man I’m sorry I’m late but this Channel or Podcast right here is 🔥🔥🔥to the crew much love from Lexington Kentucky 💯 Math Hoffa I’m watching Awesome show with Method Man!!
I feel like Math (Pronounced MAFF) is gonna have a studio built just for him b/c this show is fire!! I hope he keeps it like this b/c the overhead is less and it seems less stressful to produce
I agree with meth 100%, Roc Marciano is a genius, on the low. One of my favorite Roc Marciano songs is a song called "pray 4 me". Beautiful sample, beautiful, the way he flows to the beat. Just an incredible artist. . . . . Great episode
yo these interviews are the truth! love the background to a lot of the artist and music that i grew up on. Meth is one of my favorites.. i hope he does bridge that gap and put out some new music and we can get back to artist with real bars again.
The first hip hop songs were performed to r&b and disco break beats. So hip hop is definitely a child of many genres. That’s what makes our music do beautiful. 💯
Yo Meth is such a humble dude that has EVERY RIGHT to NOT be humble. I love that! R.I.P. To real hip hop. But fr tho, you'll live forever in our hearts!!!
I had to listen back to "Lemon" when Mef said he don't curse in his raps no more cause I was sure I heard... But no, he said Eff not fuck, he said women not bitches, and pretty much anywhere he could have said nigga he said MC instead. And the verse was still hard as f... Eff!
🤣🤣Lmao yooo Math you a fool. I love how y'all ended that with the ghost question. Meth face was priceless. Like "is he seriously gone ask me that right here right now?!" The cut before he could say anything was perfect
method man was always more then a rapper, he did under achieve musically but was able to have a strong presence long after tical dropped. he was the guy around the early tical days and if he didn't take so dam long to release a 2nd album he would have been even bigger which is crazy to say cause meth is still a big deal... but t2 didn't give us what we wanted from meth, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great.. i dubbed it from cd to tape in a different order which helped it alot and i use to do that a lot with albums and leave the worst songs off it completely. nastradamus was the same and isn't as bad as people make it out to be, it isn't even the worst nas album either, ....and speaking of drops.. vado has a lot of drops in songs that are sneaky as hell too.. shit be like a quarter of the way threw or 30 bars in then the whole tempo just switches up.
