What I noticed about Nic is that when he looked at Austin, he only looked into his EYES. Which is such a respectful thing; a beautiful person. Some people would just look at every aspect of his face except his eyes. ❤

For sure, especially not being able to move the eyes and having to turn your head to see things. He must have put in a LOT of effort to learn to speak so clearly!
Aww this was so lovely, just two beautiful souls sharing their stories and accepting one another is just amazing. Real connections are hard to come by and from what's been shows these two seem to really get along I hope they keep in touch would be super awesome
It's a bit weird to say it like this because it seems like you're downplaying his disability or saying that his personality makes up for it. Idk it's hard to explain but I'm disabled and this wording made me cringe. I understand that you had good intentions, of course. I just wish you had phrased it differently. Like "he seems like a really nice guy, I'd love to get to know him" or "people are awful sometimes for staring and treating him like that. If they gave him a chance instead of judging him, they'd see that he's a genuine and kind soul."
I liked both of them seem like really cool people to be around and if someone judges you for your disability they aren't worth your time because this guy is such a sweet soul 💗
His face is normal, once you know he can't move it, the character takes over and makes him even more normal and also his date is well cute. They would suit each other.
Do any of these ppl ever make a relationship out of this? Sometimes I get confused on what these ppl are wanting out of doing this. And does going on a date mean something different to others?
I think the point of it is just to have fun, have a new experience, meet someone new. I don't think it's meant to be all that serious, like they're about to meet the love of their life... although that's possible. That being said, I think the chances are slim, considering neither person picked the other person as a date, like in usual dating, this is just a set up of 2 complete strangers.
They didn't show the whole date I'm sure, and the episode is focused more on him and his experience so of course they'll keep more of what he said in the video. It looked to me like Nic was really into the conversation though, his eyes showed a lot of compassion and interest in what they were talking about. Plus with things like this it's important to get the big questions out of the way so that you can keep them in mind for future conversations and avoid hurting the other person by saying or doing something ableist. Gets all of the awkward questions out of the way first.
I wouldn't compare who has it "worse". Both have unique struggles. But yeah it must have taken a lot of effort to do, though I'm even more impressed at how well he can talk/eat/drink with a lot of the muscles used to do those being paralysed. Must have taken a lot of practice
I absolutely love the chemistry between these two. I hope they continue to see each other even if it is as friends. Both good looking young men,full of personality.
